Scott stood, looking out the window of his penthouse. He was lost in his own world as he held a glass of whisky.

"What are your plans now?" Chad asked from the end of the room.

Scott sniffed, wiping a hand under his nose before turning to Chad. "I don't... I don't know." He shrugged, closing his eyes for a moment as he sipped from the glass.

He had checked the three paternity test results and they had all come in positive. Amanda was three months pregnant for him.

"I guess Amanda was really telling the truth. She is carrying your baby." Chad said, stating the obvious truth.

Scott felt numb. He hoped he was only having a nightmare and he'd wake up the next day feeling better.

"In my opinion mate, you should do what's right. It would not be fair to Anna if you kept something huge like this away from her. She'll be hurt." Chad said to him.

"I'm about to lose my mind here." He rubbed his forehead before settling the glass on a side table. "I just got Anna back, I can't lose her again I just can't."

"Maybe if you talk to her and let her see reasons she might understand." Chad tried to reason out with him.

"She's gonna leave me again, I bet my life on it." He turned to Chad. "If I could talk to Amanda and probably pay her off she could leave my life forever." Scott suggested to him.

"500 million?" Amanda looked at the cheque in her hand.

Scott had asked Amanda to meet him at an exclusive restaurant location, where they were going to talk.

"It's enough for you to..." He stopped talking when Amanda tore the cheque to shreds in front of him.

"500 million isn't enough. Do you think I'm cheap? I'm worth more than that amount Scott." Amanda scoffed at him.

He opened his cheque book. "Name your price. 1 billion? 5 billion? 10 billion? Half of my inheritance?" Scott's anger grew by the second as he clenched the pen in his hand.

"Oh wow, is that how desperate you want me out of your life? Offering half your fortune?" Amanda laughed heartily. "Isn't this fun?"

"Amanda," he looked up at her. "I'm trying to satisfy your greedy ass here okay. So now name your price." He said between his teeth.

"Well my price can't be named and you can't buy me Scott Ontario." She sneered at him. "I'm way past that level. When I know how much this baby I'm carrying is worth more than anything, so why should I sell that privilege to you." She chuckled evily. "The heavens are on my side on this one Scott, and there's nothing you can do about it."

"Why are you doing this?" Scott frowned at her. "Why don't you just take the money and leave, huh?"

"Not after I make you suffer for everything you did to me." Amanda smiled, loving the desperate look on his face. "Till then, you can shove your money up your balls."

She made a thinking face. "I wonder how the world feels about me, having your baby too? I can't wait to tell them. Oh!" She smirked at him. "How's Anna by the way? I haven't seen her since.... Ages. It'd be fun for a little catch up, don't you think?" She teased him. "We're both baby mamas after all."

"Keep Anna out of this." He warned her.

"Why should I? Soon or later she'd be brought into this." Amanda shrugged looking around the place. "Wow, this place is too fancy. Aren't you ordering?" She didn't care for his answer. "Well I am ordering." She smiled, tossing her hair away from her face.

Isla walked hand in hand with Scott, they were heading into the elevator.

"Good morning Mr Ontario." Betty greeted, pressing the elevator button. "Hey Isla, it's finally nice to meet you." She gave Isla a smile and a wave.

"Daddy who is she?" Isla asked walking into the elevator with Scott.

"My assistant. Miss Betty." Scott answered, pulling Isla closer to him.

"Hi Miss Betty, it's nice to meet you." Isla said, smiling up at Betty.

"Nice to meet you too, Isla. Mr Ontario has said a lot of things about you." Betty said to her.

Scott chuckled lightly... "There's no need to gain her favor Betty." Scott knew that Betty was trying to be on Isla's good side.

"Remember all the ice creams you promised to get me okay?" She reminded her father.

"Sure sweetie." He nodded, stroking the top of her head.

"Sir, the chairman is with the shareholders, they are having a meeting." Betty told him.

"Is Amanda with them too?" Scott asked her.

Betty cleared her throat. "About Miss Chester, she's presently absent in the meeting but her assistant is there. Miss Chester is waiting for you in your office." She told Scott.

Scott turned to Betty. "You should not have let that bit..." He trailed off from saying a foul language in front of his daughter. "That woman into my office, I thought I made myself clear."

"She would have made a scene. The Chairman wouldn't have liked that." Betty said, clutching the files in her hands.

The elevator door opened and the three of them stepped out.

"Take my daughter to the lounge, I don't want her seeing Amanda." Scott said giving Isla's hand to Betty.

"Daddy, where are you going?" Isla looked up at her father.

"Go with Betty, daddy will join you sooner." Scott managed to smile, caressing Isla's face.

    "But daddy I —"

"Touch and take anything you want. Break whatever, I don't mind baby girl." He said bending over to plant a kiss on the top of her head. "Just don't go near the windows, alright?" He said, smiling widely at his daughter who nodded. "God, you just keep looking like me everyday, my baby is just too pretty. I bet all the boys will go crazy as you grow older." Scott chuckled lightly. "And I'll butcher any idiot who thinks he is worthy of my princess." He said slightly frowning at the thought of Isla growing.

"What are you saying? What idiots?" Isla gave her dad a weird look.

"Never mind baby girl." He laughed, ruffling Isla's hair. "Give me a minute or two." He stood erect, turning towards his office.

"Come on Isla." Betty smiled at the girl before strolling away with her.

Scott took in a deep breath before taking long strides towards his office. As soon as he got to the door of his office, he swung open the door. Amanda who was standing close to a painting she was admiring, turned to look at him.

"Amanda." Scott said, walking into the place.

   "Hi Scott I —"

Scott interrupted her. "It's Mr Ontario to you. You address me with the necessary formality." His voice deepened as he talked.

"Well.. Mr Ontario." Amanda scoffed, tossing her hair. "I have the designs for our new collection. I wanted you to have it."

Scott pinched the bridge of his nose, slightly bowing his hand while he closed his eyes. "You could have just given your assistant to bring it here." He finally looked up at her. "You're supposed to be at the meeting with the shareholders, what the fuck is wrong with you huh? I don't want to see you in my office again." Scott said, moving towards his seat.

She folded her arms over her chest. "I will do as I please."

"Okay, drop the designs and leave." Scott said leaning back against his chair.

Amanda placed the files on the table. "I was thinking of going to meet your mom. She seems like a wiser person, she'll understand me."

"What is it you want Amanda? You already rejected my money and—"

"Stop! Stop it Scott! You gave me the money because you want me to disappear with your child! I can't let you be happy while I become miserable." Amanda glared at him. "You hurt me! So I have to hurt you back! And this baby we're having together is the only way you're forever tied to me. And that alone... Hurts you."

Scott ran his hand down his hair. "For heaven sake Amanda, what do you want? I have acknowledged the baby, I don't care if I have to put you on child support for the rest of my life. All I ask, is for you to leave. I swear, I'll take care of you... And.. Your baby."

Amanda laughed bitterly. "Okay so now it's my baby? My BABY?!" Her temper flared. "You know, the only thing keeping me from not publicly disclosing everything is because I want to keep haunting you. But now, my patience is over and I will make sure the whole world finds out about this."

"And what do you gain?!" He yelled at her.

"Your tears! I want you see you crush and crumble when that fucking stealer you call a girlfriend finds out about us." Amanda laughed evilly. "Oh Scott, this is going to be so much fun."

"Catch me!" Isla ran out of the lounge, giggling and laughing.

"Isla!" Betty shouted in horror, running after the girl. "Please... Oh no, please come back." Betty couldn't keep up as her seven inched heels prevented her.

Isla kept running noisily, "you can't catch me, nye, nye, nye, nye, nye, nye." She said in a sing song voice as she ran down the hall way.

"No wait! God Mr Ontario will kill me. Isla wait don't..." Betty kept chasing the six year old. "No, no, no, no, not there, Isabelle!!" Betty gasped, her hands reaching out to Isla as she tried stopping Isla from entering into the board room.

Isla raced for the door at the end of the hallway, bursting into the board room with a loud scream. She loses her balance and falls to the ground.

"Ah Mommy!" She exclaimed, breaking her fall with her hands.

The meeting had abruptly halted at Isla's noisy entrance. Pair of eyes from different angles of the room, stared at her. Just immediately, Betty rushed in horrified and mortified.

"Dear God." Betty whispered to herself knowing her job was hanging by the thread. "I am so sorry sir." She bowed her head in shame, lacing her fingers together. "It's my fault Sir." She slowly looked up at the people gathered around the table. Her eyes landed on Ethan Ontario who was seated at the head of the table, looking down at Isla who was on the floor.

"Aren't you going to help her up?" Ethan raised a brow at Betty.

"Yes of course." Betty hurriedly helped Isla back on her feet. "A-are you hurt?" She stammered nervously.

Isla shook her head before turning to her grandfather. "Good afternoon grandpa." She gave him a small wave.

Ethan finally chuckled, reducing the tension in the room. "My dear come." He gestured for Isla to come to him.

Isla walked up to him slowly. "I'm really sorry for interrupting your meeting. It wasn't Betty's fault too." She said to him.

Ethan smiled, lifting her onto his lap. "Everyone, meet my lovely granddaughter. Isabelle."

"Grandpa do you have a pencil, I want to draw." Isla looked at the papers on the table.

Ethan gave Betty a look signifying her to get a pencil.

"Yes of course." Betty pulled out a pencil immediately from her pocket, going to give Isla.

"Mr Ontario, should we adjourn the meeting?" One of the shareholders asked him.

"For what? Keep talking, I'm listening." Ethan told them without glancing at them, rather more focused on Isla as she kept doing her thing.

The Ontarios had invited Anna and her family for dinner. So they were present at the family mansion.

"Hold on, before we head to the dinning room there's something I wanna ask you." Scott stopped Anna halfway when they got to a hallway.

"Yeah?" Anna turned to him, waiting for him to speak.

"I know you'd say it's too early and we only just got together but.... Anna I love you." Scott helped her tuck her hair behind her ear.

Anna chuckled. "I know. I love you too, okay?"

"How much?" He pulled her closer, wrapping an arm around her waist.

    "A lot." She admitted.

"I can't live without you in my life Anna. I love you that sometimes it makes me go insane." Scott stared into her eyes soulfully.

Anna shook her head slowly and chuckled. "What's with you? Lately, you've been weird... Acting weird." She placed her hand on his arm. "Are you okay?" She squinted at him with a smirk.

"Yeah, I am. I just... I just..." He clicked his tongue. "I just wanna keep reminding you of how much I love you. I love you."

"Darling I know, okay?" Anna laughed. "I love you too, very very much." She gave him a quick kiss on the lips.

"Then why don't you wanna marry me Anna?" Scott asked, sounding desperate.

Anna pulled away from him. "Marriage is a big step, I don't think we're ready for it."

"I know but... But we love each other." Scott tried to reason out with her.

"Love isn't the only base for marriage." Anna couldn't understand why he wanted to get married do quickly.

"I know, there's trust, understanding, loyalty, commitment..." He counted with his fingers. "We'll make it work, I promise. Tell me, just tell me, I will do it. Just... Say yes."

"Why do you wanna get married so bad? We're both in a good place right now and we don't need marriage... At all.' Anna shrugged at him.

Of course Scott couldn't tell her that the main reason why he wanted to get married was because that was the only way he could get assurance that Anna was never going to leave him. He knew Anna believed in the sacredness of marriage and divorce wasn't an option for her.

"Why don't you think about it huh? Isabelle would loved that. I'm only thinking about her wellbeing. Sweetheart, just like you said we're in a good place so this is the perfect time to get married. I don't care, big, small wedding, intimate and private. Whatever you want I'll make it happen." Scott told her.

"I-I don't know Scott. I think we..." Anna placed her hand on her forehead.

"You don't have to say yes right away only promise you'd think about it, please baby, please?" He gave her a cute begging face, taking her hands in his.

She smiled, placing a kiss on his cheek. "I'll think about it."

Scott grinned. "Thank you. God I love you so much! Come here!" He grabbed her by the waist, lifting her up before twirling her around.

"Scott!" Anna laughed heartily. She was happy since he was happy. His happiness was all that mattered to her.
