"I should've locked the door." The now frustrated blonde huffs out. Don't get me wrong Camila was still in a feisty mood just not the one I wanted her to currently be in.

"Camila you could be a little sensitive." I scold while rubbing my best friends back trying soothe him.

Karin was the one who opened the door on Camila and I. Usually he would of cracked a sexual joke or leave us alone but he came in with puffy tear stained eyes.

The last time I saw Karin like this was when he found out about his mom.  I quickly scrambled off Camila who was very reluctant to release me but eventually detached from me.

"He doesn't think I'm serious about us." Karin manages to speak between sobs.

"I'm sorry. Maybe give Bennett sometime to cool down and try explaining things to him." I say gently still cradling my best friend.

Camila was now on the other side of the room on her bed glaring holes in the back of my best friends head.

"Yeah maybe give him sometime. You know what helps me calm down? A nice walk by myself." Camila says fake happily signaling him towards the door.

I send her a warning look and she just mouths what. She knew exactly what.

"Shut up blondie. It's mostly your fault your cousin doesn't think I'm serious." Karin scoffs pulling away from my comfort long enough to give Camila the finger.

"How is it possibly my fault?" Camila retorts rolling her eyes at my best friend accusation.

"He found out about us." Karin says us like it was a forbidden word.

"News flash you was the one going around telling people —- no more like bragging that we slept together." Camila yells suddenly getting up from her bed.

Please lord let's not have another situation between them happen like when Camila barged in Karin's house.

"Well Bennett didn't know! Now he does and now he doesn't want me anymore. You know what Camila? Karma is a funny thing." Karin laughs but neither her or I found this situation funny one bit.

"Karma?" Camila asked confused which to be fair I was also confused.

"Yes Karma. I'm not getting laid anytime soon and now looks like neither are you." Karin states sticking out his tongue like a little kid.

"Alright I had quite enough." Camila claims making sure I'm out of attachment range for Karin to latch back on to me and grabs him by his neck.

"I think you should go take that walk now." Camila says with a fake smile closing the door on Karin.

Camila looked stronger than what I thought she was.

Camila turns to me and asks, "Are you staying or going?" You could tell clear as day she was frustrated possibly sexually frustrated.

A part of me wanted to stay, ravish her like she wanted me to. Another part of me mostly my conscious was telling me follow my best friend.

"Why are you acting like this?" I ask annoyed.  I mean I know my best friend interrupted us but he was my best friend.

"I'm not acting anyway." Camila denies flopping face down on her bed. I am not going to admit it to her but her pouting was cute.

"Anyways, I'll fine. Look as much as he annoys my very being your best friend needs you right now." Camila sighs almost regretting instantly what she did to poor Karin.

"Camila-" I start to talk only for her to reassure me she's fine. Not buying it I approach her turning her head to look at me.

I lean down and give her a quick kiss.

"I'll be back. After all we got some things unresolved." I state gently stroking her hair while she looked at me like a kicked puppy.

"Promise?" Camila ask with a cute pout plastered on her kissable lips.

"I promise." I kiss her on her forehead then shut the door on my way out. I guess it was time to go on a man hunt. Well more of a boy hunt.

In all my years of friendship with Karin I never had such a hard time tracking him down like I did now.

To be fair Steeles Lodge was like a castle with five different floors. It was easy for someone to get lost.  I should of asked Camila to help me find Karin. On second thought if she was to find him before me she most end up committing a murder.

Sighing frustrated, I adjust my glasses that kept slipping down to my nose. I also shouldn't be putting much pressure on my left ankle which was sprained due to my misadventures with skiing.

"You look lost." I knew that voice from anywhere I turn around and come face to face with yet another goddess.

"What gave me away me wandering aimlessly around this ridiculously huge lodge." I retort with sarcasm evident in my voice.

Axial chuckles while tucking a loose strand of her raven hair that came loose in ponytail.

"It is pretty ridiculously huge even for a lodge." Axial says in a teasing voice while smirking.

Axial was now back in her blue suite that I assume Mr.Steele made the people that worked there wear. I was use to seeing Axial flowing raven hair cascaded down her shoulders. To see her hair up in a ponytail made her look another level of hot.

"I don't mind you checking me out one bit. Something tells me though you are searching for someone." Axial seemed to always have keen observation skills.

"Have you seen a black hair boy, blue eyes, in a denim jacket sporting a red scarf?" I ask suddenly feeling like a detective in one of those crime shows I watch.

"You mean Karin?" Axial yet again keenly asks observant as ever.

"Yes." I plead with Axial to tell me what direction he went or even if she knew were he was.

"Poor lover boy was a mess last time I saw him. I went to clock back in and he was frantically demandinga room change with someone named Bennett."  Axial reveals rubbing the base of her neck with her hand.

"Thanks Axial." I say before turning towards the other direction only to be halted by a cold hand on my right elbow.

"First, I don't think it's a good idea you hopping around in the hall. Secondly, what even happened to your foot that has you hopping around here like leap frog and thirdly, you don't even know where your going." The more Axial continued the more sense she was starting to make.

Lowering her self down Axial signals for me to get on her back.

"Axial I can't." As much as my ankle was killing me I was a thousand percent certain the embarrassment of being on Axial's back would be worse.

"You can and you will." Axial stubbornly dominant voice commanded still slightly bent waiting for me to hop on.

"This is embarrassing." I mumble while adjusting myself on her back.

"No its not. I got to say though this wasn't the ideal way I wanted you to ride me." Axial says flirtatiously while gripping my left and right leg tightly so I was more secure around her.

I couldn't even think of an response do her sexual comment so I just roll my eyes.

"Your so predictable. I can literally feel that eye roll you just did."  Axial chuckles while walking down the hall.

"Sure you can." I grumble while letting both my hands relax around her shoulders.

Axial jumps a little causing me to almost fall before she hoists me back on her back.

"You should be careful babe, before you start falling for me." Axial says confidently with Im sure her signature smirk plastered on her face.

Geez. Point for her for originality.   How much father was the front desk? I swear when Camila and I walked to our room it didn't take this long.

Almost like she could read my mind Axial sarcastically asks,   "Where is your better half?"

"That's who I'm looking for." I say thinking she meant Karin but knew deep down I knew she was actually referring to Camila.

"Yeah, sure. Anyways her loss is my gain." Axial replies back already back to being arrogant.

I was about to question what she meant when suddenly she comes to an halt and puts me down.

"Your stop, my lady." Axial says in a fake British voice bowing to me like I was a queen.

"Thanks Axial." I genuine reply and give her smile in which causes her usual cool composure face to heat up.

"Anytime." Axial winks regaining her self confidence back quickly.

She makes her way over to a lean boy with curly chest nut hair, wearing the exact suit as Axial was.  Axial throws up her hands in frustration than stomps back over in my direction.

"What's going on?" What I really wanted to ask who was the handsome guy she was about to pummel but decided against it.

"Nothing much just Matt here knows where your pal went off to but was bribed not to tell." Axial scoffs with her fist balled to her side.

"Let me try talking to him." I reply. Axial's eyes held uncertainty but nodded at me anyways.

"Good luck getting anything out of him, after all he is a Pierce." Axial says the last name like it left a bad taste in her mouth.

This was just wonderful this idiot was probably related to Daniel—who was also probably here too.

"Listen, I'll make it worth your while if you tell me where Karin is." I say using my best flirtatious voice and being sure to bat my eye lashes.

This Matt dude just bursts out laughing and looks at me with his light green eyes.

"Was that your attempt of flirting?" Matt ask trying to catch his breath.

Okay my ego was a little wounded. Not only was my ego a little wounded it looked like this Matt guy was going get wounded by a fuming Axial behind me.

"Okay, Evelyn. We tried it your way which obviously failed now it's time do things my way." Axial states darkly her oceanic eyes holding a wildness behind them I haven't yet witness as she looks at him with a malicious smirk.

Matt finally realizing who he was pissing off stopped laughing and now had a somber look upon his face.

Axial grabs Matt by his collar and lifts him above ground like he was weightless. Not going lie it was sort of hot.

"Come on now Axial, you aren't going hurt me. You need this job you wouldn't risk it." Matt states knowingly with a arrogant smirk on his face that made me want to punch it.

"You obviously have no idea who I am or what I would do for her."  Axial declares with fire raging in her eyes. I could tell she wanted to beat the crap out of him but she was holding back.

Gulping, Matt curses underneath his breath and gives up the location of my best friend.

My eyes widen when Matt tells us where Karin is and I look at Axial who also had a look of concern etched on her face.

"We need to go now." I state urgently already trying rush towards the door with my bad ankle.

"For the love of—- Evelyn you can't just take off you don't even know where you are going." Axial sighs with frustration once again trying to ingrain it into my head that I didn't know my way around.

"I know. I was going go back to the room because even though I know we need to find Karin as soon as possible we need all the help we can get." I say trying to convince Axial she needed to be a team player and not a hater.

"You don't mean—" Axial begin to say when o cut her off.

"Yes. I mean Camila." Hearing her name causes Axial face to distort in discomfort.

"We would be better off by ourselves."  Axial says trying to convince me with her beautiful blue eyes. The trick was not to look directly in them so I wouldn't fall under her spell.

"You and I both know the best person to deal with this guy is Camila." I state while leaning up on Axial's right shoulder for support.

She insisted on carrying me on her back again but I insisted on trying walk on my own.  That and we kept getting weird looks from people passing by.

"I don't know Winters, I am pretty good at getting what I want." Axial emphasizes the word want while her eyes linger on my lips.

Was she about to kiss me?
