Chapter thirty: "Family Of Friends"

While Cloud was sitting on the bed waiting for me, I haven't changed out of my drenched dress because of the rain.

He raised a brow at me "You okay Angel? You haven't changed out of your dress yet"
I can't do that because it's embarrassing for him to see me with the red lingerie underneath this dress

I put my hand up to stop him from taking a step toward me and my face turned beet red "Could you please step out of the room?"

Cloud snorted "Why are you so shy right now? We both just took a shower together this morning while naked" he was puzzled before grabbing my hand that I used to try and stop him
I can understand about being naked but not the part where I'm wearing lingerie like I was expecting it to happen right after our date

He then squinted his eyes at me "Wait, are you hiding something from me" he smirked and I pulled back my hand from his hold

Cloud took long strides towards me trapping me between him and the wall, I gulped and felt my hand shake a little from being nervous at being caught. He tilted his head still being curious at me "If you don't speak right now Angel I have no choice but to do this"

I let out a small laugh and crossed my arms on my chest "Do what? Tickle me?" I rolled my eyes at him then he suddenly trapped me between his arms

Both of his hands are on the wall trapping me more "How about you tell me or this could get dirty" he teased
This is gonna be the end of me but I'm not giving up! We fight fire with fire!

I bit my lower lip a little as I traced my fingertips on his biceps "How dirty?"
I just wanna die in a hole, HOW COULD I SAY SUCH A THING WITH A PRETEND SEDUCTIVE FACE!!?

Before Cloud could react we heard the front door of the penthouse open and we checked to see who it was

It turns out to be Liam who came back because he forgot his umbrella "Sorry for disturbing you guys!" he shouted before going out of the penthouse in a hurry

Cloud took the opportunity and locked the front door to stop me from trying to escape from him "Now then..." every step he take towards me was filled with something I knew very well

I ran immediately behind the couch "Now hold on, I already have a lot of hickeys and I don't want more" I try to persuade him

"Not unless you tell me what you're hiding, that tease you did to me earlier was a turn on" he admitted before deeply chuckling
Cloud was insane, he was not gonna stop unless he gets the answer he wanted

I took a sharp breath before saying "Alice she...made me wear red lingerie under this dress"

"Say what now?" he didn't seem to process what I just said so I pulled down the front of the dress a little to show him the red bra

"S-she made me wear it because I just wanted to make her happy since she broke down earlier-" "Were you uncomfortable?" he asked cutting me off

"Huh?"

He walked up to me and checked my face closely "If you are uncomfortable wearing then just get an extra pair and change out of it if you want"

I looked down at my feet and smiled "I'll take note"

"Also, you don't need lingerie since I'll be taking them off anyway" he joked
A dirty joke

We walked together back to the bedroom and he gave me my change of clothes, his eyes went dark once I removed the drenched dress off of me leaving me in my underwear.

"I'll just watch videos on my phone," he said to me before shifting his attention to his phone before I started removing the wet underwear and wearing the dry clothes without it

I wore his sweater before I heard my stomach grumble, Cloud looked up from his phone to look at me "I'll make us some dinner c'mon" he told me before we both head straight to the kitchen so he could make both of us some food. While I sat on the barstool and related my elbows on the kitchen island

I watched Cloud roll up his sleeves and started making our dinner, his broad busy back was something that I couldn't take my eye off no matter how hard I try. He felt my gaze so he turned around to face me, I grinned at him and he returned it with his heartwarming smile before returning back to cooking

While he was busy I sneak up from his behind and hugged him from the back as I rest my head on it, I felt him freeze "You took so much effort to get ready" he spoke with a sullen tone

"I don't mind going through it again if we're going on a dinner date next time" I answered as I hugged him tightly

"I'm really sorry"

"Stop apologizing"

"Sorry about apologizing" He laughed lightly

I rolled my eyes
This guy, seriously

Right after we are dinner I showed Cloud some of the pictures I've taken back when I had a different identity

"This is before I was being chased after by the neighborhood dog" I clicked on the picture where Daisy and I were in a uniform posing on the empty street of the seaside town

Moving the mouse with my left hand was not easy because my right hand was holding Cloud's that he doesn't want to let go, it was still raining outside but thankfully the thunderstorms stopped. We were both seated on the sofa with Cloud resting his head on my shoulder still not feeling sleepy yet

"So I guess we'll be apart by one week after this weekend, I would feel so alone" he sighed before burying his face in the crook of my neck

"You're not going to Paris alone you idiot, the twins are joining you there too" I reassured him

His face changed from sullen to annoyed "Those two have been annoying me for days on end since both of their birthdays are coming up"

"When you looked at it from a different perspective it almost looks as if we were a small family of friends"

Cloud snorted that he almost spit the chips in his mouth that he was chewing "As if, I had a son like Nick and a daughter like Nikki"

"C'mon at least those two are academically inclined"

"Yeah in doing shenanigans that is" he retorted

I raised a brow at him "Oh?"
If that's the case then I supposed it's not wrong to video chat the twins right now

I moved my mouse cursor and exited my picture folder to click the video chat icon which made Cloud sit up quickly "Wait what are you...HOLD ON!!" he yelled in a state of panic but it was too late because I already clicked the call button

Nikki answered the call right away "Hey Penelope and my good o'l alcoholic friend Cloudina"

Cloud scoffed at Nikki through the camera "For the record Nikki I just drink a lot of alcohol but I'm not addicted to it" he corrected her

We heard a snicker in the background and outcomes Nick's face as ge pops out behind the camera in Nikki's room "Are you sure about that dude?"

I rested my back on the couch "So I was talking to Cloud and I-" Cloud instantly covered my mouth with his hand
This hand won't stop me from speaking

I poked my finger at Cloud's side in his ticklish part and he immediately removed his hand on my mouth to cover his side so I took the chance to say it to the twins "Cloud told me that if you both were his children he doesn't want you two"

Nikki raised both of her brows not from either shock or surprise, just a 'Yeah, I kinda know about that' face

Nick cackled loudly "As if we were his children when we're the ones who adopted the little shit back at the train station when he asked to borrow money from me"

"You had a smug face when this handsome shit tried to borrow money from you!"

"Did you even return the money?" Nikki asked and Cloud groaned

"Yes I returned the money, how else would we talk like this if I didn't return the money!? You used it to buy a toy plushie, Nick!"

Nikki looked at her brother because she didn't have her share of the money, Nick glanced at his sister "What? The plushie was a mini-me so I gotta buy it"

Nikki slapped her forehead with her palms "Dear lord, you two are unbearable"

"You joined us Nikki" Cloud and Nick simultaneously replied to her in a monotone voice
