Scott's eyes lit with mirth, he was amused.

Anna watched Scott and Isla for some seconds, to her, it seemed like they were bonding which was not good.

"Mr Ontario!" Anna had to snap him back to earth.

Scott ignored her, still looking at the girl. "What's your name?" He asked with a wide smile.

"Isla-Isabelle Estephania Corazon Maria-Angelus Windsor." Isla smiled back at him.

"Wow, that's so much for a name. I'm Scott." Scott chuckled. He then turned to Anna. "Is she yours?" He suddenly became curious.

"She is." Anna kept a straight face before turning to her daughter. "Peaches, what did I say about strangers?" She frowned.

Isla frowned back at her. "Not to talk to them?"

"Whoa, stranger? Anna that's not a nice word to call me." He gave Anna a look before turning to Isla. "I'm your mom's friend, her best friend." He said with a smile.

"Really? But Naraya is her best friend." Isla scrunched up her nose.

"We used to be best friends." Scott told her, giving Anna a glance.

"Okay that's it. Isla to your room now, and you," she turned to Scott. "You have overstayed your welcome, I want you to leave." Anna said to him with a serious tone.

Isla shrugged at Scott, turning back to climb. "It was nice talking to you Scott." She said while climbing up.

"How old is Isabelle?" Scott questioned her, now looking serious.

Anna rolled her eyes, going to open the entrance door. "Mr Ontario, if I find out you are stalking me, I won't hesitate to place a restraining order against you." She said flinging her door open. "Now, for the last time, get out."

Scott walked towards the door, but as soon as he got to Anna, he grabbed her wrist. "You're not married, are you?" He said looking at her fingers.

"That's none of your business." She pulled away from his grip.

Scott looked away from her for some seconds as if he was thinking then he narrowed his eyes at her. "Why are you nervous? Relax, I like you too much to hurt you." He smirked at her. "I'll see you around then Anna." Scott winked at her before leaving.

Anna slammed the door immediately, quickly locking it. If she wasn't careful, she was going to pass out as her heart kept racing. So many questions filled her head. How did he find her? Why was he cool when he talked? Why was he suddenly acting confident?

"I-Isla!" Anna ran up the stairs to meet up with her daughter.

💖💖💖💖

Scott settled in the house he had gotten two days ago. It wasn't as luxurious as the Ontario Mansion or how pad because it was an old house from the Victorian era. Indeed old. Just as he thought, his plan worked, Anna had picked up his call and he was able to trace her. Speaking of Anna, Scott couldn't help but chuckle whenever her image popped into his head.

Isabelle. Scott thought for a second. She had a daughter? The girl was really familiar but knew he couldn't have seen her from somewhere. But where? He was sure Anna wasn't married because back at her resturant in U.S, she was addressed by Miss not Mrs. Then if she wasn't married, how on earth did she have a kid? Was it possible that Isabelle was adopted? He doubted.

He looked around his room and sighed. He needed answers and he was gonna get them. He glanced at his watch waiting for the perfect time to leave. He had ordered an apple pie, and a very expensive champagne. He made sure he took his bath, and changed into something a lot more casual. He was going over to Anna's place.

Scott rang the doorbell that evening with the apple pie and champagne in his hands. Soon someone opened the door, it was Syla.

"Oh hi!" Scott smiled at her. "I'm the new neighbor from across."

Syla looked at him from up to down. "You are?"

"I don't want to be a bother, I wanted to say hi and give you this." He held out the apple pie and champagne out. "It's a gift from the heart."

"Oh my, thank you." Syla smiled back at him, receiving the gift. "It's really kind of you."

"I'm Scott, Scott Ontario by the way." Scott stretched his hand out for a shake.

Syla's eyes widened in shock. She stared, perplexed. "You're... You're Scott?" She asked him and he grinned. "Did you say you live across the street?"

"Yes ma'am." Scott nodded, giving Syla a brief shake.

Syla looked across the house opposite. "It would need a lot a cleaning you know."

He nodded... "Yeah." He scratched the back of his head.

"You know, why don't you come in and have dinner with me and my family."

Scott blushed. "No," he chuckled. "I don't want to —"

"Oh don't be shy. It's the least I can do for your gift, isn't it the more the merrier?" Syla smiled at him.

"Sure, if you insist." Scott smiled sheepishly. His plan had actually worked.

"Well come in Scott." Syla left the door wide open allowing him to come in. "I'm Syla by the way." She said as she closed the door as soon as Scott got in.

Scott nodded looking around the house. "Let me help you with that." He offered, taking the apple pie and champagne from her.

"Such a gentleman, thank you." Syla smiled.

"Your house is beautiful." Scott commented, closely following Syla from behind.

"Thank you. My niece is the one behind the interior design. That's right, I stay here with my niece and my granddaughter." Syla said, leading him to the dinning room.

Scott looked at all the delicious meals set on the table.

"Wow, I love your table." Scott had to say.

"My niece is a great cook too, although she's a pastry chef." Syla told him. "Please, have your seat." She gestured him to a seat.

"Thank you ma'am." He said taking a seat.

"No please, you make me look old. Call me Syla." Syla told him with a smile. Before she could say anything, Isla ran into the dinning room. "Isla." Syla looked at Isla. "This is my granddaughter." Syla said proudly.

"It's you again." Isla grinned at him, taking a seat beside him.

"You've met?" Syla looked at her granddaughter.

"He came by this afternoon." Isla told Syla.

    "Hmmm." Syla nodded slowly.

"He says he's mommy's best friend but mommy said it's not true." Isla told Syla. "Mommy says you're a liar." She said after turning to Scott.

Scott raised his brows in surprise. "What? She said that?" Isla nodded. "What else did she say?" Scott smiled at the girl.

"She said I should never talk to you, like ever." Isla giggled. "So I'm not going to."

Syla watched the both of them closely as they exchanged conversation. She soon saw the undenying resemblance between both of them. Her thoughts were interrupted when she hears Anna.

"Oooh, I didn't know we have a visi-" she paused mid sentence when she saw Scott. "-tor." She completed her sentence, as her expression suddenly faded.

"Mommy, Scott's having dinner with us." Isla informed her.

"I can see that." She crossed her arms over her chest.

Scott smiled at her. He could not help but check her out. She was wearing a silky silver short night dress, fitting her curves, her hair was damp as it cascaded down her back, her face was bright and fair as she had just had her bath and her luscious lips were literally begging to be kissed, her firm, round breast stood as he could see the top fleshy part. He suddenly had a hard on. She was turning him so damn on.

"I invited him in." Syla announced to her.

"Isla, come sit beside me." Anna didn't take her eyes off Scott.

"But mommy..." Isla pouted at Anna.

Anna looked at Isla. "I mean it." Anna wagged a finger at Isla. Isla lazily pulled the chair back making noises before standing to go sit with Anna who took a seat at the other end of the table.

"You know aunt, you can't just invite random people in. What if they are serial killers or rapists?" Anna said aloud for Scott to hear.

Aunt Syla chuckled. "He's the new neighbor, he bought a champagne and apple pie."

"It does not matter." Anna said, avoiding Scott's eyes as she dished out Isla's food into a plate.

"But he's your best friend mommy." Isla said.

"No he's not." Anna said to her daughter.

Syla took her seat beside Anna. "But you know each other."

                              "Yes."

                              "No."

Scott and Anna said in unison. Just immediately, they locked eyes. Anna quickly removed her gaze.

"We knew each other." Anna corrected Syla. "Not anymore." She deadpanned as she fed Isla.

"We were best friends back in middle school till high school." Scott said to Syla as they all started eating.

"Really?" Syla smiled at them. "Then you both need to catch up."

"Yes, we should." Scott said, glancing at Anna who paid no attention to him. "You've got a beautiful daughter by the way." Scott said to Anna but Anna remained unmoved.

"Thank you Scott." Syla smiled. "Are you married? Do you have kids?"

The word married sent bile to his throat. Here he was with Anna and that stupid Amanda had to cross his mind.

Anna noticed his silence and decided to speak. "He's about to be." That gained her eyes from Scott. "In fact, I'm contracted as the baker." She revealed with a mocking smile.

Syla nodded... "That's nice." That was all she said.

There was a silence that swept the room, only cutleries were heard and Isla humming to a song as she ate.

Scott decided to break the silence. "How old is Isabelle?" He asked again, out of the blues.

Anna and Syla looked at him with a frown.

"N-no, I was just curious." Scott said to them.

"It shouldn't be your con—" before Anna could complete the sentence, Syla interrupted.

"Six. In a month's time, she'll be seven." Syla answered honestly.

Anna mentally facepalmed herself. Why did Syla talk?!

"Oh wow." Scott wasn't all that surprised. He had estimated her age to be six. "Your husband must be proud of her." Scott knew she wasn't married but he just said it anyway.

Isla laughed with her mouth full.  "Mommy isn't married." She said innocently.

"Isla." Anna gave her a warning look and Isla slouched against her seat, sulking.

"Like I said, you have so much to catch up on." Syla gave Anna a knowing look but Anna frowned back.

The dinner went well. Scott asked a lot about the area and Syla gladly talked about so many places in Galway. It was a long night.

"Isla's asleep." Anna said as interrupted Syla and Scott's conversation in the living room, after dinner. "So, I'm gonna go. Goodnight." She turned to leave.

"Anna dear," Syla stopped her. "Why don't you show him to the door before you head to your room."

Anna glanced at Syla and then at Scott who was only smiling at her. It took her five seconds to reluctantly agree.

"Sure." She said with no enthusiasm.

Syla and Scott stood up immediately. "It was nice talking to you Scott." She smiled happily.

"You too." Scott nodded, smiling back.

Scott walked over to Anna who lead him to the entrance hall.

"You have a beautiful family." Scott said with all sincerity.

"I'm gonna like it if you just leave and never come back." Anna told him squarely. "I mean it."

Scott smirked at her. "Anna, accept it. I'm back in your life, and there is nothing you can do about it."

Anna crossed her arms over her chest. "Don't think too highly of yourself." She told him.

Scott moved closely to her. "I like when you're mad, you're prettier."

"Can you get your perverted self outta my house? It's disgusting, you're disgusting." Anna glared at him.

"We still have scores to settle." Scott told her.

Anna moved closer to him, narrowing her eyes at him. "Scores have been long settled." Her eyes were almost digging his soul as she stared.

"We'll..." He inched closer to her. "See," his lips were dangerously close to hers. "About that Anna bear." He whispered seductively making her bite her lip. God, he could take her there and then! But where was the fun in that? Scott decided to back away. He was irresistible, he wasn't named sexiest man alive for nothing. Just one more push and his Anna would be in his bed, screaming his name in hot hardcore pleasure.

Anna watched him walk out of the house. She swallowed nervously, rubbing her chest. She would be lying if she said his unannounced appearance didn't affect her.

"Anna." Syla called, pulling Anna from her thoughts.

Anna turned to Syla with a frown.

"We have to talk." Syla said in a cold voice.

Anna knew what it was going to be about but she was prepared.

Scott took off his shirt, flinging it to a near by chair. He suddenly remembered Anna, her damp hair, her eyes, her lips, her body. She was simply a goddess. His junior ached badly as he had erotic thoughts about her.

"Focus Scott, Anna is out of the option." He said to himself. He picked up his phone to call Chad, his cousin.

"Have you gotten to see Anna?"

"I did, and I can't stop thinking about her." Scott admitted.

Chad chuckled. "Listen, you can't spend the entire week there. You need to come home."

"Yeah." Scott nodded. "But before that, I want Anna and I to talk at least. We still have so much to talk about.... And there's Isabelle."

   "Isabelle? Who is Isabelle?"

"Anna's daughter." Scott sighed. "For sure Anna is not married, so it got me thinking. Her daughter is going to be seven soon, it's weird." Scott said to him.

        "What's weird?"

"Anna might have had Isabelle immediately after high school because..." Scott thought for a while. "The last time I spoke to Anna was seven years ago, so if she has a daughter now, it only means she had gotten pregnant back then." Scott was definitely putting two and two together.

Chad hmmed. "Maybe she had a boyfriend back then."

"That's impossible. Anna didn't have a boyfriend. I was her first everything." Scott said confidently.

"What truly happened to you and Anna?" Chad asked him.

Scott frowned. "It's not my favorite topic but I caused it. I hurt her." He said casually.

"Then I think you both should settle your differences." Chad finally told him. "Another advice, don't think you're in love with her because I'm sure what you feel is regret and pity, you're guilty because it was your fault. That's all." Chad had to say.

Scott nodded. Of course he wasn't going to fall for her, because whatever he felt was only.... Lust. "I know." He said to Chad.

🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹

It's been three days, Anna hadn't heard or seen Scott around although she was watchful at the house across and secretly hoping that he had left her alone. Ever since Scott had shown up on her door step, she had never been the same. Anna was always keeping her daughter indoors, she didn't want any confrontation because Scott was nosey at the last dinner they had.

"Are you ready?" Anna turned to her daughter who was dressed in a pink ballet outfit and also had her hair up in a tight bun. They were both at the entrance hall.

"Yes." Isla said tugging on her pink tutu. "When would Dee be arriving?" She asked her mom.

"I'm not sure. He'll be here anytime from now." Anna exhaled and that was when the doorbell rang. "I guess that should be him." Anna went to open the door, to her surprise it was Scott.

"Hi." Scott smiled at her. He wore brown slacks, leaving the sleeves of his shirt folded up.

Anna was about to close the door, when he held the door immediately, stopping her from closing it.

"Wait Anna." He said quickly, with his hand against the door. "I need to talk to you.... Please." Scott begged, he looked serious.

"No." Anna glared at him. "Why won't you leave me alone?"

"Anna... Please." His face fell. "Just this once, I'm begging you." Scott pleaded.

"Mommy, who is it?" Isla asked her.

Anna sighed. "Fine." She allowed him to come in.

"Thank you." He managed to smile at her. "Wow, you look like a princess." Scott looked down at Isla.

Isla giggled, turning pink. "Thank you." She curtsyed.

"Pictures?" He smiled, holding up his phone.

"No you can't —" Anna tried to protest but Scott took Isla's photo.

Isla pouted, making the duck face while holding up her two of her fingers to make the V sign. Scott took another shot.

"You're a natural." Scott said to Isla, giving her a highfive.

"I think you should go." Anna held his arm.

"I'm not doing anything wrong, so chill." Scott told her calmly.

    "Mr Ontario can't you—"

"What will happen if you just call me Scott?" He rolled his eyes.

"Deeeeeeeee!!!!" Isla squealed, running past Anna.

Anna and Scott turned to the entrance door to see who it was.
