Being in this line of business was dangerous, especially now that a knew killer had surfaced.

Y/N, another letter came for you. My partner officer Fisher waved the letter in the air, I leaned over grabbing the it opening the letter reading it out loud.

"More and more pile up and yet you can't seem to bring me down, when will you learn I am untouchable". I rolled my eyes all people who did this believed they were untouchable.

Unknown POV

Silly girl, she has no idea what's going to happen next, And as for the partner he needs to be careful loving in this line of business is dangerous.

Y/N's POV

Months later and the letters are still coming in and we aren't any closer to solving this case, Jeremiah has suggested we go for a coffee at the local Cafe.

I order a coffee no milk I needed the caffeine to remain awake. The bags under my eyes were so noticeable even the light makeup I applied stopped working.

"When, was the last time you slept" Jeremiah asked. His face looked better then mine did and he wasn't drinking a coffee.

I rubbed my eyes, "I haven't slept for a while" I answered honestly.

"This case has been wearing me down nonstop and the boss has been nagging me nonstop to figure out who this is crazed person is and if I don't I will loose my job". After the word vomit I burst out tears from all the stress and pressure.

Y/N shared the pressure she felt from this job and in all honesty I was surprised I had that she was unshakable and she was the best in this line of work and she had completed every case that had ever been given to her.

So to see her so emotionally drained was a surprise it made me feel bad I wasn't nearly under as much pressure as she was.

I quickly grabbed the napkins that came with her drink, and handed them to her so she could dry the tears that had fallen down her face.

She quickly grabbed them dabbing her face.

"I didn't know how much pressure they really put on you", I blurted out. She looked shocked that I even said that to her.

Y/N's POV

I was shocked that someone had said that to me.

"Yeah, well doesn't matter I decided this life when I wanted to become best in my field of work".

Why did you feel that you had to be the best.

I laughed trying to make his attention go from why I had to be, but his attention didn't shift instead he looked for a reply.

"Hmmm, I had strict parents who always wanted a son but when I was born they weren't impressed so as I got older I made it my life's mission to be the best at everything. But one day what they thought just didn't matter to me anymore".

"Anyway what's your life story", I asked.

He took a minute before deciding wither or not he wanted to answer my question.

"I grew up the youngest went to college jumped from different degrees until I decided that I wanted to join the police force and have  doing this ever since.

"That's sound interesting, how did your parents take it".

"Well my mum passed away and my dad was proud when he learnt I was in the process of joining the police force".

"Well I am sorry to hear about your mum, I bet she was lovely". I told him

"Yeah she was", he appeared to have gone into a deep thought.

We spent the whole night talking away.
