"Momma, are you coming back with us now? Is your work done?" Yun asked, excitement clearly visible in his eyes as he straddled your lap still still cuddled in your arms.

You looked down to his big does eyes that stared back at you shining with hope, it crushed your heart that to say that-

"No baby, Not yet but promise I will come back soon" The wide smile was instantly replaced by a pout, in a sec you could see his whole face losing it's light. "Baby don't be sad okay? Or it will be hard for mommy to leave you" You softly pecked his cheeks.

Like the good boy he was, he instantly hugged you pecking your nose." No no I am not sad, I am happy I know Mommy works hard for yun"

You could clearly see he was forcing a smile, he was a 5 year old kid. The fact that he was so understanding and was trying to hide his pain and sadness of being away from his mother so just that she doesn't feel guilty made you even more guilty.

You glanced at Lilly who was driving. She also gave Yun a look of pity because there was nothing else she could do. She didn't just feel bad for Yun but also for you, because she has seen you struggling with everything better than anyone else . Being a single mother at 24 when you have no proper education, no college, no degree, no stable job.

But still working so hard, spending 15 hrs a day doing any job you could get, handling a kid struggling with your expenses all alone. She was proud of you and of the things you were doing.

"So where should we go first? Let's buy him food first, even I feel hungry." You said to Lilly still talking to Yun who was blabbering about everything he had done today. Lilly hummed in response.

"maam said I am such a smart kid! I recited the countings you taught me and no one else in class could" He excitedly clapped his hands smiling.

"Ofc! My baby is the smartest! Did she teach something new ?" You asked and he again began telling you about the words his teacher taught him to write and also the numbers from 10-20 which you hadn't before.

Being illiterate, having no proper job made you realise the importance of education better than anyone else. You always paid attention to Yun's studies, although he was just 5, there wasn't much but still you made sure that he enjoyed studying . And he was actually a really smart kid for his age, you always taught him ahead of his classes and not once did he complain. School was the only thing Lilly paid for, in what you earnt you would never be able to send him to a good school so Lilly volunteered his education, you couldn't decline. As much as you didn't want any more favours from her, Yun's education was something you couldn't compromise with.

"Okk So one burger for Yun and Y/n, What about you Jess?" Lilly asked who was standing as she was about to order.

"Uhmm I will have a pizza? Me and Yun can share. He really likes it" Yun nodded happily at the mention of his favourite food.

'okk then" Lilly turned and left while the three of you sat enjoying your drinks.

"Aaaaaaa" Yun held his piece of pizza in front of your mouth just like you did when you fed him. You opened your mouth taking a bite making him squeal in happiness.

"I fed you Momma, just like you do seee" He chimed. You nodded smiling fondly at the small human who meant the world to you.

"Ayy I also want! This is not fair!!" Jess huffed from the other side of the table.

"No You have yours, I will only feed Momma " Yun smiled cheekily.

"Haahhh! this is so unfair, I always feed you na? So I should also get to eat from your hand" Jess pouted making a sad face.

Yun looked between You and Jess, he just wanted to only feed his Mumma, he wanted to show her all his love in the short time she was with him. He was doing things he could , hugging her and showering her kisses, something he knew his momma loved, his momma loved his tiny kisses. He just wanted to feed his Momma but then seeing Jess's sad face made him sad too. He often spent time at Lily's house when you worked so he already had a bond with everyone.

But during these 2 months the person he spent most time with was Jess, from food to school, from dressing to giving bath, she took care of him completely. Lilly was ofc busy with her hospital and even her mom worked with her dad . Jess did not do it just because she had to, she genuinely loved Yun, everyone did. She was the one who volunteered to take care of him while you were to leave for 0 months. Jess might have just asked him to feed as a Joke but for the small child it was really conflicting.

On one hand he wanted to show his all love to his Momma today but on the other hand he didn't want to upset Jess too, he really liked her.

"Okay I will just once, but not more. Today I just want to love Mommy because she will go again" He whispered in a small voice.

Jess' eyes widened hearing his words, she hadn't expected him to think this deep.

On the other hand you already had tears in your eyes, you felt a grip on your shoulder. It was Lilly who gave you a soft look. Now that he had given a bite to Jess to, it was hard

You turned blinking your tears away before they could fall.

The rest of the lunch went fine, Yun kept feeding you every now and then. You never left him from your arms, you didn't want to. You wanted to keep him as close as possible for the time you can.

"Am I doing the right thing Lilly? Aren't I doing wrong to Yun?" You tried your best to not cry fondly admiring the little soul who was chasing Jess playing Tag.

"No love, don't think like that. Everything you are doing is for him . You have taken such a huge step, doing something most of us can never gather courage to even think about . All for Yun. How are you doing anything wrong to him? "

"But when I look at him, I can sense his pain. No matter how brave he acts, he is just a 5 year old child, he can't hide his feelings. Don't get me wrong Lily, I know you guys do way much more than I ever can, he is getting healthy nutrious meals, all those cute toys such huge house to play around, I can't deny that he is living much better life with you but...but I can't help feel guilty when he tries to smile even though I can easily see how wet his eyes are everytime we are about to end our call. It...it pains me Lilly." You broke down into a small inaudible sob so that Yun doesn't notice.

"Babe you can't think like that, despite his young age he is very mature and smart. He does appreciate everything we do, I can't deny that. He is very patient and obedient like any other child. He also loves all the toys and stuff we give him, and he never fails to show how grateful he is. But nothing made him as content as he was with you. Yn , your bond with him is something so special and beautiful, you both add complete each other. Both of you are like an inseparable duo. I can't deny that he is sometimes upset and misses you terribly but he knows it's all for him. He never complains about it. This is inevitable Yn. you living away from him it's impossible for him to be completely happy. He feels the emptiness just like you do but that doesn't make you wrong in any way. In my eyes you will always be an inspiration as a mother. "

She softly wiped your tears pecking your forehead.

"Don't be sad or guilty my love. You are doing the best you can for Yun and he knows and appreciates it. Now he wouldn't want his lovely mommy to cry right? Cheer up he can come anytime, he has been away from you for long already'

You nodded, wiping your tears a smile instantly formed on your lips when you saw him on top of Jess tickling her non-stop.

"Sorry mommy Promise Yun will now never disobey you . See, I ate breakfast ." Yun tried to gain your attention but you ignored him pretending to read the book but actually he had your 100% attention. You were carefully watching his attempts to apologise. He refused to have breakfast today because he didn't like broccoli so you were giving him a silent treatment. "Mommy see my bowl I have finished" He pouted, swinging the empty bowl but you didn't buzz. "If you don't talk then ---" He climbed on top of you with a mischievous grin but you still ignored. "Tick tick tick tick" He slowly slid his tiny fingers from your waist to your neck before bringing them down again. Next moment the book fell down on the mattress as you burst into fits of laughter. "yunn..Stop..p..please.." You pleaded in between your giggles. "No! not until you promise you are not angry anymore."

Just at that moment he turned and only to find you already staring at him. You waved him a little hi and he came running and literally jumped into your arms.

"I missed Mommy" He mumbled against your chest.

"I misses by baby too"
