Chapter eighteen: "Dorm Peace"

We were preparing for dinner and I was in charge of setting up the table while Cloud was putting away the groceries alongside Paul, Chris was helping Cheryl cook the food

Sometimes when Cloud passed by Chris they would both stare at each other and Cloud would either glare at him or flat out ignore him pretending he was never there, I hit him at the back of his foot with my right feet "Cloud be nice" I whisper to him

"Angel, I don't like him" he whispered back and we both peeked at Chris who has his back facing us being busy chopping up the radishes on the counter

"The least that you should do is just don't give him death glares every 6 minutes"

"He started it"

"Cloud, he was staring at you not glaring"

He crossed his arms "Well I still don't like him" he closed his eyes and turned away acting like a toddler

I sighed and put one hand on my head
This is taking up more of my energy

Cheryl and Chris were now done cooking so we all gathered around at the table and started eating
The Pork Sinigang was so hot and it was also both sour and savory

Chris, Paul, Cloud, and I made funny faces when we ate it for the first time, Cheryl snorted while watching us from her seat

"I did not expect it to taste like this" Paul commented as he took in another bite

Cheryl tilted her chin up "Thankfully I managed to watch over the rice since Chris is so bad at cooking rice that he almost burnt it" she gave Chris a look and he turned to face the other direction trying to avoid her gaze

"You need cooking lessons" Paul suggested to Chris

Cheryl's eyes sparkled "Then why don't I teach him? Even Penelope could help me teach him"
Cheryl that's a bad idea

I hit Cheryl's leg from under the table and her eyes landed on me, I shook my head at her and tilted it towards Cloud who hasn't given a reaction yet because he was still processing the taste of the Sinigang in his mouth
I know that she wants to help Chris but please don't involve me

This is for the sake of our dorm peace

It took her a while before she understood what I was trying to say to her with no words and using my entire facial expression to relay it to her. Cheryl cleared her throat and drank some water "I forgot that Penelope is busy at times so I'll just teach you myself, you can come too Pau Pau" she referred to Paul

Chris, Cloud, and I almost spat out our food from the sudden laughter

Paul puts down both his spoon and fork "I don't like the nickname Pau Pau for the 59th time Cheryl, it sounded like a dog that wants to do the number 2"

Cloud calmed himself down after a long fight with himself from trying not to laugh, he inhaled a big breath before exhaling "I think Pau Pau is a great nickname HAHAHA" he didn't manage to hold it in and Paul's face gave a look of defeat
Sorry Paul, can't help you with that

I was washing the dishes while the trio went out to buy snacks for a movie marathon, two strong arms snaked around above my shoulder, and my waist. Cloud watched me clean the dishes because his head was hovering above my shoulder

I finally did what Vivi instructed me to do to reduce the swelling and it's helping me a lot right now

Cloud kissed me on the cheek "Here I'll help you" he offered his help in washing the rest and I was now drying the plates before putting them back in their storage area

"Will it be like this when we get married?" He asked me and my heart fluttered

I grinned at him "It will but somebody has got to watch over the kids" I teased him and his ears went red

His lips formed into a smile and his eyes now bears warmth that I get lost in, we gaze at each other for a long time before I just remembered what Cheryl informed me when I got here

"By the way, Alice and Daisy would be coming to visit us and..." I pulled one side of my knitted cardigan down for him to see what he has done

"How am I gonna explain this?"

He chuckled as he sets down the last plate that he dried up "It's simple, we made love and I marked you" he gave me a boyish grin

"That sounds easy for you to say" I replied as I pulled back up my cardigan

"The way you marked me is almost like you were planning to engulf me with a lot of hickeys"

"You did give me a hickey" he showed it to me when he pulled down the side of his jacket to reveal his neck and I slapped my forehead

"Cloud look at your hickey and look at my hickeys with the S"

"Oh..." He realized and only gave me a cute troubled look face

I walked up to my closet as both of my hands reached for the handle so I could open it wide "I'm gonna need a long-sleeved turtleneck sweater" I muttered to myself

At the very back of my closet, there sits my black tight long-sleeved turtle neck dress that stops at my thigh
I'll just wear stockings and knee-high boots to cover it up

I set it down next to the stockings and boots so that I don't have to search so much in my closet tomorrow, a yawn escaped from my lips and I stretched my arms up while sitting on the floor. Cloud walked up to me and carried me to my bed

He sets me down gently and joins to lay beside me, I snuggled up to him and rested my head on his chest. His chest rose and falls lull me to sleep

Cloud's POV

Angel fell asleep on my chest as she gave out a soft snore, I kissed the top of her head and held her hand while my other hand was at her back.
I hope my grandmother would like her

Her hair was now a bit messy so I used my hand that was resting on her back to move it out of her face so I could admire it, she shuffled around a bit that made me see her neck and shoulders

The color is still fresh and new that it might take longer to disappear
Indeed, I went overboard because I waited so long but I try to be very gentle in handling her right after like she is very fragile at the moment

I pulled her hand close to my lips and kiss it then nuzzled my face on her soft hair, Angel groaned a bit and I noticed that her legs are cold so she keeps moving her legs up and down to create friction. I grabbed the blanket to cover the both of us

My eyes landed on her pinky ring that was the same like mine but a thumb ring
I was very happy when I saw her wear it to school that day

At first, she was something that I couldn't have but I found a way to make an excuse to get closer to her, I used my problem as an opportunity but I realized that I feel like I'm using her and she didn't harbor any feelings for me.

I was dead wrong when I thought she never had feelings for me until the day she ran away
The letter is still in my drawer to this day and I never threw it out because that was the first letter she made for me

Angel opened her eyes a bit to look up at me with half-closed eyes, she then moved up a bit and pulled me close to her so now my head was resting on her chest that made me hear her heartbeat. I closed my eyes and felt her nails lightly scratching my back making me comfortable

I'm sure my family would love her, right?

So I just chatted with my bestie who was my inspiration for Daisy today and I suddenly got this bright idea for the rest of the sequel story so I'm not telling hehe
