Bliss

Everything that you had hoped for that night with Namjoon was 10x better than you ever could have imagined. The both of you shared your true feelings with each other, and you had some of the best sex you'd ever had.

Was there a word stronger than bliss? Euphoria? Nirvana?

Whatever the case, you were on top of the moon. Namjoon was officially yours and you were his. What else could there be to want?

You were snapped out of your daydreaming by a soft tapping on your desk. You jumped slightly to see Taehyung standing beside you, grinning.

"Did I interrupt something?" He said with a casual smirk.

"N-no sir. I'm sorry, I just got lost in my thoughts for a moment." You stammered, bowing your head slightly.

"Y/n, come on. I know that I'm technically your boss now, but we started at this company together. We've known each other for too long for such formalities."

You looked at him, hesitant.

Taehyung sighed quietly. "Okay, if you're gonna be this stubborn, it's an order. I'm ordering you to call me Taehyung from now on just like you used to."

"But-"

He held his hand up, cutting you off mid-sentence.

"No buts. I'm your boss so you have to follow orders." He gave you a quick wink.

You felt yourself blush as you smiled. You looked down at your desk before looking back up at him.

"Yes sir. Thank you Taehyung."

Taehyung's eyebrow twitched upwards at the sound of you saying his name. He liked it. He just wasn't sure what he was going to do about it yet. Ever since the awkward encounter with Namjoon on the FaceTime call, he figured he had to play it careful.

"Listen, I was wondering-"

Taehyung was interrupted by the sound of your cellphone ringing from within your purse. You looked at him with wide eyes, silently cursing yourself for not putting your phone on silent.

He looked at you with a soft smile. "It's okay, go ahead. I'll wait."

You knew if someone was calling you in the middle of a work day, it was most likely important. Everyone knew how seriously you took your job and wouldn't be stupid enough to call you on your personal phone if it wasn't urgent.

"Thank you so much. I'm so sorry." You bowed slightly out of habit.

Taehyung shook his head and let out a soft chuckle as you dug through your purse. "Cute."

You pulled out your phone to see Namjoon's picture lighting up your screen. What on earth could he be calling me about in the middle of the day?

You quickly stuffed your phone into your drawer after pushing the side button to silence it. You offered Taehyung an apologetic smile. "I'm sorry. You were saying?"

"Well, I-"

This time, the loud vibration of your phone within your desk drawer cut Taehyung off, yet again. He looked at you and giggled.

"I think you'd better answer. It seems important."

You pulled your phone back out to see Namjoon calling again. You figured it might be important so you decided to answer.

"Hello?"

"Didn't want to talk to me the first time I called?"

You hesitated, unsure of how to answer him.

"Of course I did. I'm just a little busy at work is all."

There was a brief pause on the other end of the call before Namjoon finally spoke again.

"I advise against ignoring my calls if you enjoy being able to walk."

His voice was suddenly so demanding that it made your stomach flip. He always knew exactly what to say to make you flustered at any given moment.

"Yes sir."

You looked up at Taehyung who was still waiting patiently for you to get off of the phone. He was flipping through a few papers on your desk, seemingly unaware of your conversation you were having.

Even still, you were trying not to let on that it was Namjoon who had awkwardly interrupted him. Again.

"Good girl."

You ignored his comment and quickly rerouted your conversation.

"I have to go, I'll call you when I get off work."

You didn't want to sound like you were rushing to get him off the phone, but you kind of were. You didn't want to be in trouble at work and personal calls were frowned upon.

"Okay baby, I'll talk to you later. I love you."

You hesitated. You couldn't just not say it back, but it would mean Taehyung would know who you were talking to. And you weren't sure which one would be worse to be in trouble with.

"I love you too." You tried to answer in a whispered tone.

You quickly hung up and stuffed your phone into the depths of your purse, hoping for no more interruptions.

"I'm so sorry Taehyung. That won't happen again. What did you want to talk to me about?" You gave him your undivided attention, hoping he hadn't figured out who you were talking to.

"Oh, it's nothing important." He paused briefly. "How's that boyfriend of yours?" He asked, never looking up from the papers in his hands.

You mentally facepalmed yourself. So he had heard you.

"Oh, he's..um..fine." You stammered.

You noticed Taehyung's jaw clenching and unclenching as if he was upset about something. You were afraid he was mad at you for being on your phone at work when it wasn't work-related.

"Listen, I'm so sorry. If I had known it wasn't an emergency, I wouldn't have answered." You began rambling.

"Y/n, really, it's fine. I promise. I'll leave you to the rest of your work for today." He gave you a wink and began walking away.

You sat there for a while, unsure of what to do. He was clearly upset about something but he wouldn't say it. And the last thing you needed was to lose your job right now.

You decided to go talk to him again before you left for the day. It wouldn't do your mind any good to try and go home with things the way they were.

You found Taehyung in his office standing near his desk, his back turned to you. He seemed to be focused on more paperwork that was on his desk. The door was cracked slightly so you decided to go on in, knocking lightly as you entered.

"Taehyung?"

He turned around, smiling instantly upon seeing you.

"Y/n. Is everything okay?" He gently laid the papers back on his desk before turning around and taking a few steps toward you.

"Well, I was hoping you could answer that for me. I could tell you were upset earlier and I just wanted to say again how sorry I am. I wouldn't have answered if-"

You were interrupted by Taehyung suddenly taking your face gently into his hands. You looked up at him in confusion.

"Taehyung, what are you-"

Instead of answering you, he gently placed his lips on yours. Your eyes widened in shock, your body unable to move.

He slowly pulled his soft lips away from yours, leaving your lips with a thin sheen from his vanilla flavored lip balm. He grinned, eyes still closed.

"Fuck, I've wanted to do that since the day I met you."

He leaned in, attempting to kiss you again, but you pushed him away harshly. You took a few steps back to put a bit of distance between the two of you.

"Taehyung, what the hell?! You can't just kiss me like that! I have a boyfriend and on top of that, you're my boss!" You yelled in a whispered tone to not draw attention from your fellow coworkers.

"I'm aware that you have a boyfriend. I'm not very happy about that." Taehyung took another step towards you. "But I want what he has."

You couldn't believe what you were hearing. Sure, you had noticed how attractive Taehyung was. I mean, who wouldn't? But you had no idea where all of this was coming from. Why was he showing such attraction towards you all of a sudden?

"I-I have to leave. It's time for me to go home anyways. I'll see you Monday." You stammered, backing out of his office quickly without letting him answer. You pulled the door closed and rushed back to your desk to gather your things.

You practically ran outside to your car, throwing all of your things inside and jumping in quickly. Your breathing was rapid. You felt like you were going to throw up. And then it hit you.

You had to tell Namjoon.
