"The wolf" she spoke.

Y/N quickly following the others I saw my friends we paced headed towards the group of people.

Their stood my parents, and Lucy my sister.

"Lucy", I dropped down crying out her name.

I sat at our home my sister prepared for her burial I was finishing her hair when their was a knock on the door in came Steven's mother and her two children.

"Hello Steven", Taylor said.

"Taylor", he greeted her. Handing my mother a candle and his mother spoke.

"We are very sorry for your loss".

Madam Conklin handed my mother a metal pot to which she sat down on the flame, I feel his eyes on me I quickly left. Soon I see my mother coming up the stairs.

She sits down, "he's your fiance now, he's come to offer his condolences.

"But I barely know him"

"Maybe to meet a boy", answered Katrina.

"My Lucy never thought about boys", mother chimed in her tone defensive.

"She certainly followed my son around like a lost puppy."Madame Conklin answered.

"Maybe she couldn't bear the thought of living life without him, when she found out he was to be engaged to her sister."

"How Romantic".

"Taylor", mother hissed.

I felt hands touch my face, wiping my tears.

"Don't worry dear Steven always had his eyes on you, your the pretty one". Madame Conklin spoke.

In the tavern the men drinking began to shout and argue about hunting the wolf. To which the priest argued we should wait for father solemn.

I grabbed my coat and head towards the door, placing in on I quickly worked towards the tavern hearing a second step of footsteps causing the snow to crunch I quicked my steps now also running I slammed the tavern doors open the men's noise stopped instantly.

And in the their next breath I heard them mention Isabella calling her a stowaway. I turned pulling her closer to me she looked grateful.

As the men continued to debate about hunting the wolf my father spoke.

"If we wait for Father Solemn, he will rob us of our vengeance". From that statement the men began to hastily leave one by one.

I made my out to, I had to find Jeremiah I hid in the shadows waiting I saw him walk pass I pulled him into the shadows with me kissing him, he pulled back.

"We can't do this anymore"

What, why. I was hurt and confused.

"Your engaged". He spoke as if we're a matter of fact.

"Hardly, I don't love him".

"That isn't the point, you have a life planned with him I not going to let you ruin it". And with that he walked away.

Steven POV

I was sure she hadn't seen me to know I watched the last of their argument. I walked towards her snow crunching under my feet the weight of the engagement gift hanging in my pocket.

She turned her eyes displayed confusion and hurt, to which she tired to cover but I had already seen it and decided that those features didn't belong on her face.

We begin to speak,

"Please be careful", she spoke her voice gentle.

She went to turn but I grabbed her arm gently turning her back towards me. She faced me confused.

"You, will be happy again". With that I grabbed the engagement present from my pocket and placed into onto her wrist and left walking past Jeremiah.

The man made their way to the cave, the girl following them unnoticed. Waiting for one of the men was his mother.

Y/N father seperated from the group walking towards the woman.

"Be careful my son, the wolf is wild and will take who ever it decides".

"I know mother, the wolf doesn't want me".

With those words she watched her son and the men continue their journey to the cave.

"Grandmother".

The girl walked out from the trees. Running Into her grandmother's arms.

Later on inside her grandmother home she sat feeling only sadness.

"I remember the first time the wolf attacked it tore apart whole families".

"How did it stop", she asked.

Her grandmother still stirring the pot of stew.

"We left the wolf animals".

Her grandmother grabbed a bowl stirring the stew she scooped some into the bowl and turned to her

granddaughter and handed her the bowl turning away she tore some bread.

"I remember what my grandmother used to say to me, all sorrows are blessed with bread".

Her granddaughter repeating the phase.

Y/N POV

Placing my bowl down continuing to play the small instrument. My grandmother walking to her room she came back down holding the most beautiful cloak I had Ever seen.

I stood up turning around she helped me put it on I gently touched the red
Fabric I had never seen such a beautiful item of clothing.

"I was making it for your wedding".

"It doesn't feel like a wedding it feels like Im being sold", After she confess sleep took over her.

BANG BANG Bang, Y/N half awake looked around the room, In her half asleep daze she saw the door shake violently then stopped.

BANG BANG BANG this time saw the dust from the roof fall on to the ground the noise was gone and so she slipped back into dream world.

Two girls running through the wood's, laughing, picking flowers and turning them Into a paste to apply to their lips.

Mount grimmore the men had arrived.

In the entrance of the cave the men argued more specifically steven explained they should in a group but the other men agreed with Jeremiah who decided catching the wolf would be easier if they separated so they did.

Some went left other's went right. Jeremiah and Steven went opposite ways Steven with his dad and Jeremiah with the other men.

"Arrrrrgh", a yell followed up by a growl and a tearing noise.

An older gentle men ran towards the noise finding the wolf, pulling his dagger out he removed the beast head.
