Life for me sucks.

Don't even think for one second that I'm some rich brat who thinks the world is doomed if she doesn't get the limited edition 'A La French-I-can't-even-pronounce-the-name perfume'

I have two hard working parents, a middle class home, three best friends I love, decent grades...Okay, the last one was a lie.

The thing is, I'm totally grateful and satisfied with my life.

But not happy. Why?

Cause I'm the side character. In every story you see a beautiful and massively insecure girl, a boy with more issues than the New York Times, perverted jokes, almost kisses, slutty bitches that wanna steal your man, drama, the best friend consoling the girl and smacking some sense into her and voila!

You've got the 'it' story that's probably going to attract 100K readers.

But what about the best friend? The girl that threatens to kick the guy's balls if he ever hurts the girl? The girl that comes with tubs of Ben N Jerrys to console the heroine? The best friend that somehow, one way or another, helps to get the guy and the girl together?

No one remembers her after the story. She's just the side character.

I thought I was happy being that.

Until he came. Ryder Woods. Epitome of bad boy.

Always wears leather no matter if it's hot summer or freezing winter, has a Greek God body, (which I totally saw by accident, ahem) rides a bike to school and glares at anything and everything at a three mile radius including my ice cream. (I mean, who does that?)

I wasn't supposed to feel anything for him. Guys like him are meant for good girls like my best friend Chloe, not for girls like me who like to take the lyrics 'swinging on a chandelier' a bit too seriously. And I was hell bent on making that match happen, because isn't it the duty of every best friend like me? That's what books tell me.

So imagine my surprise, while wingman-ing for my best friend, I end up having butterflies.

It's not the main character's story you'll be reading this time. Sorry, but you'll have to do with me.

The side character.

Because is it so bad that for the first time in history the bad boy isn't falling for the good girl but rather for the good girl's party crazy best friend?

Author's Note-

What you will never find this book -

1. An awkward shy good girl. Cause god knows Wattpad already has enough of them.

2. Slutty bitches that have no other life goals than just stealing your man for no apparent reason at all. Cause again, Wattpad already has tons of them.

3. A girl that always stutters infront of everyone but is suddenly super sarcastic and stands up only before the guy.

4. I hate romanticizing abuse.

5. I'm a firm believer of NoMoreBullying and StopSlutShaming

In the words of my book reviewer, "It's a romance-comedy where she has taken the high school cliches floating on Wattpad and gave them a completely different point of view. I'm not saying it's completely cliche free but instead of breaking the same old cliches she has done a damn well job in giving them a fantastic makeover instead."

It's not the main character's story you'll be reading this time.

It's the side character.
