I assumed that girl Tzuyu left before Vernon came in but I don't see her exiting the place in the CCTV cam.

Does that mean that she didn't leave?

Was she there when Vernon died?

Could she possibly be the one who killed him?

Random questions circulated my head before I decided to voice out my observation.

When I was sure with my observation, I gestured Hoseok to look at the clipping while I told him what I noticed.

Everyone's eyes were set on me which made me feel pressurised.

"Who is Tzuyu?" The principal asked, "Where is she?"

"The last time I saw her was in the library," I replied.

"Ma'am, can we leave?" Hoseok asked. The Principal nodded so we both left.

"Hobi it's already kinda late. Do you still wanna drop me home?" I wanted to know why he desperately insisted on accompanying me home.

Earlier that day~

Hoseok's POV:

As I took a seat getting ready for my next class, a piece of crumpled paper beneath my desk grasped my attention. My brows grew together as I unfolded the paper.

Someone has been spying on us for quite sometime. And they decided to use the chance.

Not being quite sure of who Vernon is, I asked one of my classmates who he was.

If I don't obey this stalker then I might never see Y/n again? There was literally no connection to this entire situation.

Present Hoseok's POV:

I did not kill him.

I repeat to myself

I did not kill Vernon.

The shock still hasn't gone down. Receiving a letter from a stalker asking me to kill a guy and then hearing the news that he was murdered the very next period wasn't something to take lightly.

If they were planning to kill him then why would they send me a letter asking me to do that?

"You alright?" I heard her voice next to me.

"Yeah I am," I smile.

"Uhm... I need to get a book from our library and it's kind of urgent. College is probably gonna be closed tomorrow because of Vernon's death," She said as we continue to walk.

I know we're nothing more than friends but I'm disappointed knowing that she's definitely hiding things from me.

Your POV

"You live alone?" Hobi questioned as we enter my house. I simply sigh looking at the forlorn phone on the nightstand.

It was Jisoo's.

She never returned after she left the apartment that night. That was the last night I saw her. Ever since I'd be waiting for her to return.

"Actually I have a roommate."

"Oh, where is she now?"

"I don't know," I looked down.

"What happened?"

"You might've seen her with me. She's a senior at our college. She asked me not to wait for her yesterday after college but I never saw her again after that. I called her texted her done everything that I possibly could but no signs of her."

He sat down on the bed picking up her phone from the nightstand.

"Have you ever gone through her phone to find anyone who she contacts regularly?" I shook my head.

"Or do you know any of her friends?"

"Nope. Haven't touched that."

"C'mon let's try finding something," He gestured me to sit next to him.

When I pressed the power button of her phone, we were greeted with a dark gloomy wallpaper.

Once entering the home screen, he clicked straight into the gallery and we found a lot of peculiar pictures in it.

And then we come across a picture of someone I know,

"Jimin!?"

"I didn't know she knew him," I stated.

"Oh I totally forgot! Would you like to eat something?" I cursed myself for not handling my guests properly.

"Just a drink."

"Okay hang on, I'll make you some tea," I said walking into the kitchen.

Author's POV:

Hoseok's phone was about to die when he turned it on so he called out for Y/n asking her where she had her charger.

"In the drawer," She shouted from the kitchen.

"Okay," He said opening her drawer.

He was about to grab the charger but a piece of paper caught his attention. Not just any piece of paper but the one that has been troubling Y/n for the past day.

He realized this was what she was hiding from him the whole time.

He walked into the kitchen to find her making tea. All he could think of was to protect her from all the mess.

Damn does he like her that much already?

"You're here," She turned slightly smiling.

"Yeah wanted to ask you something," He said walking closer.

"What is it?" She asked turning to him.

"Care to explain this?" He lifted up the piece of paper and her eyes went wide.

"I didn't mean to hide it from you. I just didn't want to drag you into this mess that I'm already in."

"We shall find a way out of this together. I'm not losing you just like that," He sounded serious.
