Chapter thirteen: "Picnic"

Mine? Did I just hear him say that?

I pulled away a little from our hug as I glanced up at his face with his eyes still dark, he was serious when he said that

"Cloud I think you're a bit possessive" I tried to lighten the mood by calling him out

He smirked down at me "Who says I wasn't?" One of his hands went up to cup the left side of my face

"So you were aware?"

"From the beginning, yes"
He sounds so proud of it

I grabbed a fistful of his clothes and yanked him down to my level until our faces were mere inches apart from each other "If you think I'm gonna comply to you like those stories you got the wrong girl"

Cloud's face went blank before he started to laugh That he has to hold his stomach because it was starting to hurt, I watched my boyfriend almost fainting from how he laughed so much right in front of me

I waited a long time before he has finally stopped laughing and catch his breath, he wiped a tear at the corner of his eyes from laughing too much "Angel, I know that from the day we started dating"

Cloud stood up straight "And surprisingly, I managed to tame an angry kitten"

I scoffed "A kitten? Are you seriously comparing me to a baby cat?"

"Well...you're small"

That was the thing before I kicked the back of his leg that he has to put his hand over to soothe the pain "There it is" he groaned

"Once provoked it will scratch but for you, it will hit and punch" Cloud explained

I crossed my arms at him "Looks like someone is sleeping on the floor tonight"
How dare he call me small, I'm not that small!

I strolled past him before getting ready to sleep on the bed, the duvet was already covering me and I was set to doze off into a dream world until I feel the duvet being pulled off on me "Cloud, give me back that duvet" I demanded

"You kicked me out of bed and forced me to sleep on the floor, I want something comfortable to cover me from the cold night" he explained as he starts to set the duvet on the floor

I grumbled a few colorful words before I said "Fine, come sleep with me"

Cloud puts on a victory grin "Ok!" He wraps the duvet around him before joining me on the bed, I felt Cloud hug me from behind warming me with the duvet wrapped around us
What happened to that cold and jerk Cloud Marshall before? This guy hugging me right now is the opposite of him

He lifted me a little by putting both of his hands on my waist and setting me down in the middle while he was sitting in an Indian position "Let's enjoy swimming tomorrow" he suggested

I leaned my back on his hard chest "Let's do it"

"Penelope, are you ready? I want to go swimming right now" Ella complained while knocking at the bathroom door

"I'm almost done, hold on"

It's not indecent but it felt like it

I let out a deep breath before my hand reached the door to open it "What do you think?" I asked Ella who looks at my swimsuit

She walked up to my luggage and pulled out a huge t-shirt and threw it to me "Wear that or else your boyfriend is gonna have a tantrum, it looks decent but indecent at the same time what the fuck!?"
She also seems to be confused about the swimsuit

Cloud went straight to the beach first with all of our stuff packed in a small bag and I would assume he is already playing in the water either in the pool or at the beach with my other cousins

"I don't think it shows too much skin" I try to convince myself since insecurities that little shit keeps shadowing me

"Penelope, I don't think that swimsuit leaves much to the imagination. The one-shoulder style looks good though"

Ella was getting impatient that she started to pull me out of the hotel room before locking it, she has a towel to cover her yellow two-piece polka dot swimsuit. She was also wearing a sun hat and some shades "Let's go!" She said excitedly

During our walk to the beach, I kept pulling down the oversized shirt that keeps going up past my thighs

"We're here!" Ella yelled to the others before setting her things down on a sunchair and removing her towel, I stood there awkwardly trying to find Cloud among the other tourist at the beach who were enjoying their time.

Adeline and Wendy walked up to us all wet since they had just come back from swimming and playing beach ball, Adeline glanced at my t-shirt and gave me a weird look "Aren't you gonna remove that? It's not like you're gonna swim with that t-shirt on, are you?"

I glanced down at the oversized band t-shirt "Yeah, I guess I should remove it before swimming. Hold on"

Adeline pulled Ella to play beach volleyball with her with some other people at the beach leaving me alone with Wendy, my hands reached for the hem of the t-shirt and I slowly pulled it off of me
Take note, don't ever let Cheryl pick out my swimsuit ever again

Even though it was a one-shoulder swimsuit, it still showed some cleavage

"I didn't know you have that swimsuit" Wendy commented looking a bit surprised

"So do I since my roommate bought it for me during her shopping"

"Well I for one think it suits you, your body be looking real sexy right now" she winked at me while nudging me with her elbow and wiggling her brows

I gave her a small smile "Thanks Wendy"

Wendy's eyes went to look behind me and I turned my head to follow her line of sight, my eyes widened to see Cloud running to me with a towel in one hand "What on earth?" I talked to myself before he managed to reach me in time to cover the towel around my body

"I'll just...go over there" Wendy pointed to the juice bar and announced it to both of us before leaving us alone

"Are you uncomfortable wearing this?  I could buy you another swimsuit" he suggested

He is dirty-minded but he is thoughtful, one of the reasons I love him

"I'm fine, Cheryl bought this for me and it would be bad to let it just sit in my closet for a long time" I answered

"Are you sure?"

I giggled a little "I really am, don't worry" I assured him

He hesitantly removes the towel around me then sets it down on the sunchair where Ella left her things, his eyes wander my entire body and I can see his Adam's apple move a bit

"Your swimsuit is too...eye-catching" he commented

I raised a brow up at him "There's a girl over there wearing a hot pink swimsuit, what's so eye-catching about mine?" I pointed to the girl right by the swimming pool
I was only wearing a black one-piece, off the shoulder, a bit too tight swimsuit with a hole design by the waist area

Nothing too eye-catching here

"No, what I mean is" he is trying to say it but I think I know what he was trying to say because I followed his eyes, it was my chest where it shows a bit too much cleavage

"And also" he tilted his head and I turned my body a bit to look at my behind that has been growing lately because of the workouts with him

"Oh..."
That was the only thing that came out of my mouth

"That's what I meant by too eye-catching" he chuckled "I don't mind showing you off just be close to me or else there are creeps that might hit on you" Cloud held my hand and we started to walk straight to where he left our towels

The location was a bit far but it was perfect since there were not many tourists here than the place close to the hotel, on our way here I did felt so many gazes from other people that when Cloud saw it he glares at them and they change the direction where they were looking

I gasped a little when we reached our spot, he made a little picnic area for the both of us. There was a basket filled with foods and a large bottle of wine with two wine glasses

"I didn't know you prepared this, where did you get all these stuff?" I asked him as I sat down on the checkered blanket that was used for the picnic

"I planned it since our dates are limited between class breaks"
