Chapter one hundred fourteen: "Fainted"

It was now morning and I walked around the penthouse looking for something while looking for my notebook that contained the notes for my lessons, there is this guy that kept following me around dropping pillows at every possible place that could be dangerous for me

"Cloud, I could still see my feet. My stomach is not that big yet so don't worry" I assure him as I reached the final drawer that I hadn't checked yet

He shook his head quickly "Nope, no, no, no, what if you fall? I clearly remember you are clumsy"

My hand shoved inside one of the top drawers and I found my notebook
Gotcha! I thought I was gonna keep searching forever

When I turned my body around to face him, I was greeted with a mountain of pillows on his arms that covered his face. Every accident-prone spot in the penthouse now has a huge pillow

"Where on earth did you get so many pillows?"

He winked at me "We always needed pillows because our lazy asses are too lazy to get it from the other rooms"
That's kinda true, the penthouse is big and we both get lazy to get pillows from the other rooms so he just bought more pillows

I crossed my arms and raised a brow at him "What about your laptop?" I titled my head to the left where we would see the cracked screen laptop sitting on the dinner table

Cloud shoved both of his hands in his pocket "That could be easily fixed"

I sighed "Of course you do"
His reaction was too unexpected even for me to comprehend, the guy just lets go of his laptop with important files so easily when in shock

And I know Cloud is not the kind to be careless about such things

As I put my attention back to Cloud, wherever he goes around the penthouse there is a huge grin on his face that is possibly stuck

"So I'm planning to tell my family first about the pregnancy" I spoke to him, he stopped doing what he was doing in the living room and thought for a moment

"How about a party? Gather everyone and we'll tell them right after" he suggested excitedly that he was starting to contact his connections

I giggled at his enthusiasm "How about we tell this to Ava first?" I suggested
I might have to tell Mamita Daphne and Grandma Rita about the pregnancy on the phone since they're on another trip somewhere around the world with my grandpa's

He nodded at me before he slowly lowered his eyes down to my stomach, Cloud grabbed his keys and kissed me before leaning down to kiss my stomach "Daddy's just gonna get the car for Mommy" he whispered before running for the elevator leaving me to smile warmly at his back facing me

While waiting for the elevator to come back up to the penthouse level again from the parking lot basement, I packed a few things for my bag and fixed myself before stepping in

So the thing is, I was planning to just walk out of the entrance to see Cloud, no, maybe I was thinking too simple when it comes to him

Cloud even went as far as fetching me from the elevator, a few beads of sweat slid down the side of his face so I pulled out a handkerchief and wiped his sweat "Love, you're gonna get sick if you do that"

"Not a problem" he smiled at me again

Of course, our sweet interaction with one another in the lobby wasn't complete without the dirty stares from the receptionists and curious onlookers who happens to pass by
News of our engagement has spread fast, his fans definitely have mixed reactions to it

Some expressed their sadness while others gave us congratulations on the media. Let's not forget those people who were extremely annoying since they hate me

I can't imagine their reactions if they heard the news that I'm pregnant

Cloud slid one arm around my waist and guided me to the car parked at the front of the building, the first thing I now noticed is that he was being careful

He opened the door for me and made sure I got in without any problem
Yeah, I think I now understand what Juliet meant when you become pregnant and have a Marshall for a husband

During the car ride to the manor, I asked Cloud "You're not setting ground rules now that I'm having a baby right?"
I'm just making sure

He chuckled lightly before I sense a change of atmosphere quickly after he became quiet "Sorry Angel but I have to now"

I groaned and scratched the back of my head "Well what is it?"

Those lovely forest green eyes gazed at me for a moment before turning back his attention to the road "I have a few"

That statement made one of my brows raise "A few?"
Something tells me he is gonna write a law than a rule

"I'll tell you all of them by tomorrow, I need to write them down"

Soon the car reached the manor and we were greeted by a 14-year-old Benjamin who was getting ready to go to school, as soon as I stepped out of the car he dashed toward me

Cloud was quick on his feet that he stopped his brother that almost impacted near my stomach "How about you run a little slower next time to Angel"

"It's not like Penelope is pregnant Cloud" then he squinted his eyes at him "Or is it?" then a mischievous grin formed on his face
Benjamin is only 14 years old but Theo's strong genes were already showing, he was becoming handsome like his brothers

Cloud flicked his brother's forehead "Aren't you gonna be late for school?" he asked him

He rolled his eyes at his big brother "It's not gonna start in an hour or so"

My hand patted Benjamin's shoulder "You're getting taller Benji" I noticed when his shoulder already reaches mine
I'm starting to reminisce about the 8-year-old Benji that I first met

Benji looked at his watch "Looks like I have to go, see ya, Penelope"

Cloud scoffed "What about me?"

"You forgot my present last Christmas so no" he gave Cloud a small smile before running to sit at the back of the car before the driver started the ignition
Forgetting his Christmas present was an honest mistake because Cloud has his mind all over the place at the time

"PENELOPE!"

Ava walked up to me with arms wide "I haven't seen you since New Year" she then squeezed both of my cheeks "My future granddaughter in law" she spoke in a chirpy tone

I smiled at her "And"

"And?"

Cloud chuckled and held my hand while my other hand rested on my stomach "Your great-grandchild" I added

She blinked multiple times "Huh?"

Me and Cloud laughed in joy "Grandma" Ava's eyes went to Cloud "Angel's pregnant"

Yeah, maybe we should've chosen a much better location to tell her about it. Ava froze then fainted, thankful Cloud managed to cover her head before it touches the ground

The butlers and maids started to fiddle around us and help bring Ava into the manor

Sophia descended down the stairs and saw the butlers carrying Ava, she freaked out "What happened?!" then started checking Ava's temperature

"We'll tell you later Sophia" I assured her and gave her hand a small squeeze before we watched Cloud and the rest bring her to one of the living rooms

Sophia puts both hands on her waist "That's weird, she was completely fine an hour ago and I'm sure her diet is complete of meat and vegetables. She would also get her daily exercise by walking"
It's almost like she became an investigator in a split second

With a thumb under her chin, she look up at the ceiling "The last time she would faint like that is when she found out I was gonna have Benjamin"

I gulped and pretended to be confused "Really? How odd"
