Chapter fifty-five: "Chubby Cloud"

"Does she has any favorite hobbies?" I asked Cloud while we look at the polaroid pictures of her that were hung up on one side of the bedroom wall that is lit up with fairy lights

He looks at the picture of Meghan holding a baseball bat "She is very fond of baseball even if Mom was against it because she occasionally gets hurt"
So that explains the cute purple baseball bat at the corner of the room beside the huge teddy bear

Cloud laughed a little at himself while reminiscing the memory of his late sister "Unlike now, I used to be very weak, and even carrying a baseball bat was hard"

That memory of small Cloud brought a smile to my face "You were built like a twig when we were little"

"Yeah but I got chubby-" he instantly slaps his mouth shut with eyes wide

"Wait you became chubby? Since when?"
I was eager to know

Chubby Cloud must be quite a cute sight to see

Cloud pretended not to notice my curious face and just all in all avoided the topic of this conversation
He must be hiding those pictures

I crossed my arms "I'm going to your family library" I said then patted the door on my way out as a way of saying 'Thanks for letting me into your room Meghan'

It took him a while to realize what was my motive to go to his family library, I was at the stairs when I heard him yell "ANGEL NO!!"

Hearing him running down the hallway and his steps echoing made my adrenaline rush. I laughed and it only took me a while before I managed to reach his family library

Thankfully no one was there but you gotta give credit to the guy who created the bookshelf for only the family albums

It was so detailed that it stood out from all the other bookshelves in the library

I got close to the bookshelf and search for the year when Cloud went to elementary because that was when we separated and only to unite again in high school

The year was designed on the spine of the album cover in gold so it didn't take me long to find the specific album where Cloud used to be chubby

My hand reached for the album but suddenly a hand stopped me from pulling it out of the shelf, the hand belonged to Cloud who was heaving from exhaustion from all that running "Don't you dare"

I put on my doe eyes  "But I want to see it"

Cloud was on the verge of nodding but held himself back, he covered my eyes with his other hand "Don't use those eyes on me, Angel"

Slowly I use my hand to hold his that we're covering my eyes and use the opportunity to make him see my doe eyes
If there is one thing I found out during the entire duration of our relationship is that Cloud's weakness is my eyes, my doe eyes to be exact

Big innocent-looking eyes

It was when we were enjoying our summer break, it was when suddenly I wanted to have sunflowers in the penthouse plant box but Cloud said he wanted Daisies in there

I can't argue with him since he owns the penthouse so when I became sad I accidentally used my doe eyes and Cloud saw it, the next hour he just said he will let me plant sunflowers in the plant box

In the end, I put sunflowers on the left and daisies on the right

The first time I used my doe eyes was something I thought was just pure luck but after a series of events, it was then it hit me that I found his weakness

Cloud looks at me with desperation in his eyes "Angel I could give you the world if you want but one thing is for sure is that I would never let you see those chubby photos of me"

He was struggling real bad on not giving in to me

Trying to suppress my laugh was hard but I did my best not to show it on my face

"You're no fun"

"I don't want you to see it because it's bad, real bad"

"So when am I gonna see the picture then?" I asked him and he puts on a thinking face

Cloud looks down on me and smirks "After we get married and have children, then you are allowed to see my pictures"

I grinned "Deal" my hand went to his chest and pushed him up at the wall. His eyes went wide
He was caught off guard

"What are you doing?" he raised a brow at me and not a hint of dissatisfaction on his face

"Speeding up the process, we can get married later" I joked while my arms are encircled around his neck and the tip of our noses touching

"You mean having a baby right now and getting married later?" he said and I nodded. Cloud blinked a few times before laughing at my face
He did say he can show me the photo after we get married and have kids

After laughing he crept his hand at the back of my neck and kissed me lovingly "I definitely did not regret loving you" he chuckled

I went on to my tiptoes and Cloud bent his back for me to kiss his forehead

I nuzzled my face in his hand that cupped the right side of my face "And why is that?"

"Being bold just to get what you want is something I do in my style"

Now that he said it, he does do everything boldly to get what he wants

The deal we made and all those ridiculous things he did is just to get the reaction he wanted from me

Why this sly mother-

"Yeah, I'm pretty good at being bold" Cloud proudly said and I couldn't help but roll my eyes at him
I hope this isn't inherited or else I would have to deal with Cloud's smaller copy

I was about to kiss him again but we were cut off by someone clearing their throats, we turned our heads to see Mason who was holding 3 books stacked on top of one another "Stop being so moochy smoochy in the library" he cringed at the sight of us

"Wait, we're you listening to us this whole time?" I asked him and he groaned

"I thought you guys were planning to make out from how your voices are starting to become low and I can sense you sinners from a mile away" he then pulled out something from the inside of his jacket pockets

It was a spray and he sprayed us with water

We closed our eyes and mouths as the water kept being sprayed on our faces like we were cats

"Begone you thots, this is fresh holy water from church yesterday and I do not like sinners where I am reading. Now shoo or else I'll have you meet God by 5 minutes"

And now we were kicked out of the family library by Mason

"I didn't know Mason was religious" I spoke to Cloud while we were both dazed

"He does go to church from time to time if he wanted just because he could ask for holy water from the altar servers and put the water in the spray"

I snorted "Don't tell me he uses it to spray you guys when doing bad deeds?" I ask him as a joke and this guy straight up said "How did you know?"

His response left me speechless "HE REALLY DOES THAT?!" I yelled out

Cloud chuckled "Yeah he does that and Mom just lets him"

We were both enjoying our time alone when suddenly we heard someone clear their throats. Cloud and I turned our heads to see an old woman with a walking cane in her left hand and wearing the Marshall crest as a brooch on her scarf

She was no ordinary old woman from the way her stance and aura that she exhumed, I can tell just from one look at her

Eyes like the ocean and hair dark as night, nobody can just easily come and go in the Marshall manor
Don't tell me she's the-

"Grandma?"
