Fiona led us to a quite spot near the parking lot. A part of me felt guilty for ditching Axial. It wasn't like I had to stay and watch her though.

A group of teenagers were gathered around passing around a joint. Fiona approaches the guy that looked like he should've been out of high school ages ago and takes the joint.

He was at least six foot with a five o clock shadow and his brunette hair hanged down in his face. You could barely even make out his eyes.

"Evelyn meet Daniel, Daniel meet Evelyn." Fiona introduces me to this Daniel guy and he gives me a full toothy grin. Which wasn't creepy in the slightest.

"I'm happy to see Fiona with someone so gorgeous." Daniel eyes linger on me far too long for my liking.

"Hands off. She's with me." Fiona states passing the joint back to Daniel.

I thought Fiona was going take me somewhere to have some fun. I wasn't expecting this. I never smoked anything in my life before and I had no plans on starting now.

Giving Fiona a small smile I begin to walk away. Fiona was calling my name, but I didn't dare to look back. I wanted to get as far away from Daniel as possible he just gave me creep vibes.

"Evelyn, wait. Here I was thinking you wasn't athletic." Fiona says trying gain her breathing back. I didn't know if I should be offended by that comment or not.

"Somethings about me might surprise you." I sarcastically add crossing my arms.

"I already knew that." Fiona confesses standing directly in front of me now. She notices me shivering from the fall weather and takes off her flannel and drapes it around me.

The gesture was cute. I might of been little upset with her for making hang around a weird dude, but I could accept the flannel.

Her emerald eyes held an emotion I wasn't quite familiar with. Her warm fingers gently caresses my face which was cold.

Her touch alone was warming me up or maybe it was me being in close proximity of her.

Fiona leans in and plants a soft kiss on my lips. Kissing her was like kissing a soft pillow.
Not that I ever done that. Just like her it was soft.

"I can't believe I didn't do that sooner." Fiona says in awe breaking away from our kiss.

"Me either." I blurt out which causes me to turn a bright shade of red

Was I still pretending to be her girlfriend?

We arrived back to the stadium to see that Crescent High was in the lead by two points. It was the final quarter and the ball was in our possession.

Axial now changing positions was front and center. She navigates the ball across the field not letting one of the opposing team even grace the ball.

I couldn't help but watch in awe. It was like a ballerina gracefully dancing on a stage. Axial was beautiful to watch.

"You got a little something right there." Karin interrupts me and licks his finger and sticks it on side of my cheek like my grandma use to do.

"Karin!" I shriek trying to hide behind Fiona.

"Listen you had red lipstick smudge on your cheek." Karin points out gesturing towards Fiona, which causes her face to turn red.

"I guess you two managed to have some fun after all." My best friend adds smirking at me.

Fiona and I just sat there like two red faced tomatoes.

The crowd breaks out in cheer it was a close game. McNight High beat Crescent High by two points. Axial fist bumps the sky and her team swarms her and lifts her up in the air.

She was the center of attention but her eyes scanned the crowd in the bleachers until they found mine, making me feel like I was the center of her attention.

Arms wrapped around my shoulders which causes me to expect it was Fiona, but it was Karin instead.

"Come on, Fiona can't have all your attention." Karin fake whines then gestures to Axial whose eyes were still locked on me.

Fiona raises her head up from her phone looking between Karin and me. Her face laced with confusion.

It was probably for the best. I kick Karin in his shin causing him to yelp in pain.

Fiona's eyes travel through out the football field until they find Axial. Maybe she wasn't as oblivious as she seemed.

Axial's oceanic eyes drifted from mine to Fiona who just gave her a smirk than her eyes were back at me.

Fiona had a blank face. It was like she didn't know how to react to Axial. Trust me I have been there.

Her team mates finally managed to clear around her, giving her some space.

I wondered if she was going to approach me. My question was soon answered when she started making her way towards us.

Fiona held her composure like Axial was just another student. The closer Axial got the more clam like my hands felt.

It wasn't my usual nervousness I had when I was close to Axial. It was more like the sense of nervousness when you were about to get scolded by your mother for something you know you wasn't suppose to be doing.

Unlike the night of gala something about Axial seemed off. I was so focused on my own worries that I didn't even realize Axial was standing an inch away from me.

Her ponytail was fuzzed out from all the running she had done on the field and her royal blue jersey was soaked in sweat. Her blue eyes drifted to Fiona than back to me.

Right now I was thankful that Karin was in middle of Fiona and me. I was ashamed to be Fiona's fake girlfriend, but for some reason I didn't want Axial thinking we was really a couple.

"Congrats." Karin was the one to break the awkward silence.

"Thanks." Axial simply replies not evening sparing a glance at Karin. Her eyes were solely focused on me.

"What brings you over? Shouldn't you be celebrating with your groupies?" A snarky tone voice adds finally making Axial break eye contact with me and look at the fiery blonde.

A couple seats away from us, was Camila with an forest green jacket that looked way too big for her and she had her hair hanging loosely over her left shoulder. That wasn't the only thing hanging over her shoulder—a male who looked a bit older than Camila had his arm wrapped securely around her shoulder.

His icy blue eyes noticed me staring. He barely gave me a once over before stifling a yawn. His five o clock shadow matched his hair which was chest nut brown. That covered his face mostly.

I didn't know Camila had a thing for older guys. I figured she would have higher standards. Something about this guy just seemed off to me.

Anyways, how come whenever I was around one of them, all of them flock around me like I was a sheep and they were my sheep herder.

"Camila! Hey, it's been too long." Karin gives Camila a big toothy grin which earns a disgust look in return. I knew the feeling. I wasn't a big fan of this dude that was with Camila.

"Not long enough if you ask me." Camila sarcastically states back while brushing the guy she was with hand off her shoulder.

"I didn't know you were seeing her." Fiona finally speaks up to the guy who has been looking disinterested the whole time.

"You know him?" I ask slightly shocked. I rarely seen this outgoing side of Fiona.

Fiona just laughs and the guy who looked dejected a minute again laughs with her.

"Something you want to share?" Axial all but fumes. I didn't know if she was sticking around for me or if she was sticking around to see what the deal was with Camila and Fiona.

"Evelyn, we meet just a few minutes ago in the parking lot." The guy finally raises his hair and realization starts to kick in.

"You were the one-" I didn't get to finish my sentence because Mr. smooth guy abruptly cuts me off.

"I was the one who let you guys take a hit off my joint." Daniel gives me a knowingly smirk.

Axial looks between Daniel and me in disbelief. She didn't really buy a word this guy was saying was she? I never smoked before and now I don't know if I ever want to.

Fiona has a look of confusion, but doesn't volunteer to speak up and tell Daniel he's lying. Furrowing my eye brows together I look back at Camila who was for once not making eye contact with me.

Scoffing I quickly get up from the bleachers and try to leave.

Emphasis on try. A hand halted my arm. I look to see it was Karin who wanted me to stay where I was. A look of confliction seemed to pass in Axial, Camila, and Fiona's faces.

Which was weird because I have never seen them all at the same time share the same expressions before.

"Don't go." Karin pleads me with his eyes that's saying you better not leave me in middle of this awkward situation or I will have my revenge later.

"No. I think she should." Axial bitterly says sending a look of disappointment my way and a look of disgust at Daniel and Fiona.

"Agreed." Camila adds sending me an sympathetic look. Well who needed her or anyone else's sympathy I sure didn't.

I take one last look at Fiona who went right back to her phone pretending like nothing happened. That she literally didn't just kiss me five minutes ago.

Grabbing my hand Karin rushes me away from the three queen bees and Daniel. So much for the after party.
