Ivy POV

My eyes slowly fluttered open and I immediately glance at the clock sitting on the bed side table. I groan because no matter how comfortable I am laying on top of Emerald and wrapped in her arms, I know we had to get up for dinner. I gently tucked a stray string of hair behind her ear as I stared at her sleeping form. I couldn't help but think she looked more beautiful and peaceful while sleeping. Her facial features were so relaxed and there was just something so innocent about watching her sleep. It was like I was seeing her in a new light. She wasn't wearing any forced expression, no smile or frown, there was no mask at all. She was just her, totally relaxed, primal, peaceful and extremely beautiful.

Her beautiful brown eyes were hidden behind her eyelids, her face was relaxed, as her mouth was slightly ajar. Soft snores filled the air as I just admired her. There was something so innately attractive about this tranquil moment. Not able to resist the urge my heart warms as I gently place a tender kiss on her cheek and watch her subconscious reaction. She smiles as she tightens her grip around me. Soon her eyes flutter open and her beautiful voice fills the room.

'What time is it?' Emerald asked in a raspy voice that caused me to bite my bottom lip. I glanced at the clock and my eyes widened once I realized I spent nearly ten minutes watching Emerald sleep. '7:30,' I replied as I attempted to get up. Emerald arms immediately held me tighter. I smiled because clearly neither one of us wanted to move. "Do we have to go," Emerald asked as she ran her fingers through my hair. I sighed before replying, 'Yes, now come on lord knows we don't want to keep Blake waiting.' Emerald groaned before we both finally got up. We quickly freshened up and headed downstairs to the restaurant.

'Welcome to Le Noir, my I have your names please,' the hostess greets. I sent her a polite smile, 'Ivy Wright, or it might be under Blake Livingston we have a group of eight,' I replied as she checked her pad. 'Ivy Wright and Emerald Greene, your table for two awaits you,' she said. I furrowed my eyebrows before looking at Emerald. 'Did she say table for two??' I asked just to make sure I wasn't hearing things. Emerald nodded her head before shrugging her shoulders and grabbing my hand as we followed our waitress.

After entering the lounge area we were greeted by another host. She handed me an envelope before telling me she would be back to explain tonight's event. I glanced at the note and immediately recognized Blake's hand writing.

Ivy,
By now you should have realized we won't be joining you guys for dinner and if you haven't then let me tell you...we won't be coming. I want you to relax tonight with Emerald and enjoy your time together. Love ya and don't be too mad at me.

I smiled at the letter before handed it to Emerald. 'I guess it's just you and I tonight,' I said as the hostess finally rejoined us. She begins to explain the concept to us. Apparently, this was a dark restaurant, meaning we would be dinning in the dark. I honestly thought it was cute because this was always something I wanted to try. We were both told to hand over any item that generated light; which for us meant our cell phones. After our items were placed in a locker, we were guided to a room. Apparently we had to choose from four different cards that each represented a different meal course. White equaled surprise (which apparently meant exotic food), Red equaled Meat, Blue was for seafood, and lastly green for vegetarian.

'So what course will it be ladies,' the waiter asked. Emerald said she was feeling adventurous so she went with white, while I choose to stick with what I knew and went with Red. Soon we were engulfed in darkness as we were guided to what we could only assume to be the dinning area. We were helped to our seats as Daniel our waiter explained the layout of the table. 'I'll be back with your food shortly,' he replied as I could hear him filling up our cups. 'Your drinks are on your right' Daniel said as I could hear him walk of.

Emerald's POV

We have been sitting in the dark for about two minutes now and I'm guessing were both trying to adjust to the darkness. 'What are you think about,' I asked. She chuckled, 'honeslty I'm thinking how this is like our first time hanging out at such an intimate place and I can't even see your face,' she replied. I laughed because she was totally right. We normally either hung out as a group or hung out in a public place. 'We both should thank Blake then,' I sarcastically replied.

After about twenty minutes of talking about any and everything Daniel returned with our food. 'Enjoy your meals ladies,' Daniel said as my nose filled with various aromas that caused my mouth to water.

The first course was spent with idle chit chat as I failed miserably at trying to eat with a fork. Eventually, Ivy and I decided to use our hands and settle upon blind luck (no pun intended). 'O.M.G this taste like I literally just bit into a piece of heaven,' Ivy exclaimed as she moaned at the taste. I chuckled at her response before my mind eventually adjusted to my surroundings and I finally started to believe I was capable of sitting up and feeding myself rather than dropping what tasted like calamari all over me.

By the time we were midway into our second course we were dying of laughter as we tried our hardest to guess what we were eating. 'I know this taste...its.....its...shit, I lost it,' I said as I tried to find what I was previously eating. Ivy laughed at my outburst before she started rambling about, 'that's chicken, no wait teriyaki chicken,' she said as it sounded like her mouth was full of food. 'Let me try some of your exotic food,' Ivy asked. 'Uh sure,' I replied as I picked up something of my plate. I had no idea how we were going to do this so I just blindly reached across the table. 'Ouch that's my cheek Em,' Ivy said as I finally found her mouth. 'Mmmm, that's definitely scallops,' Ivy said as I immediately disagreed. 'Nope that's gotta be shrimp, it's not as soft as scallops,' I said as we finally finished our second course.

Soon desert was placed in front of us and it was relatively easy for both Ivy and I to guess it was strawberry cheesecake. 'That's was amazing,' I said as Daniel finally came back to led us out of the restaurant. 'So did you ladies enjoy yourself,' he asked as I rubbed my eyes trying to readjust to the new found lighting. 'Yes it was amazing, is it anyway we can find out what we actually ate tonight,' I asked as we were handed our phones back. He smiled before speaking, 'of course, I'll grab you both a list of your entire courses,' he said as he ran towards the kitchen.

'So did you enjoy yourself,' I asked Ivy. She smiled, 'this was like one of the best dates I've ever been own,' she said as a smirk appeared on my face. I stepped towards her, 'So this was a date huh?,' I asked. She looked down and began to play with her fingers before replying, 'I kinda been pretending it was but it's totally fine if it was just a friendly hang out.' I cut of her rambling by lifting her chin up forcing her to look at me, 'if I'm being honest I assumed it was a date too.' I watched as the biggest smile spread across her face before she spoke, 'who said our date has to be over now.' I was about to speak when Daniel came over. 'Here's a list of tonight's white and red menu just don't tell anyone I gave you that', he said as he ran off. 'I knew I tasted teriyaki, what about you' Ivy said as she glanced at me. 'Let's just say some of the things I ate tonight I would have never done if I knew what was on my plate,' I replied as I gaged at the list in front of me. 'Oh, come on it couldn't have been that bad, plus your the one who wanted to be adventurous,' Ivy said as we made our way outside.

'So where to next,' I asked. 'How about I take you to my favorite spot to visit,' she asked as she pulled my towards the front door. 'You might wanna bundle up its gets pretty cold where we're going,' she said as she zipped up her coat. 'Ivy, I from New York I'm kinda immune to the cold,' I replied as she playfully rolled her eyes. After about a twenty minute walk Ivy finally spoke, 'where here,' she said as we stood in the middle of a forest. I watched as she laid down on the ground and began to make an snow angel. I looked around and all I saw was trees, snow, and more trees and snow. I couldn't really phantom what made this such a special place to her and before I could stop myself I found myself asking, 'What makes this place so special.' She chuckled as she patted the ground next to her.

I took a seat and she smiled at me, 'your looking around for something special when you should be looking up,' she said. I furrowed my eyebrows as she pointed up to the sky. I followed her hand motion and the site before me was amazing. 'Wow,' was all I could say as I admired the multitude of stars twinkling above us. Being from New York I rarely got to see the stars and seeing them so bright right now made me realize what I was missing. 'It's beautiful isn't it, I found this place almost five years ago. I come here whenever I want to forget about my problems or when I just want to admire something beautiful,' she said as she laid back and stared at the stars.

Ivy's POV

Emerald and I both laid in the snow admiring the view. 'How did you find this place,' Emerald asked. I sat up before replying, 'it was about five years ago and Barbz had brought me to the resort. Now back then this was one of the only times my father actually took time off of work to be with me. Sadly that year after Barbz and I ate dinner we went up to our room and relaxed. I noticed it was getting later and later and eventually I asked Barbz where my dad was. Apparently she had already knew he wasn't coming and she just didn't know how to tell me. So being me I grabbed my coat and stormed out the room. I just left the hotel and kept walking and walking until I stumbled upon this place. I was extremely angry but once I looked out at the stars above me, for some reason I was instantly calmed. I don't know how to explain it but it was like staring up at the infinite universe made me feel small and it made all my problems seem like nothing. I don't know if that makes sense but every since then I have always visited this very spot whenever I'm in this part of town.'

She sat up and smiled at me, 'actually that makes perfect sense. I use to go hiking with my dad all the time and he would always go down this one trail that led to this little pond and I swear when the sun would shine on the pond, you could see every living thing swimming there. The water was so crystal clear. It was beautiful. He would always say, 'sometimes people forget to just stop, breath, and look around to admire something that's so natural and relaxing' So I honestly see why you love this place so much,' she said as she shivered a little. 'Is little miss 'I'm from New York' cold,' I asked as I wrapped my arms around her. 'It's nothing I can't handle and besides maybe I just wanted you to be closer to me,' she teased as she sent me her signature smirk.

I playfully rolled my eyes at her. 'Your the first person I've ever brought here,' I said as I rested my head on her shoulder. 'Really, not even Blake,' she asked with shock evident in her voice. 'Nope your the first. This has always been the place were I could be just Ivy. The goofy, sweet, artistic Ivy and nobody else. I guess it was easy to bring you here because that's who I am when I'm with you,' I replied as I stared into her eyes. 'Can I be honest with you right now,' Emerald asked as she placed her cold hand on my cheek. I nodded my head as I failed to speak. 'I really want to kiss you right now,' she said as she glanced towards my lips. I subconsciously licked my lips as I spoke, 'then why don't you kiss me already.' As soon as the words left my mouth Emerald's plump soft lips were pressed against mine. The kiss wasn't rough or rushed. In fact it was the complete opposite it was so soft and sweet as we both just enjoyed the feeling. Emerald ran her tongue over my bottom lip and I immediately granted her access. Our tongues explored each other's mouth as butterflies began to erupt in my stomach.

This kiss was just as soft and gentle as our kisses before yet it still felt different. It was like the world stopped for a second and all that was left was her and I. It was like all my sense were craving her. The touch of her lips on mine sent my body into a frenzy. Not to mention I could taste her watermelon chapstick with a hint of Syrah from the wine we shared earlier at dinner and that only caused me to want more. She pulled me closer and I was immediately engulfed in her familiar scent, lavender and brown sugar a weird paring but some how she managed to create a godly scent. Kissing her was like everything I remember but this time it was something there, something more and for some reason I couldn't figure out what it was. It was something so new, so foreign and it was a feeling I wanted to feel forever.

Eventually, we both pulled away from lack of oxygen. 'Wow,' was all I could say as I rested my head against her forehead. 'Wow indeed,' was her reply as she smiled at me. 'I missed that,' I said as she pulled me to my feet. 'Me too, but it's getting late maybe we should be heading back,' she said. I agreed and we held hands and made idle chit chat the entire walk back. We arrived back at the hotel and immediately got ready for bed. Emerald was kind enough to let me shower first. I did my normal hygiene routine and put on a pair of boy shorts and a t-shirt. I walked out the bathroom and Emerald eyes immediately scanned my body. I raised my eyebrow before asking, 'you like what you see?'

Emerald cheeks flushed pink as she grabbed her towel and clothes and headed to the bathroom. I chuckled and hopped in my bed as I began to scroll through my twitter account. About twenty minutes later Emerald strolled out in a Emison shirt and some basketball shorts. She began to walk over to her bed before I cleared my throat. 'Emerald Greene if you don't get your butt over here,' I said as she smiled and hopped in my bed. 'I didnt know of you wanted me over here,' she said as I immediately cuddled up to her and she wrapped her arms around me. 'Toady was a really good day,' she said as I drew small patterns on her stomach. I sighed before replying, 'it sure was.' I then lend up and kissed Emerald one more time before settle back down. 'Goodnight Em,' I said as a small yawn escaped my lips. 'Night Vy,' was the last thing I heard before sleep took over.
