Chapter 7 | A Feeling
[Y/N]

It's been a few days since Namjoon asked me to try and get Seunghee to talk about her trauma. I did try and sit down with Seunghee to talk about it. Although she didn't tell me outright that she didn't want to talk about it, her body language told me that she was getting uncomfortable with the topic. I quickly dropped it and haven't spoken about that incident since. After all, I didn't want to rush her and have her re-live the trauma and go back on the progress that she had made.

Although she was still fidgety around both Human and Hybrid males, she has been getting used to going out to the park where there are a lot of people. She wouldn't initiate a conversation with people but she did nod her head 'yes' or 'no' to communicate.

Since it was a really nice day out, Hyojung, Seunghee, and I decided to go out to the park and have a picnic. Hyojung was showing Seunghee how to take pictures with her DSLR while I was lying on the picnic blanket. I loved lazing around and doing nothing.

"Y/N-ah!" Seunghee called out to me.

I opened my eyes and turned to face her, still lying down on my back. I heard a snap and saw that she took a picture of me. I smiled seeing her face light up with happiness. She looked at the picture and giggled. She turned the DSLR around to show me the picture that she took. To my surprise, she really had a talent for taking pictures.

"How did you make me look that good?" I asked causing Seunghee to giggle.

"Should we head home?" Hyojung asked us. "We've been out here for about three hours already."

"Should we?" I asked Seunghee.

Seunghee looked at Hyojung then me and nodded. We started picking up all our stuff and started walking home. Hyojung and Seunghee were holding hands as they were walking in front of me. I couldn't help but smile at the sight in front of me.

I froze. I could've sworn I heard grunting noises coming from nearby. I turned my head to a street, that was a little more worn down than the other streets in the city. There was a feeling in the pit of my stomach that something was wrong and that I should go down the street.

"Y/N-ah?" Hyojung called me out of my trance.

"Hm?" I responded, my focus still in the street next to me.

"Is everything okay?" Hyojung asked as she moved closer to me.

"Yeah," I said, unable to tear my eyes from the street.

Although I was responding to Hyojung, all my senses were focused on the street. Trying to hear something. That's when I heard it, a crashing sound.

Without waiting for Hyojung or even explaining the situation to Hyojung, I immediately went down the street, looking down all the alleyways lining the streets to find the source of the sound. I could hear Hyojung calling my name, but for some reason, I had a really bad feeling. It was something I couldn't ignore.

I stopped short when I saw that in one of the alleyways, two men were stomping down on a Hybrid. The Hybrid was curled up into a fetal position, using his arms to cover his head.

"What the hell do you think you're doing?!" I exclaimed.

The two men stopped midway of their beating and turned to look at me. One of them had a scar on his cheek and the other was bearded. Both of them wore a red hat with a strange symbol in the middle of it. The lower case Greek alphabet 'alpha' (α) was embroidered in white, inside a black triangle.

"What's a cute little girl like you doing in the alleyway?" The man with the scar asked me condescendingly.

"Y/N-ah, what the-" Hyojung began, but she froze when she saw the sight that I was seeing.

"Oh, now it's two cute girls and a whore of a half-breed," the scarred man smirked as he looked Hyojung and Seunghee up and down in a disgusting way.

I stepped in front of Hyojung and Seunghee protectively. Hyojung pulled Seunghee behind her, knowing that Seunghee was the one who was going to be the most affected by the whole thing. And sure enough, Seunghee shifted into her animal state. Hyojung quickly picked up the shivering Bunny.

"Unnie, call Sihyuk ahjussi," I said quietly under my breath, hoping that she was the only one who heard me. I heard her lightly hum in response. Then I heard her ran away from the alleyway.

"Aw, looks like your friends just abandoned you," he said teasingly.

"You know, I'll tell you what, I'll let you live if you just get the fuck out of here," I scoffed, rolling my eyes.

The scarred man looked at the bearded man. They were clearly communicating with their eyes. The scarred man nodded, and the bearded man to continue beating the Hybrid. The man with the scar came closer to me and grasped my jaw, tilting my head up to look at him. His face was disgustingly close to mine.

"You know, why do you care for that mutt?" He asked, with a smirk.

"He's my mate," I said, not looking away and facing him straight on.

"Oh yeah, sure he is," he scoffed at my lie. Then pressed his face even closer to mine. I could feel his breath on my lips.

In one swift motion, I grabbed his head with my two hands and headbutted him as hard as I could. I heard a crack, letting me know that his nose was most likely broken. He pulled away from me growling in pain and holding his now bloody nose. Kicking low, I swept his foot causing him to fall to the ground. I quickly mounted him and started punching his face.

"B-Bin!" He cried out.

The bearded man stopped the assault he was doing to the Hybrid and tackled me off of him, pinning me under him. I scoffed. Idiot. Using all my strength I rolled to the left. Now I was on top of him, and using my new advantage I grabbed his head with both my hands and slammed his head down into the pavement, knocking him unconscious.

I stood up and turned my attention to the first guy. The man with the scar. He was grunting as he stood up. He looked like he was still a little light-headed from my attack.

"Bitch," he spat at me, reaching into his pocket.

He took out a switchblade. I rolled my eyes. "Really? A knife?" I asked condescendingly. "What a coward."

"Shut up!" He yelled at me.

Then he started erratically swinging the blade around as he moved closer to me. I tried my best to dodge all his attacks but, with his erratic behaviour, I wasn't able to steer clear of them all and ended up getting a cut on my left arm and my right cheek.

"Motherfucker!" I hissed loudly. It had been a while since I was injured during a fight and it hurt like a bitch.

"You like that?" He smirked at me.

"Yeah, a lot actually," I said sarcastically.

He lunged at me with his blade. I had seen his move from the way he readied himself, so I was able to move to the right quickly. I punched his arm as hard as I could. He dropped his switchblade in growled in pain.

I quickly kicked the knife far away from the man. Then I did something stupid. I let my guard down. A rookie mistake. Using that to his advantage, he pinned me against the wall with his hands on my neck, squeezing tightly. I gasped for air, grabbing his hands trying to get some space between his hands and my neck. But he was squeezing me too tightly. Tears were forming in my eyes from the pain. I started seeing stars. My vision was getting blurry.

"Y/N-ah!" I heard a voice call out.

I saw the fuzzy silhouette of four men running towards me. I couldn't see clearly but one of the men punched the guy in the jaw, making the pressure on my neck disappear. I dropped to the ground as I gulped down a big breath of air, coughing, tears falling from my eyes. They were saying something but I couldn't quite make out what they were saying as there was a ringing in my ear.

It was then that I heard the sirens blaring around me. I looked up after I was able to steady my breathing, to see Sihyuk squatting to my right rubbing my back with a very angry look on his face. I saw the scarred man being lead away in handcuffs by Eunwoo who looked absolutely furious. Something that I've never seen from him before. The bearded man named Bin was being lifted on a stretcher.

"The Hybrid!" I exclaimed as I looked over to where the Hybrid was, but he was no longer there.

"He's going to be alright," Namjoon's voice caused me to look over to my left. He was squatting next to me. He, similarly to Sihyuk, had a very angry look on his face. "Jimin's taking him to the hospital."

"Oh thank god," I let out a sigh of relief, as I let my tense body relax. Then I shot back up, "What about Hyojung unnie and Seunghee?"

"Fine, they're all fine," Sihyuk reassured me. "I told them to go home."

"Ok," I said letting out my second sigh of relief. Then I looked at Sihyuk. "Did I kill him? The bearded guy?"

"No, he was still breathing," he told me.

"I don't know if I should be relieved or angry," I said honestly. I went to rub my shoulders but hissed from the pain in my left arm.

"We need to get that cut looked after," Namjoon said softly to me.

"I just need to bandage it," I shrugged, giving him a smile. Namjoon looked at me sternly. "Fine," I pouted. I wanted to argue but the aura around Namjoon was very strong as if to tell me not to go against him.

Namjoon rolled his eyes with a shake of his head. "Thanks," he said after a bit of silence.

"For?" I asked, tilting my head in confusion.

"The Hybrid that you saved, he was one of my mates," Namjoon said quietly. "His name is Hoseok. If you weren't here, I can't imagine what would have happened to him."

My eyes widen at his admission. "I just hope I wasn't too late," I said wincing as I lifted my left arm to pat his arm to show him that I care. He looked at me with a warm smile. I smiled back. "Ahjussi, I'm hungry," I said trying to lighten up the mood a little bit.

"Of course you are," Sihyuk said with a scoff. He helped me to my legs. "What are you hungry for? It's on me."

"Score!" I said excitedly, causing Sihyuk and Namjoon to chuckle. "Let's go for a buffet or something."

"No," Sihyuk said very quickly, causing me to pout and Namjoon to laugh.
