Chapter eighty-one: "Looks Like A Tree"

My eyes fluttered open and there I saw Cloud in a middle of a phone call. It lasted for quite a while that I doubt that Cloud didn't even notice I was awake until I shuffled a little on the bed to get comfy

"No you idiot, I mean the Christmas Party" Cloud commented as he looks down at my still sleepy face. I sat up and rubbed my right eye

I glanced down at my clothes and confusion has taken over me
Did I change my clothes? I'm pretty sure I didn't

Maybe Cloud changed my clothes right after

I listened attentively to their phone call while fixing my bird nest of hair that got very tangled when I slept like a baby

Cloud snorted when he saw my hair

"What's so funny?" I heard one of his brothers ask him over the phone

"My girlfriend looks like a tree, hold on" he answered then sets his phone on speaker mode and lay it down beside him as he helped me fix my hair with amusement

"How did it get this bad?" I whisper while untangling my hair care that I might as well do it strand by strand

Cloud chuckled "I forgot to brush your hair, sorry"

"By the way dude, the Christmas Party will be held at a manor in the 2nd living room" the voice on the phone informed Cloud who finished fixing my hair

I squinted both of my eyes
Wait, I don't remember that there even was a second living room in the manor, and if it does, who the hell has a second living room?! That is the stupidest thing I've ever heard

My fingers tugged Cloud's shirt "I don't remember you guys having another living room"

He grabbed his phone "The 2nd living room is a bit bigger than the first and smaller than the ballroom, you'll know it when you see it"

While I was in the middle of making something in the kitchen since I have the urge to eat any type of food at midnight even though I don't feel that hungry, Cloud played with Coco in the living room

All of a sudden the elevator doors made a ding sound
Is somebody visiting here at such a late hour?

I hurriedly finished up making my tuna sandwich and took a bite before those elevator doors opened to reveal the twins entering the penthouse

"Merry Christmas!" Nick greeted Cloud loudly that I have to make a shushing gesture to inform him that Liam was asleep

Cloud rolled his eyes at Nick "Dude it's not yet Christmas"

Nick pouted at his best friend "C'mon it's the season to be jolly" he pulled out something in his backpack and put it on Cloud's nose

It was a red nose like Rudolph the red nose reindee

I tried to hold the food inside my mouth while laughing because Cloud was caught off guard when Nick puts the red nose on him, the nose was the size of a baseball. The best part of it was the light-up part at the center

Thankfully I swallowed the food in my mouth before I laugh my ass off in front of my boyfriend and his best friends who were laughing with me

Cloud made a grumpy face and crossed his arms as Nikki took a photo of him on her phone "I'm so gonna post this on my blog" she mumbled

Those words made Cloud run after Nikki to stop her from posting his grumpy Rudolph face on her blog. I walked up to Nick who was grabbing something again in his bag

"And here is for gorgeous" he puts a headband on me with brown reindeer antlers and a cute small red bow to match

"Thank you handsome" I handed him one of the sandwiches that were meant for Cloud and it turned out my jealous boyfriend saw it

"HEY! That is mine" Cloud pointed his fo her at Nick with the red nose still stuck on his face

Nick quickly took a huge bite and the face of defeat on Cloud's face was funny. Not to be dramatic but he made a sad face before flipping his entire body on the couch "Fuck you, Matthews"

The twins grinned at Cloud "Love you too Marshall" they simultaneously replied to him with mischievous faces

I sighed and went back to the kitchen to whip up a lot of sandwiches for them, Cloud's forest green eyes landed on my headband "Hey! How come she gets a headband while I get a huge red nose?!"

Nikki made a clicking sound with her mouth "tsk tsk, you have been too good-looking for so long that it's our time to shine this Christmas"

Nick puts an arm around Cloud "And don't you dare remove that nose during our Christmas party"

Yes...our friends decided to celebrate Christmas on my side of the family since they decided that the entire Marshall clan would freeze them to death if they gave them the cold shoulder. After celebrating Christmas with their families, they would come and visit my home so we could exchange gifts and celebrate it as friends

Cloud puffed out his cheeks "This is ridiculous, it's not my fault I look hot"

"Then blame that on your parents" Nikki answered him with a dead look in her eyes before pulling me beside her for a selfie

The elevator doors opened again and this time another twin has set their feet inside the penthouse, it was Mason and Oliver with their luggage

That was the final straw before Cloud groaned and throw his head back "This isn't a mental center for twins, your two go back" he pointed at the elevator door at the twins

Oliver gave Cloud the middle finger "What a loving big brother you are" he spoke in a monotone voice with tired eyes

The Marshall towns proceeded to ignore Cloud before entering and occupying the two guestrooms

Cloud shook his head in confusion "Angel, are you confused"

I giggled "Not as confused as you are"

Morning came and Liam was surprised by the additional four people eating at the dining table for breakfast

"Morning Dude" Nick greeted Liam and handed him a plate full of pancakes drizzled with maple syrup

Liam could only say "Huh?" as he glances at the twins eating to their heart's content

"Don't worry, I'm just as confused as you are" Cloud patted Liam's back before walking up to me for seconds

It is very funny to watch the two brothers look at the 2 sets of twins, the Matthews are fraternal twins while the Marshalls are identical twins

We heard the elevator ding again and there I saw Cloud chanting "Please don't be a twin, please don't be a twin"

There entered Cheryl and Paul with their breakfast on a paperbag so they could eat with us but also have a bite of the freshly cooked breakfast I made

Cloud sighed in relief and Cheryl saw what he did before asking me "What's up with lover boy?"

I leaned and whisper in her ear "He just doesn't want to meet another twin since his twin brothers and best friends are here"
It's hard to wrap it around your head the coincidence of meeting twins quite a lot

Soon the silence in the room was broken by Cheryl's loud witch cackle "Sucks to be you Cloud but I'm a twin too"

In a state of shock, Cloud accidentally dropped his fork as it fell to the floor "Goddamn it"

"I didn't know you were a twin," I asked her in bewilderment

She winked at me "Yes but my twin died during childbirth"

"I'm sorry to hear that"

"She's in a better place now, babies become angels when they die" she shrugged at me and stabbed her fork at bacon and took a bite
