Tinsley

She's a cunt. A mother fucking cunt.

She was hiding something from me.

Me. Her mother fudging best friend.

I watched her as she awkwardly tried to hide her face behind her music sheet. What a moron.

"Candice?" I asked frustrated.

She jumped up a little as if shocked someone was talking to her. I rolled my eyes leave it to Candice to forget we were both in the music room together. Her blonde hair was twisting around her face like she just ran through a tornado. It was funny because she looked like a freaking wreak, and if I knew my Candice it wasn't something that happened often.

"What in gods name is going on with you today?"

She signed and set her sheets down. "I don't know," she was shuffling around in her bag nervously and I honestly wanted to beat her senseless mostly because it'd probably calm her down. "I've just had a rough couple of day."

"Wanna elaborate?"

"She'd rather deep throat a horse." Came a masculine voice from behind me. I whipped around and saw a green eyed monster.

"Hey Tony. You look absolutely scrumptious today! Care for a quickie behind the stairs?" I asked.

"Fuck off Tins, it happened once."

"No you got caught with your pants at your ankles once, you hooked up with Catherine behind those stairs four times."

"Stop it both of you." Candice said breaking up our cock fight.

Anthony and I looked at each other and smiled. Our little Goldie Locks was even more adorable than any of the three bears combined.

"Wanna talk about it?" I finally asked. For the first time referencing the pictures that were still floating around the school even after the headmaster threatened everyone.

"No." She said firmly.

I frowned at made eye contact with Tony who was looking right back at me. "Wendy is just a bitch. No one takes her seriously."

"Wendy doesn't matter. Those pictures don't matter. I couldn't even care. Who posted the pictures over the whole bloody school is the issue."

"I mean Wendy does matter. She called you a slut in front of the whole school. But what does that stupid carpet muncher even have on you? Nothing. She doesn't even have Emmet Morgan really." I rambled on. "I mean everyone and their mother sees how Emmet looks at you. He has since freshman year."

She looked surprised. I have no idea why. Emmet Morgan had always looked at Candice like she was the fucking sun shine, wonder bread, peanut butter and Megan Fox, but even more incredible.

But yet again, Candice had always been oddly detached to everyone and everything. She had never noticed poor Emmet pining from the corner.

"Don't look so surprised love. He looks at you like you were the latest Harry Potter novel and he was a horny book worm dying to get his hands on it." I rolled my eyes as her mouth gaped open at my words.

"You seriously never noticed?" Tony chimed in. "It's been this way since you're first Exposition. When you played he was practically drooling."

"Kinda like Tony when he imagines the pussy he can never get." I smirked.

"I get plenty. Thanks for your concern Tins, I know you're just jealous of all the wet puss I get I see. Since yours has been drier than the dessert for years."

"Fuck off."

"Guys please. Stop." I looked towards my blonde friend and frowned.

Candice Waring was gorgeous. She was polite. She was smart. Sure she was a but, dull at times but that's just her.

The Candice I was currently looking at was exhausted, irritated, and kinda acting like some dumb bimbo. But I saw a fire in her eyes I had never seen.

I had an inkling it was because of a certain dark haired sociopath. He brought something out of her I had never seen.

It was taking a toll on her, but she really needed some more life in her.

"Anyway, back to Wendy," Tony said "did you two know she plays piano." He said meaningfully staring at Candice.

Candice jerked up in surprise "No, no I didn't."

"I'm trying to figure out who her teacher was." He said curtly.

"Why would you want to know if she had a teacher?" I asked confused.

"Because I want to pick up a new instrument."

"You could as me, or Candice." I snipped.

"Yea, now I'd rather deep throat a horse." He said as he left.

"I bet you you'd get your rocks off on it!" I called after him.

When I was sure he was gone I looked at Candice. "Babe, seriously. What's up? You sure you're okay with the pictures? Like you haven't said a word about them since Monday."

"It's been three days. I'm trying to let it go."

"But why was Lucas in your bedroom? And I didn't know Emmet and you kissed! You don't tell me anything anymore and I'm kinda pissed at you. I'm your best friend Candice, and honestly I don't feel like it." She frowned, her eyes stung with hurt but I didn't really give two shits right now. "I'm not trying to be a nag but watching you get dragged down like this isn't something I can do. Did you know I almost got expelled Monday for punching out Carla Lockhorn for calling you a whore? My mother had to make a call. God knows what she did to keep me enrolled."

"You PUNCHED Carla? Why didn't I know?"

"Because you've been in la- la- land since Ted Bundy came to town and pissed all over everyone."

I watched as my best friend hung her head. "I'm so sorry." She took a deep breathe and hugged me. I was taken aback because she was sure as hell not a hugger.

Neither was I. I patted her back awkwardly and tried to wiggle my way out of her embrace.

I loved her. But hugging, yea no. Not my thing.

"He sleeps in my room at night."

"Ted Bundy?"

"Yea. He threatened me his first night back. Said he'd slit my moms throat if I didn't let him sleep there."

"Why the hell would he want to sleep in your room?" I asked slightly jealous. I mean yea, threading to kill someone's mother was a low blow. But Lucas Avery was gorgeous, second only to Emmet Morgan.

I looked down at my doe eyed best friend bewildered at her luck. Two beautiful men had feelings for her and she didn't even know.

"Someone about not being able to sleep right after being locked up. I don't know. But that's why there's that picture. Someone must have snapped it walking by my house or something. Emmet kissing me, well it's kinda been bothering me. I have no recollection of that one." She scratched her head in confusion. "My eyes are closed. I remember the outfit I was wearing that day. I had fallen asleep in the quad after class that day. I'm thinking that's when it happened. But as to why he's kissing me I don't know."

He kissed her while she was sleeping, what a sneaky boy.

"I told Wendy and everyone else who asked I had no clue about those pictures and I wasn't seeing either of them. But everyone is believing whatever they want to believe regardless. So fuck them."

"Well girl, you're a hot piece of ass." My tone a bit irritated yet.

"I'm sorry." Was all she said and then she got up and walked out of the music room.

I sighed. That was my Candice, unable to deal with confrontation.

I'd forgive her because I was such an awesome chap. But she really needed to explain herself soon before I flipped a shit.

I gathered my things and made my way to the art wing. I found myself an empty studio blasted my music and tried to get rid of some of my pent up energy.

An hour later with pain splashed everywhere my canvas was a hot mess of greens.

Green wasn't even the intention. It was yellow, then blue, then it became a contorted mixture of greens of all shades.

Green.

Jealousy.

Envy.

There was a dark side to everything.

I was jealous of my best friend.

She looked like a model.

She was smarter than anyone I knew.

She had Emmet in the palm of her hand and she didn't even know it.

It's ironic how the mind plays when jealousy is concerned.

"Green?" Came a smooth voice behind me.

The skin on my neck prickled when I recognized the voice. "Daniel?" I turned and smiled.

Daniel Reeds. With his baby blue eyes, dimpled smiled, and blonde hair he was the all American boy. But it was that perfect angelic smile made me on edge.

He reminded me of Candice in a way, distant and beautiful.

They'd make beautiful babies.

"Green." I confirmed.

"I'm not sure what to make of it but it's beautiful." He said with a grin.

I couldn't help but blush. His muscles bulged as he crossed his arms. I couldn't help but drool a bit at the sight.

Daniel was sorted into Pheidippides. Six feet tall and pure muscle he was mouth watering.

"And what do I owe the immense pleasure of your company this evening?" I asked with a suggestive quirk of my eyebrow.

Daniel had been visiting this art room, or should I say visiting me for the past two weeks. The first time he did was because he heard me playing an old Avenged Sevenfold song and he wanted to see who was cool enough to still listen to them.

Since then he always made a point to at least stop and say hi. And if I was being candid, I had a tiny crush.

"Just came to say hello to my favorite artist."

"Sure you did." I said pleased with myself.

He walked into the room and stood beside me. With both of us staring up at the canvas I realized how short I was in comparison. I quite liked it.

"Goodness Tinsley, you are incredibly talented."

"Well I'm good with my hands."

He smirked down at me "I bet you are." He bent down, his finger brushing against my cheek, I shivered at his touch. "You've got a little bit of-" he took his thumb and licked it and I swore my heart stopped. "paint right there" he said as he tried to rub it off.

"Thanks." I said slightly dazed, my own hand going to the spot he just touched.

"All gone!" He smiled at me lazily.

After a few minutes of silence he said "Oh I did come to ask you something."

I smiled brightly excited to hear what he had to ask me.

He looked down at his shoes slightly shy. He was fucking adorable. "So your friend," my heart dropped and I felt like vomiting.

"Which friend?" I interrupted him.

"Candice, she's not really seeing Avery or Morgan is she?"

Using their last names huh.

"No she's not seeing either Lucas OR Emmet." I said irritated.

"Oh cool." Has he only being talking to me to get info on Candice?

"Yea."

"Alright Tins, I got to go. Football practice. I'll see you around!" With that he turned around and left.

When I was sure he was gone I let out a frustrated scream.

My arms started to viciously attack my canvas. I saw red. My mind shut off for a moment before it furiously started to go.

Candice fucking Waring.

Everyone has always favored her. Always.

Lucas.

Emmet.

Daniel.

Even Tony was closer to her than I.

I loved her. I truly did. She was the only friend I had. She was kind, smart, and until recently the best friend I could have ever wanted.

But it didn't stop my jealousy. It didn't stop my resentment in the fact she had everything.

By the time my mind cleared my jealousy and quenched itself and my anger was sedated.

My canvas on the other hand became swirls of red and green.

Anger and envy.
