Cassandra stirred in my arms as she began to wake up. Last night had been long for her, I can not believe that he would do that. Josiah was in for it today. Our wolves have grown on each other, they have ever since the first time we met. When he slept with Madison Cassandra's wolf felt it, she was in pain. Josiah...he was wrong, he shouldn't have said those things to her, the broken look on her face after he said them. I wanted nothing more than to punch him in his face, he had no right. Cassandra's eyes began to open revealing her beautiful green eyes. I smiled warmly at her placing a kiss on her forehead.

"Good morning, Love." Cassandra blushed under my gaze, a quiet 'good morning' left her lips as her hands went up to her face and rubbed tiredly at her eyes.

"How about we get you some breakfast?" I hummed placing soft kisses along her shoulder. She shivered under my touch, her body moving closer to mine. Cassandra nodded getting out of bed and heading into my bathroom. Following behind her I grab a Black T-shirt and grey sweatpants for me, and from her drawer I prepared before retrieving her, one of my black T-shirts, a black lacy bra with a matching black thong and a pair of leggings. Stepping into the bathroom Cassandra was in the shower the water rolling down her beautiful chocolate skin. Stripping out of my clothes I step inside behind her grabbing the body wash and helping her wash. I washed her delicate curls loving the way her curls lay down her back. Finishing up in the shower I stepped out grabbing a towel and wrapped it around her then doing the same for myself. "Your clothes are on the counter." I pointed as I dried my hair.

After getting dressed I was content to see her in my clothing. She looked magnificent. I held my hand out. Hoping that she doesn't shy away from my hand, thankfully she doesn't as she immediately places her smaller I hand in mine. I smile down at her lovingly, this is everything I had been waiting for. Walking downstairs we pass members of the pack. While many bowed at the sight of their Alpha and Luna, few would stop and stare agape which earned them a threatening growl. Entering the kitchen, Elaine, our cook, was setting out a plate of food for my mate and I. "Good morning Alpha, Luna." She greeted me with a bow. "Good morning Elaine. Thank you for making breakfast on such short notice."

"It is no problem at all Alpha! I know much of the pack has been dying to meet their new Luna." She exclaimed.

"My name is Cassandra, but please call me Cassie." Cassandra spoke up for the first time this morning.

"You have such a lovely name, Luna." Elaine responded clasping her hands together. Before taking my seat I pulled out a chair for Cassandra allowing her time to take her seat before I took mine. Picking up my fork I began eating glancing at Cassandra as she did the same. My wolf sighed in content at having his mate next to him and eating a meal.

"Good morning, Elaine." Josiah's voice rang from behind us. Looking back I see him standing in the doorway arms crossed over his chest and a scowl on his face. Madison trailed after him taking a seat at the counter where Elaine placed a plate in front of her. Rolling my eyes I checked on Cassandra who was focused more on eating her food, but by the way her shoulders were tense I could tell that she was uncomfortable.

"Thank you Elaine." Madison smiled as she dug into her food.

"Are you going to stand there or are you going to sit down and eat?" I growled back at Josiah. He rolled his eyes huffed and took a seat on the other side of Cassandra. As Elaine placed a plate of food in front of Josiah I noticed out of the corner of my eye the way Cassandra shifted closer to me.

"Why won't you sit next to me?" Madison pouted at Josiah who simply rolled his eyes and went back to eating.

Cassandra tugged on my shirt pulling my attention to her. "I'm done..." she whispered. I glanced at her plate noticing she barely touched her eggs.

"Do you not like eggs?" I questioned, She shook her head no. Taking her answer I finished my coffee and stood up. Holding out my hand Cassandra took it quickly slipping out of her chair and into my arms.

"Would you like to stay with me in my office while I work on paperwork, or would you like our beta and his mate show you around the pack?" I asked watching her think over an answer.

"I want to go with you." She confirmed looking up into my eyes. I couldn't help the smile that slipped onto my face knowing that she wanted to spend time with me.

"Come." I coaxed turning around and leaving the room. Stopping in my tracks I remember that I had an issue to address.

"Actually princess, I have something I need to discuss with my brother. Why don't you stay here with Elaine for a bit while I speak with him. I will find you when we're done." I spoke softly placing my hands on her cheeks. Her face sunk realizing what I was planning on doing.

Nodding she wrapped her arms around my neck placing her head into the crook of my neck and breathed in deeply. As her tension released she stepped away blowing out a shaky breath. She smiled up at me as I placed a kiss on her forehead. Turning to Josiah I gave him a hard look as he watched us, I nodded towards our office. Groaning he stood up leaving the room and heading towards our conjoined office.

Slamming the office door behind me I turned to a scowling Josiah.

"WHAT THE FUCK!" I all but yelled having him across the room.

"She's been nothing but a brat ever since we brought her back here and you know it." He growled, hardening his eyes.

"She is our mate! Have you not noticed how afraid of you she's been? Did you ever stop and notice at the dance how she avoided talking to any alphas other than her brother? Goddess, Josiah! Clearly something happened and it's affecting her more than you'd think." I rambled, while running my hands through my hair. I knew something was wrong the day we met her. Any alpha female who met their mate stood with complete confidence and would not run when she met her mate. Something happened to her, there had to be something...she would not be running if there was.

"Why would you go to Madison? Knowing damn well that you have a mate? You put her in pain! She was screaming for hours." I scolded. Josiah's face cracked at the mention of the pain our mate went through.

"She was in pain?" He repeated questioning me.

"Yes...in pain. Because you decided to sleep with another wolf." Josiah cursed under his breath as he began to pace.

"Damn it I didn't know!" He yelled stopping in his tracks.

"You couldn't feel her pain? Because I damn sure did." I ground out through clenched teeth.

"I thought...I didn't mean to...fuck." He stuttered out.

"I told you months ago to stop fucking her. Yet you never listened! I don't care how much of a brat our mate is, you never sleep with another wolf!" I scolded, throwing my hands into the air.

"You're not having a single moment alone with her, not until you get your emotions under control. When she's ready...that's when you'll be around her." I said leaving no room for discussion. 'ALPHAS, help! Your mate...' Elaine's panicked voice came through the pack link. Tensing up I turn and dart out of the room with Josiah on my heels.
