(Corpse's POV)

After a few more games we decide to call it a day. I look down at Lexi who is tracing different shapes into my chest. "Okay I'm going to FaceTime Sykkuno. You can meet him now."

She smiles up at me. "Is he nice?"

"The nicest person you'll ever meet." The phone rings and I see Sykkuno's caller ID on my FaceTime call screen. I take a deep breath before answering it. We've only voice called outside of streaming so this would be the first time he's seen my face.

A bunch of 'What if's' come to mind and I quickly hang up.

Sykkuno: corpse? Is everything okay? I only saw your ceiling before you hung up.

Corpse: no..I'm freaking out..what if you don't like the way I look. And what if I scare you off? What if you never want to talk to me again..?

Sykkuno: Corpse never think that way..it makes me sad. I will never not want to talk to you I care about you too much <3

Corpse: Thanks Sykkuno..I think I'm ready to try again

Sykkuno: okay Corpsey. Whenever you're ready <3

Corpse: okay Bean Sprout <3

I take another breath before calling again. "Hi corpse!" I hear Sykkuno's cheery voice on the other end.

"Hi.." I slowly allow him to see my face.

"Hey it's ok corpse. You look amazing. Trust me!" He says.

"O-okay..I t-trust you"

"Now what did you want to tell me?" I take a deep breath and lower the camera a little more so he can see the small child in my lap.

He gasps and looks at me shocked. "Y-you have a kid? How??"

"Well you know the day I went to the grocery store?"

He nods.

"I found Alexis there and she was left by her parents. She let me take her back to my apartment and I grew attached to her so I adopted her." He looks at me a little shocked but then understandingly.

"You did the right thing corpse. I'm so proud of you." It's impossible to not blush.

"T-thank you Sykkuno.."

I hear some yelling in the background ant Sykkuno pauses his video and mutes his mic. After a few seconds he returns. Lexi went back to the living room to color.

"I'm back." He states.

"What was that about?" I ask feeling a little upset that Sykkuno was being yelled at.

"O-oh..that was my grandmother. I can't stay here much longer because she's moving into a smaller home and it means I have to leave. I've been looking for apartments but they're all really expensive.." he says looking down.

I wish I could help him but I just gave Lexi the spare room. He could stay in your room if he wanted to. No. He probably won't be comfortable with that.

"Have you considered being roommates with a friend?" I ask him.

"Yea..Rae doesn't want any more roommates. I don't know what to do Corpse.." I notice him pulling on his hair due to the stress.

"Hey hey hey calm down. It's alright. Let me see something really quick," I look on the computer for my apartment complex. "Right now I have a 2 bedroom apartment that I'm renting for about $2,000 a month. It says that a 3 bedroom apartment is $2750 a month. We can split the rent." He smiles a bit and I send a quick email to my landlord.

"That sounds like a great idea. I think I can manage my half of the rent." He says and gives me a smile.  The landlord gets back to me.

"Oh Sykkuno my landlord said we can move in to the apartment end of the week on Friday when the month ends. We are going to be roommatesssss" I'm so excited.

"Yayyyyyyyyy!!" I laugh at his response.

"You're too cute Sykkuno. Way too cute."

"T-thanks Corpsey."
