Drunk Of Love

When love crosses limits, it becomes devotion, and when devotion goes astray, it becomes an obsession.

And there they sat. Neatly aligned just as I taught them to be, awaiting my arrival with great glee as their tales swipe over the ground behind them. They were tilting their heads at our new guest or, rather, their new owner, observing you from their spots, raising their ears while doing so.

Stepping to the side, I gave you the opportunity to walk in first. Gladly taking it, you removed your wet boots on the carpet in front of the entrance, your feet making an unmistakable clicking sound as the hard shoes hit the wooden floor.

Following you, I closed the door and locked it behind me soon after with one wrist motion. Sighing out the moment, I heard the bolt lock the door.

Flicking on the light switch, I lifted my hand, pointing in a specific direction, giving all my dogs the nonverbal sign to leave. Not even needing to lock after them, I took off my coat and gloves, hanging them neatly up before my shoes.

While undressing myself, I could observe that you took off your jacket, hanging it up beside mine.
Giving me the sign that you aren't in a rush. Good...

Large sweat stains are visible under your armpits as the shirt sticks to your skin. You had sweat a lot back in the park, either because of the sun back then or because of me.
I am overjoyed that you had fun back then, still carrying the same handsome smile on your lips as that one that made me fall for you oh so hard.

Doing what I had in mind for so long, I cupped your right hand; not needing anymore to hide my feelings from you, I lovingly stroked it with my thumb as I led you deeper into our home and the adjacent kitchen.

Making your heart race with only this single touch, as you even still now yarned for a kiss, locking at my lips every time you had the chance, of course only then if you can withdraw yourself from my eyes, a feat hard even for those who only walk past by me, not to imagine how herculean this must be for you dear.

Walking around my private space, you could only be aw at the tidiness of.... everything. Not a single thing was out of place or position. Reaching from that one newspaper that was perfectly aligned with the edges of the table, it laid on up to the many books that sat on one of my shelves... All sorted, not even touched by a mere speck of dust on them as I prepared everything for you before the day started.

Only for you to walk around with your wet socks. Though I don't mind it, not at all, you could be covered in mud, dirt, and blood, and I would still let you in, into my loving but maybe even cold embrace. I would even clean you myself, as it is an honor for me as your wife.

As we both arrived in the kitchen, I opened the refrigerator. Feeling the cold glow shine upon me, I swiftly grasped one of the many soda cans inside of it before closing it once more.

"Here, you must be thirsty."

Opening the palm of your hand, it gave to you. Closing your gentle fingers around it as I laid my palm on top of yours.

"Oh, thank you."

It might not clench your thirst for long, but for this, I have the beer cans in the backside of my refrigerator, which I bought specifically for just this occasion.

Gripping the latch between your fingers, you opened it swiftly. Filling the dark room with the satisfying sound of it popping open the lid, soon followed by the silent fizz of it.

Not wasting any time, you took a long sip of it. Making me witness your strikingly prominent Adam's apple move up and down with every swig you took.

"Thanks, I needed this."

You Stated that while wiping off a couple of drops from your mouth as a satisfied sigh escaped your lovely lips. Making me shudder the moment I heard it.

"Say, is there something you might want to watch?"

Asked I you while turning on the TV in the living room. So that either the both of us could sit down on the couch or watch from the kitchen table.

"Not, really; just switch to something you like, Makima."

And so I did as you stated, searching for something that causes the least amount of background noises as the screen fades to black and lights up again. Just something that lit up the room beside the dim light of the kitchen counter and gave some maybe more quiet moments some life.

I would do everything for you to relax around me, dear, I want to be with you, and hopefully, you feel just the same (Y/N). I hope I won't annoy you.

"Can I sit down?"
you asked me sweetly, I could only smile at this, at your caring and compassionate way of thinking that I could hear from even the tone of your voice, and I, of course, answered you.

"Make yourself at home. I'll be by you in no time."

And with that, I disappeared to the bathroom. Taking some precautions for the later evening, closing the door behind me, I rushed to the sink mirror cabinet. Ignoring the cold white floor tiles on the ground below.

Opening it swiftly, I took out a breath freshener; unscrewing the lid, I took a big jug of the bright blue liquid and closed my eyes. It tasted awful, but I could not risk the possibility of having a foul-smelling breath, and so I gargled it in the backside of my throat before spitting it out into the sink, coating it in a tin film of it and my slaver.

Wiping away a couple of those blue strings of drool from my lips, I continued with the by far most important part as I searched through my freshly bought pack of lipsticks.

It was a great idea to go and buy a couple of them after I left your house yesterday, thankfully had the lipstick collection I purchased, just the one I needed.

Fishing it out, I glanced at it in the warm glow of the lights above me, reading the inscription to assure myself that it was the right one for you.

A Mild Lemon flavored lipstick. Never having done this before, I applied it quite poorly, but seeing as it had a transparent property to it made up for my incompetence more than enough.
Running the tip of my tongue over my lips, I could confirm myself or its taste without removing too much.

I wish that my first-ever kiss will be good enough to satisfy you (Y/N). Just as good as in those many dreams I have had about us.

Many of them are innocent, but others display my deepest and most sinful cravings for you, which only you can satisfy and relieve me of. Dreams that could soon become a reality.

I hope so; there is so much I would like to do with you, together growing old would be one of them.
Feeling my mouth watering again, I made my hair anew as I brushed through it. Carefully pushing every strain to its rightful place. Contemplating the idea of making my braided her new as well, though.... this might cost me too much time.

Awaiting Makima's return, I could do little more than plan all the things  I could and especially how I should say them, as I rhythmically tape my fingers on the wooden table. Beginning from my index up to my pinkie finger as I lowered and raised them, not unlike a wave. Creating a soothing little melody that calmed me down, if even just a bit.

Oh my god, what am I doing... I am already at a loss for words, and we haven't spoken much. But that reminded me of her question earlier in the morning, as she asked me if I drank. I usually don't, but I'll down whatever she puts in front of me, crossing my fingers that I loosen up a bit from it.

Like this, so tensed up, I would only end up like some speechless idiot.

This devil of a woman made me back into an insecure schoolboy, and you don't want it any other way.

And then there she came once more. Realizing it before she even arrived, as could hear the light switch turning off down the hall and how the floor border creek under her weight and the shadow she cast in front of her.

Stepping into his line of sight, the both of them looked a one another. Makima stood in front of the TV, casting a shadow over her beloved mate as she stood there idly, giving herself from her best side as she held her hands behind her back. Standing so in front of him that he had a good look at all her features while (Y/N) sat as upright as possible, fumbling around with his tie and trying to straighten it. Acknowledging her freshly kempt hair the moment the TV light shone beside and through it.

Both pairs of eyes looked at one another longingly, asking themselves and their counterpart what could be the next step as the TV did its best to drown out this uncomfortable situation between the two love birds.

"Tell me, how do you like it, the life of a devil hunter, I mean?"

Asked Makima out of the blue, trying to break the ice as she moved towards her coat, taking out the bar of chocolate. Wanting to share it with him. Hoping so they both can cool off a bit and get into the right mood for some more intimate things.

"It is...... great, I guess so...."

"You don't sound all too sincere about it (Y/N); you can tell me everything, you know that? We are more than just colleagues......"

The last spoken part made (Y/N) smile brightly, flaring up his cheeks bright pink, lifting his mood enough to pack out what bothered him instead of closing himself away from her. Secretly enjoin every little command she made about them, yearning for her touch and what's to come sooner than later.

"Alright... It's about my mother and...  Alice."

"The Book or?"

Asked she him while sitting down beside him. Placing the molten bar in front of him. Signaling him to take a piece of it if he likes to.

"No, I mean kind of, but it isn't what I want to say...."

Stocking his breath, he thought about how to formulate his thoughts the best; though not coming to an actual good explanation, he just spoke what was on his heart, unknown to him that Makima had more than just a simple idea from what he spoke.

"It was a mistake to become a devil hunter....". Though this wasn't was she had in mind, certainly not as her eyes widened at what she thought he would indicate, only to be calmed down as he continued where he left off. ..... "I should have found a place to live alone before that; I endangered them only with this decision. Yesterday showed me that clearly, Makima."

"Do you want me to help you out?"

Swallowing his pride, he gave in to the idea of receiving her help. Opening his arms to her fully, which he had crossed until now. Gliding them across the table and touching the chocolate bar.

"If you would be so nice, I could need a helping hand with this..... "

"Well then, I know an easy solution for this."

She said that with a playful tone, letting her hands travel to his as she got closer, dragging her chair behind her carefully. Trying t be as silent as possible while doing so, wanting to get closer to him without her interrupting him.

"And that would be Makima."

"live here with me~"

Nonchalant, a good, actually a great word to describe her attitude towards this here.

(Y/N) thoughts were a mess as she scrambled his brain since the start of the day into nothing more than mush. And continuing with every single word and deed of sincerity. However, he doesn't want her to stop, don't you? not at all, as you just stared at me. He was lovestruck to the point of not caring anymore if he could live with her or not, as he was stuck in the here and now.

"But let's switch the conversation to something more fun, shall we?"

Lifting herself from the table, to (Y/N) dismay, she moved again to the refrigerator. Wanting to pull it open but being stopped as the light of the sunset shines in her eyes. Reminding her that everything goes like planned as the night clocked itself in for this day as the last rays of light traveled down her chest.

The beginning of the night that will change them from colleagues into lovers.

Licking her lips from all the anticipation for what was still to come. Wanting to make this night into a dream come true not only for me but for you as well, my dearest reader.
