The longer the tears were flowing down my cheeks the tighter Jungkook's arm wrapped around me. Who knew that the tables were going to turn like this? My tears have dried out hours ago, now with my eyes shut I'm just trying to feel the coldness that was crawling on my skin from the marbled floor.

How weak I am, Mrs. Jeon just simply threw a person out of my life like that and here I am, crying on my knees begging for Soyeon to come back and save me from this misery. She didn't even have to harm me directly to make me this vulnerable, pathetic.

As hazy my mind was getting, turning every single thought that crossed it against myself, Jungkook wrapped his hands around my shoulders and stood me up on my legs. I slowly looked up to meet his ebony eyes. Sorrowfulness, for his mother's unceremonious action, Woe, for having to see my desolated form, Love and guidance, because he wants to fix me and bring me back my contentment. That's all I could see beautifully carved in it.

How magical it is, Jungkook didn't even utter a single word and I already know his heart and his intentions. I know he could read me as well but I also know that whatever he read was far away from positivity.

"Jungkook, how did everything end up like this?" I whispered quietly as I lowered my vision meeting his chest.

"Shhhhh, everything will be absolutely fine." He reassured, his arms drawing small circles on my back. I shook my head softly as tears were brimming at the edge of my eyes.

"How, Soyeon will never be back again." I pointed out the flaw. My hands slowly clenching on the dark fabric of his shirt. I will never get a hold of the person who kept me happy even when the world was against me.

Jungkook gently coaxed my chin up to meet his orbs once again. Because of the sudden movement, the overflowing tears finally rolled down my cheeks. His eyes were firm on me as his grip against my body tightened.

"But you have me by your side now and forever will." At some point of the day, you really need someone to assure you that they will be for you no matter what. At least that's what I needed right now. My head automatically fell on Jungkook's chest, at an instant his arms engulfed me in a hug.

I felt somewhat relieved.

Jungkook couldn't stay all day because he had work and left though it was against his will. I'm not complaining, work is equally important, I know and understand that. As for me, before I could even say anything work-related Jungkook said that he will talk to the manager and tell him that I'm taking a sick leave for some time, I didn't protest at that.

Even if I was hurt, of course, time wouldn't stop for me to cry, it will go on on its own flow. And why will I waste my tears like a fool anyway, not like it's gonna bring everything back to normal.

In order to keep my mind distracted I worked, hard. The dinner had already been served and everyone, I mean only Mrs. Jeon already completed it, as for Jungkook, he didn't come back since he left in the morning. A lot of work has stacked up maybe.

Mrs. Jeon left for her room before I entered the dining room and cleaned up the table, covering the food for Jungkook. I washed the piece of cloth with which I had cleaned the table and kept it hanging on a towel hanger.

I'm all done for today.

After taking an ice-cold bath to relax my muscles I changed into my nightwear. But instead of entering my room I walked into another vacant room also known as Soyeon's room. The room was left untouched, the door of the wardrobe was still hanging open as it had been in the morning. I sighed and pushed the doors shut. Leaning against the wooden doors of the wardrobe I found myself looking out through the window as memories flashed in front of my eyes.

Soyeon and I were carrying heavy boxes, well only one and the smallest one as well. Basically preparing for Jeon Jungkook's welcome party but damn that box's weight was no joke

''l think I just became 3 inches shorter because of the pressure that thing put on my body,'' Soyeon moaned out and I honestly couldn't agree more.

''I know right? you're already short af I was afraid that you'd become shorter to the point that your husband had to lay down to kiss you.''But I opposed it anyways.

A smile involuntarily made its way to my lips.

Then me telling Soyeon that she is never getting a hold of her so-called 'Prince Charming' causing her to fume with anger.

''You know, if a zombie comes here you're gonna be safe cause luckily zombies eat brain.'' Soyeon said with a dark glare.

And last and the most attractive one.

Us running around and me catching my breath before her.

''You saw Mrs. Jeon doing a fire rap secretly in her room?"ย  She did the same and I became impatient.

''Then what could it possibly be? Ohhhhhhhhh''

''You won a cow as the first prize in a lottery!'' Soyeon smacked my head real hard with her hands and I groaned out of pain.

I laughed silently at the thought and sighed, shutting my eyes.

A sudden warmth pressed against my body and not long after that I could feel a lightweight on my shoulder, near the crook of my neck which made my eyes flutter open.

"Why are you hurting yourself like this?" A deep voice belonging to the man pressed against my body resonated from my back.

"I'm just trying to keep myself happy by holding on to the memories, that's all." I replied, caressing the pair of hands that were wrapped around my waist.

I heard Jungkook sigh, his warm breath fanning my neck. He turned me around and stared at my face for a while. I saw as his eyes suddenly filled with determination as if he just made up his mind. I knew he had reached a decision but I didn't know what the decision was which is why I frowned when he wrapped his fingers around my wrist.

I only looked at him as he dragged me somewhere out of the house, I didn't ask any questions for I trusted him.

The frown disappeared from my face as the sweet scent of pollen-filled my nostrils. I looked at the person guiding me through the path showered with flowers. Eventually, he stopped and I inspected my surrounding. There were flowers everywhere, at least as far as I could see.

Above us were the leaden clouds and surrounding us were countless rainbow blooming buds, an unexplainable contrast. I inhaled in the scent feeling the calmness of the environment.

"Like what you see?" A sudden voice murmured near my neck sending shivers down my spine. I turned around so that my eyes could meet the equally beautiful face that was so close. I softly nodded. A small yet sweet smile appeared on Jungkook's lips.

"Thank you." I mumbled inaudibly.

Repeating his previous actions Jungkook wrapped his arms around my waist back hugging me. I only smiled and leaned my head against his chest, enjoying the darkness, the flowers, and mostly, Jungkook's presence and warmth.

"Always remember that you have me." He said breaking the silence, not moving even an inch away from me.

"You're all I have now." I confessed closing my eyes knowing that I was in good hands. Jungkook planted a small kiss on top of my head and once again silence took over us.

We were standing in the breeze without a word but that doesn't mean that we were feeling awkward because of the silence instead, it was the silence that we were enjoying, enjoying each other's company.

Just us.

"As much as I want to stay here with you we also have to get home beautiful." Jungkook said after a moment nuzzling his face into my hair.

"Yeah, I almost forgot about that." I replied earning a chuckle from the man.

Finally, Jungkook broke the hug, and before I could even manage to be disappointed about the fact that his warmth had left my body his hand intertwined with mine.

"Shall we proceed m'lady?" He said looking at me with a smile. His eyes replicating the twinkling stars of the sky. I nodded with a smile and followed, quietly admiring the person in front.

We walked down the lighted streets, hand in hand, occasionally stealing glances at each other and smiling at the sight.

As we were walking I could see the same old Jeon mansion nearing us, as much as I wanted to just run away I had to face the reality as well. I pushed open the entrance gate. Looks like after having each other in each other's arms we happened to lose track of time. The entire house was dark with only the blue moonlight lighting up certain portions.

After smiling at Jungkook for the last time I let go of his hands and stepped back.

"Call me, if you feel sick." He reassured and I just nodded.

After departing from Jungkook with a smile as I took approximately nine or ten steps a harsh noise echoed throughout the darkroom as I was thrown on the ground with a loud thud, a stinging sensation crept on my cheek.

Out of shock I touched the place where I had been slapped and slowly looked up with terror. I could hear loud footsteps making their way down the stairs and my name being called multiple times but I was left speechless looking at the figure standing in front of me.

"Mrs. Jeon?" I breathed out shakily.
