"If I didn't know any better I say you was avoiding me." Camila jokes but her eyes held a look of seriousness.

"Me? Avoiding?" I nervously chuckle which only confirmed what she was suspecting.

"Let's go hit the slopes. I did promise your mom after all." Camila winks gathering her gear.

"You promised her what?" I ask with confusion laced in my voice.

"Guess you'll have to come with me and find out." Camila winks than extends her hand from me to take.

Should I take her hand? Looking at her hand I find my fingers being laced with hers. It was oddly more warm than other hand holding mostly because I was sweating from nerves.

I have kissed Camila a lot. I have been touched by her so much but I can't stop the beating of heart wanting to leap out. Ever since her confession everything now felt more exposed and real.

I always liked Camila, from such a tender age  she became my first crush. Why was I now so aware of my feelings for her? It must have something to do with this damn vacation atmosphere.

"Penny for your thoughts?" Camila voice interrupts me which causes my cheeks to heat up.

"I was just thinking how big this how place is." I lie hoping she didn't call me out on it.

"Well it is a ski lodge after all, Winters." Camila says waving at my parents who was helping Maverick with her gear.

"Evelyn!" Maverick brushes off our parents and barrels at me full speed. Laughing I give her a big hug.

"Hey, mini me. You all set aren't you?" I gesture to her gear and she looks at me with fear in her eyes.

"Hey, what's wrong?" Camila interrupts my sister and me causing me to glare at her.

"I'm scared of heights." Maverick admits to Camila which surprises me.  Maverick always had a tough time opening up to people. To see her open up to Camila was heart warming.

"That's ok. We have little slopes right over there for kids like yourself." Camila pats Maverick on the head and gives me a wink.

"I want to ride with Eve." The eight year old pouts and crosses her arm.

I was about to open up and say something when Camila once again steps in.

"How about we both go?" Camila charmingly adds.

"I guess that's fine." My little sister agrees. I guess Camila charm not only works for people our age but on people of all ages.

"Are you sure about this?" I ask skeptical eyeing the child size slope with hesitation laced in my eyes.

"One hundred percent." Camila states confident as ever.

I had make up my mind to try to act civil towards Camila. At least while we were away at this ski lodge. I didn't want to put a damper on my family fun outing. Besides I had to share a room with her and I rather be on her nice side than the other.

"Sis it's super easy!" Maverick yells out gliding away on the slope looking like a pro. That was another difference between her and I. Maverick is a genius she can pick up on anything pretty easily, me on the other hand I was a completely different story.

"Come on princess, If your little sister can do it so can you." Camila whispers teasingly challenging me in my ear.

Feeling the blood pumping through my veins I firmly grip my ski poles in my hand and take a deep breathe. I was trying to gently go down the slope when I feel myself being nudged forward.

"Camila!" I scream out already traveling down the slope. Today was her last day alive because I was going to end her.

"Sometimes you just need a gentle nudge!" Camila's laughter rang out and she was holding her stomach from laughing at my reaction.

Like I said before that woman was purely cold. Almost as cold as this snow that was now in paling my face.

I knew my balance was non existent, but I would of thought I would last longer than an measly minute on the kid slope.  Here's to always proving myself wrong.

Looking concerned of my complete wipe out Camila rushes to my aid. I half expected my little sister to come to my rescue only to be betrayed.

Off to the distance Maverick kept adjusting her pink beanie something she did when she was nervous. She was a massive fidgeter. I look over to the little girl next to her that had about two inches on her. This little girl was sporting a big winter baby blue coat and her chestnut hair was braided down to the side.

"Looks like your little sister has a crush." Camila speaks up from behind me offering her hand for me to take.

"What?" I ask as always confused as ever.

Rolling her eyes Camila forces me up and says, "Your as clueless as ever."

Camila carried me on her back to our room like I was a wounded animal needing rescued. When in fact it was her fault I ended up with a twisted ankle.

My little sister kept profusely checking up on me. I kept reassuring her that I had a little fall and I was ok but the little tyrant wouldn't leave my side. Both my parents made sure I was okay to before leaving me with these two devious girls.

"It's ok Mav. I saved your sister like the wounded gazelle she is." Camila jokingly reassures my little sister who looked at Camila like she was a knight in shining armor.

Knight in shining armor my ass. Just when her and me was starting to get along, she had to go ruin it. That was what she was good at ruining.

Rolling my eyes I chose not to add a smart comment back in front of my little sister.

"Camila saved you just like a knight." My eight year old sister states in awe struck over Camila.

I didn't know how much more of this crap I could take. It was bad enough I had feelings for Camila I didn't want my little sister falling for such a devious girl too.

Speaking of devious girl I ask, "Maverick who was the little girl you was with?"

Apparently asking that question was embarrassing because Maverick round little cheeks started to turn a shade darker than what they were.

"Couldn't you recognize her?" Camila yet again interrupts causing me to send her a glare which didn't even bother her.

Waiting for a response form either two Maverick finally blurts out, "It's Reagan."

"Oh it's your best friend why didn't you just say so." I calmly say patting for Maverick to come sit next to me on the bed.

"Clueless." Camila repeats what she said earlier to me one again rolling her eyes. I hope she kept rolling them that they get stuck behind her head.

I wanted to ask my little sister why she was acting so weird but didn't really want to pry. Maverick herself seemed like she didn't want talk about whatever was bothering her too. Which was weird because she always shared things with me.

Sensing the tension Camila picks up my sister casually and places her outside our door.

"I want stay with Eve." The eight year old pouts stubborn as ever standing her ground against Camila Steele. The fact my little sister wasn't terrified of Camila made me chuckle which made Camila give me a raised eye brow in return.

"Okay but I heard that your mom wanted you to come see the big Christmas tree they put up in the lodge. Also I know how much you love sweets." Camila winks at Maverick whose emerald eyes was lite up like the Christmas lights at the mention of sweets.

"Bye sis! I hope you feel better soon!" The traitor blows me a kiss and closes the door. Which left only me bed ridden with a mischievous Camila who had a knowing smirk on her face and her eyes looked like they wanted to devour me.
