Chapter fifty-seven: "Family Home"

After spending some time with Ava, me and Cloud left the manor and then continued our journey to whatever place Cloud was planning on taking me

I hopped into the car as Cloud started the engine

"So..." I buckled up then turned to face him right after "Where are we going?"

"Not far from here if you're worried about that" he started driving away from the manor and onto the moist asphalt road with no cars in sight
Due to the chilly weather, all of the things in the area are a bit moist

It was then that I started to notice that he was driving us out of the city and into the near rural area

My phone buzzed from the inside of my pocket so I pulled it out and answered the call without checking the caller ID "Penelope speaking"

"BITCH WHERE THE FUCK ARE YOU?!" Yara yelled at me through the phone which startled both me and Cloud

I snorted a little
How I miss this chaotic Yara
"I'm with Cloud right now since he said he's gonna take me somewhere"

"I'm with the rest of the group in the twins' penthouse with food and beer, so you better hurry your ass up slut"
Quite demanding from someone who is giving an invite

My eyes went to look at Cloud and we both gave each other funny looks before I replied to Yara "We'll be there soon but don't wait on us, Alice has a monstrous appetite and I assume she is fighting the urge to eat right now with Will"

Yara laughed "You can say that again" she opened her camera and focused it on Alice who was being held back by Will from taking a bite at the pizza

Nobody can stop Alice from eating especially even if her boyfriend is stopping her

Cloud snatched the phone from my hand "Hey Yara"

"What?"

"I'll tell you what, you guys can borrow my card for food until me and Angel arrive"

I could hear Yara, Alice, Jane, and Daisy squeal in delight "DEAL!!" they all yelled

He chuckled before ending the call and handed me back my phone leaving me speechless

"Are you KIDDING ME?!" I yelled at him which made him jump from his seat and hit the brakes to stop the car abruptly, that made me almost fly forward if it wasn't for Cloud using his arm to catch me

He was profoundly confused that I could almost see the giant question mark floating on top of his head

"Did I do something wrong?"

"Why did you say that? I could've also joined them in eating and using your card!"
If you are gonna brag about your wealth by buying unlimited food, might as well involve your girlfriend too!

Cloud squinted his eyes at me "Angel...I have a separate card for you to use to buy unlimited food so why are you yelling at me for such a dumb reason?"

"Wait what?"

He grabbed his wallet from his pocket and searched for the card before throwing me the gold plated card that landed on my lap "That's your separate card"

I took a closer look at the card "Is this real gold?"
The card was so shiny and slightly heavy when it landed on my lap

"A custom card made for VVIP's a Marshall perk" he winked at my shocked frozen face

"So in short, this is real gold?"

"Bingo!" he chimed happily

My mouth was slightly ajar when I look at the card in surprise
I could end a country's hunger problem with this card

He kissed my cheek and then smiled as he puts his hand under my chin to close my mouth for me. This card is like holding someone's entire future
But then again, he even has money ready for children

This shouldn't be supposed to shock me but I haven't been adjusting well to how insanely rich his family is

I woke up from my deep slumber with Cloud patting my shoulder lightly "We're here Angel"

Once my blurry vision started to become clear I can identify what was in front of the car, it was a log cabin near a small lake where the moonlight hits its surface giving its lovely glow. The place felt like a hazy dream, the type where you feel pleased with the silence and cool air that you don't wanna wake up at all

The smell of the dewy grass hits my nose as the sound of crickets cuts through the silence of the clear skies this starry night

Fireflies lit up the tulips and pebbles near the pathway that leads up to the doors of the log cabin

"Wow"
No words could explain how I was feeling right now but I know it isn't unpleasant.

The heaviness of stress within me started to disappear once I took a step forward, hearing the rocks and pebbles crush and move beneath my feet as I started to continue walking

"Is this one of your family's too?"

He shook his head and hugged me tightly from behind with his strong arms around my waist "Nope, I made this place"

"Like you designed it?"

"I constructed it too" he grinned as he nuzzled his nose at the crook of my neck, I could feel his warm breath hit my cool skin

I leaned my upper body a little "When did you construct this place?"

"Me and Meghan planned it but I was the one who constructed the log cabin when she passed" he slowly held my hand and pulled me into the front door entrance of the cabin

The interior took my breath away, it was a mix of modern and a traditional cabin styled home near the lake with the mountains from behind

Cloud started a fire at the fireplace as I walk around the cabin, exploring the halls and the kitchen. When exploring I noticed something different, there was one master's bedroom and 4 individual guest rooms

"Cloud are you sure you are the only one who is going here? Do your brother's come here too?"
It would be unusual for Cloud to have this cabin home all for himself and yet have guest bedrooms

I heard footsteps coming near me and I twisted my head to the right to see his eyes shine happily like it was waiting for me to guess something "What?" I asked him

He looks at all the four doors "Meghan used to say this to me when we were little 'When you become a parent, I want to make sure that I would become a hot filthy rich aunt' so since she isn't an aunt yet and doesn't have any money because of being a kid, Meg started designing the cabin with me on the side just coloring"

Once I put two and two together my eyes widened "Oh my God! This-" "Is our family home" he finished the sentence

He excitedly grabbed my hand and showed me each room, starting with the master's bedroom "This is where we will sleep together"

Cloud suddenly pulled me to the hallways where the four doors are "I'm not sure which gender they would be so for the moment I haven't thought of what color the rooms would be but I made sure that all of them had the same room size so each gets a fair treatment"

My heart raced and I couldn't contain hiding my smile, he was everything I could ask for that I thought that was too good to be true

"I built the place in a rural area since I remembered that you've wanted to live somewhere with fresh air, the mountains as your view in the morning and the starry skies at night" he was really excited like he couldn't hold it in anymore and was just going all out

He then pulled me back to he living room which was the biggest room in the cabin home "I had the piano here and the bookshelves at the corner so we could all spend our family time together here"

He then stood in front of me and fiddled his hands "Do you like it? I'm sorry I haven't made the place bigger but I could-" I cutted him off with a kiss

I felt him smile when I had my lips of his, it was warm and soft that I like the feeling. Right after kissing him I rested our foreheads together with the tips of our nose touching "I love it"
