Chapter 11 | The Leopard Hybrid

A Human, dressed very well in a suit, walked into a facility located deep in the woods. He flashed his ID at the man standing at the front desk. The name on the ID was Kim Hyun. The man standing at the front desk nodded and motioned to one of the females to lead him to the restricted section of the facility.

Hyun walked into the restricted section, looking at the scientists that were busy doing their own work. With a condescending smile, he went entered the elevator. Straightening his suit jacket, he headed to B4.

Exiting the elevator, the man held his head high as he passed through the multiple big cages lining up against the walls. Each cage held a pack of Hybrids. All shivering. All in fear. All having at least one Bunny Hybrid.

Hyun wasn't there to look at the Hybrids, he was there to meet a specific Hybrid. The Leopard Hybrid, who was standing in front of a particular cage. He was tall and very well built. He had a calculating look as he looked at the five female Hybrids shivering and huddled together. A Cat Hybrid was glaring at him, not having a hint of fear in her eyes. She was the closest to where the Leopard Hybrid was standing. Her eyes didn't leave him.

"Captain," Hyun said, giving a small bow to the Leopard Hybrid.

"Nice of you to finally join us again, Hyun," the Leopard said with a smirk, finally moving his gaze from the female Hybrids onto the Human male. "Rehabilitation took a while, didn't it?"

"Just wanted some time off for my own sanity," Hyun said, clasping his hands together behind his back.

The Leopard hummed. "5th anniversary, wasn't it?" He asked.

"Yes, sir," Hyun responded, a slight flash of sadness could be seen in his eyes.

"Did you hear about the escape a few weeks ago?" The Leopard asked. Immediately, all the ears of the female Hybrids perked up.

"Yes, sir. Other members of the foot team were gossiping about it," Hyun said with a nod.

"There was a tip," the Leopard said, moving his eyes back to the female Hybrids as if to assess their reaction. "That InGo might have something to do with the escape."

There were two different reactions. The female Hybrids looked confused while darkness filled Hyun's eyes. The Leopard took note of the different reactions. Amusement filling him. He liked a good game.

"What is it you need me to do Captain?" Hyun asked, his voice full of venom. "Do you want me to retrieve the Bunny?"

"Just contact me when you find her whereabouts. Her name is Hyun Seunghee," the Leopard said with a smile that made him seem sadistic. "If you come across any InGo members, kill them."

"With pleasure, Captain," Hyun said returning the smile with an eerie smile of his own. With a bow, Hyun turned and headed back to the elevator. Excited about having a job to do from his time off. Not to mention, he had the go-ahead to kill any InGo members that he came across. That was a plus in his books.

"Oh, and by the way," the Leopard's voice caused Hyun to stop and turn back to face the Captain. "If you come across that girl, don't lay a hand on her. She's mine."

Hyun clenched his fist. A frown on his face. "Yes, sir," he said reluctantly. Then he turned back to the elevator. Frowning the entire time. He wanted revenge but he was under strict orders from the Captain.

When Hyun was gone, another Hybrid appeared from the shadows. He was well hidden, listening to the conversation. He was a Black Tiger Hybrid. He was dressed in a well-fitted suit.

"Do you think it's a good idea to send that Human to retrieve the asset?" The Tiger Hybrid asked, leaning against a wall.

"He's been with us the longest, you know that," the Leopard simply said.

The Tiger nodded but looked at the Leopard with an intense look as if to work out what was going on in his brain. "Well, all I know is that I don't trust him," the Tiger simply said, crossing his arms across his chest.

"Why not?" The Leopard scoffed.

"Hyun operates on revenge. That's the only reason why he joined us. His hatred towards InGo, which you used, might I add," the Tiger said firmly. "People- Humans like that are easily swayed. As soon as you do something that they think is offensive, they'll turn on you, like that," he said with a snap of his fingers.

"Then I'll just kill him. He's just a Human, after all," the Leopard said with a grunt. "I just need his expertise on tracking."

"I think it'll be quicker to just capture another asset, rather than looking for the escaped Bunny," the Tiger said with a shrug. "And if Hyun is able to recapture our escaped asset, then all the better for us. The more Bunnies, the better."

The Tiger saw that the Leopard wasn't easily swayed. He knew that the Leopard was stubborn. Very stubborn. "Besides, your unscented girl," the Tiger began, successfully capturing the attention of the Leopard. "You've been searching for her ever since that incident, haven't you?"

"Shut up," the Leopard grumbled.

"Oh my baby mate, you're all brawns and no brains aren't you?" The Tiger snickered, causing the Leopard to glare at the older Hybrid. "If she's going around protecting the Hybrids as you claim, then there is a high chance you'll run into her again if we go out searching for a new Bunny."

The Leopard's lips curled up into a smile, as he finally understood what the older Hybrid was saying. "I supposed you're right, as always."

"Of course I am," the Tiger scoffed. "Besides, I'm also interested in this unscented girl. She'll make a very good addition to our team."

"What makes you think that she'll want to join?"

"We have similar goals, my dear mate," the Tiger said with a smirk. "We both want a better world for Hybrids to live in. It's just that she just needs the extra push."

"In that case, I'll make sure to find a new target," the Leopard said, a wicked grin forming on his face.
