Chapter 47 | The Raid

Namjoon let in a deep breath as the building was just in front of him. He knew, he just knew that you were in the building. Call it a sixth sense or something but he knew you were there.

There were only two thoughts that filled his head. One, how he was going to hold you tightly once you returned to him. And two, how he should have checked the area you were suspicious of more closely. The building was hidden deep in the woods next to the road where Seunghee was found. If he had just been more thorough with his search, he would have been able to apprehend all of them before you got kidnapped.

The Hybrid Unit was a few feet away from the building, hidden in the woods. They didn't want to alert the A&A Company that they were there preparing to raid the building. The Unit was far enough that the people working for the company wouldn't hear their conversation but close enough to where the Hybrid Unit could maintain visual contact of the building.

Sihyuk was giving out the orders to the SWAT team who joined them only a few moments ago. Sihyuk and the SWAT team leader, Jung Yunho, were coming up with an effective plan that would ensure the arrest of all the people in leadership positions as well as getting you out of there safely.

Namjoon's teeth were clenched as he didn't move his sights from the building. He wanted to make sure no one was leaving the building. But a sudden strong smell that was very familiar snapped him out of his thoughts and he quickly turned his head to the origins of the smell.

"Jimin, what the hell are you doing here?" Sihyuk asked rather forcefully.

Jimin ignored Sihyuk and rushed over to Namjoon and punched the older Wolf Hybrid in the jaw. "Why didn't you tell me," Jimin growled in anger.

"You were in your heat," Namjoon stated matter-of-factly as he rubbed his now aching jaw.

"You still could've told me," Jimin growled, his anger making the other Hybrids in the vicinity whimper.

Namjoon shook his head. "I wasn't even thinking straight and I just finished my heat. There was no way I was going to tell you that Y/N-ie was missing during your heat, especially when you were the most attached to her."

"You should've told me," Jimin repeated, but Namjoon noticed that behind the anger in Jimin's eyes, there was regret and Namjoon understood. Jimin was guilty that he was the most vulnerable when you needed him.

"I'm sorry," Namjoon apologized.

With that one simple sentence, Jimin broke. He dropped to his knees and the anger coming off of Jimin disappeared instantaneously. Tears fell from Jimin's eyes, ones that he couldn't control.

"I need her here, hyung," Jimin sobbed.

"I know," Namjoon embraced Jimin as Sihyuk watched on with a heavy heart. "We'll get her back."

Sihyuk sighed as he walked up to the embracing couple. He made up his mind. Namjoon was compromised because he had just finished his heat and his mate was kidnapped. But the way he was handling himself, Sihyuk knew that Namjoon was trying his best to keep a level head and to not let his emotions get the better of him.

"Namjoon-ah," he interrupted the moment the two had. Then he motioned to one of the SWAT team members, who came running up to Sihyuk and the two Hybrids. "This is Shim Changmin. He's going to be in charge of the unit that's going to look for Y/N. You're going with him, but you have to make sure to follow his orders. That means, stopping if he says stop and leaving if he says go. Do you understand?"

"Yes, sir," Namjoon said with a firm nod.

"Good, get ready, we're going to start the raid soon," Sihyuk ordered. Then he turned to Jimin. "I'm sorry son, but you'll have to sit this one out. You're too emotionally compromised."

"I promise, I'll bring her back, Jimin," Namjoon promised once he saw that Jimin was going to object.

"Yes, sir," Jimin reluctantly agreed with a sigh.

"Let's get you into gear, Namjoon-ssi," Changmin said with a smile as he led the Wolf Hybrid away to the SWAT truck.

Once Namjoon was in the proper gear, Changmin quickly explained the route that they were going to take. They were going to follow the main raid team into the building then half will go up to the above-ground floors, while Changmin and Namjoon were going to go down with the group to the below-ground floors. Then they will search through every room and wouldn't stop until they found you.

"Understand?" Changmin asked.

"Yes, sir," Namjoon nodded.

"Good, because we're going in," Changmin spoke calmly.

Then the raid began.

"Damn it, Chanseong! I told you not to do anything reckless!" Taecyeon exclaimed as he rubbed his temple. "We were supposed to join forces. Naturally. Normally! Having the 'great vigilante of Hybrids' on our side would have added more weight and promise to our cause. But then you just had to abduct her didn't you?"

Chanseong rolled his eyes. He really didn't understand what was so wrong of him to take back what was (in his mind) rightfully his. He had you first. He was your first. You belonged to him. He just took the necessary steps to get you back. That's just it.

"Do you know what you've done?" Taecyeon asked, his voice cold.

"I just took back what was mine," Chanseong shrugged.

"No, you set us back. We're going to have to put a pause on our research just because you couldn't just wait," Taecyeon glared at the younger Hybrid.

"It'll be fine, the entire thing will die down in a few days," Chanseong was so sure of himself.

Taecyeon rubbed his eyebrow in frustration and let out a sigh. "No Chanseong," he groaned, "She probably has the entire Hybrid Unit out to look for her."

"No, Jaebum's going to make sure that the case doesn't get picked up," Chanseong reassured the older Human.

Before Taecyeon could argue against Chanseong's flawed logic, the alarm blared throughout the building.

"You were saying?" Taecyeon growled in annoyance.

"Fuck," Chanseong panicked as he rushed out of the room to get back to you. "Fuck, fuck, fuck!"

[Y/N]

Because of the lack of windows in my room and the lack of a clock, I had no idea how long I had been stuck in this hell hole. It could have been a few minutes or it could have been a few hours. But what I do know that is help is sure to come soon. That's the only thing keeping me sane in the empty room as I'm alert.

I don't know how long it had been since I'd last seen Chanseong or the Tiger Hybrid. Before I could worry about Chanseong or the Hybrid return, the alarm blared throughout the building. I couldn't help but smirk. They were here. It would only be a few more minutes until they found me.

But alas, the alarm was blaring and I was slowly getting a headache because of it. Waiting for minutes in the loud noise was causing my brain to pulse. Couldn't they have gotten a less annoying alarm for this rich-ass building?

Then the door opened.
