A week passed by, Hanabi is almost on her full recovered state but Chief Haruno forbid anyone to tell her about her loss. The chief wants to keep Hanabi ignorant of her clan's annihilation for it would be for the best.

One morning, Chief Haruno found Hanabi in her room packing up her things.

"Why are you packing up?" he asked.

"I have stayed here in your village for too long. It's time for me to go back home. I didn't even attend my mother's and cousin's burial," Hanabi replied.

"It would be too dangerous for you to travel alone. The assassins are guarding the pathways, waiting for you. If you're careless and they have acquired the Higanbana, then, your mother's death would be in vain," the chief said, trying to make her feel guilty in order to limit her. "Have some training with Hayabusa while I deliver a letter to your hometown and inform your grandfather about your safety here."

Hanabi was convinced for she does not want to disappoint her mother. Even her cousin was killed, it would be a burden for her if she acts stupidly.

"Okay, I guess I'll be staying here for a while," Hanabi decided which gave the chief the feeling of relief.

"Good," he responded. "Hayabusa is currently in his quarters two blocks away from here. You could go and pay him a visit."

Hanabi left the main house and went to see Hayabusa but she bumped into Kagura along the street.

"You've recovered," Kagura said. Hanabi simply nodded.

"Are you going to Hayabusa's place?" Hanabi asked.

"No, we're not allowed to see each other," Kagura replied sadly.

"Who said so? The chief?" the black-haired woman asked. Kagura nodded.

Feeling pitiful towards her, Hanabi asked," Want to pass a message to him? I'm on my way to visit him."

"No," Kagura replied. "Hayabusa told me to not contact him in anyway."

In disbelief, Hanabi made an outburst," What kind of man is he?!"

Kagura grabbed her arm and put a finger on her lips as she hushed her.
"Hayabusa must have a valid reason wanting to do that. I know him and I am sure, he'll come to me if he has set everything."

Hanabi looked at her with a poker face. "Do you really believe him that much? Honestly speaking, you're making yourself look stupid."

After saying that, Hanabi left her. Kagura felt enraged with Hanabi's statement, making her want to reveal her clan's pitiful death.

Hanabi was able to find Hayabusa at the house that the chief had described for her. She entered without knocking and flops on the couch, making herself feel comfortable. Hayabusa saw her upon his exit from the bathroom. He is topless and is only wearing a towel around his waist. His six pack abs greeted Hanabi who can't help herself but ogle at them. His wet hair added some sexy points on his already good-looking face.

"Damn, what a beautiful sight," she thought.

He gave her a glare and said, "What the hell are you here for?"

Hanabi got back to her senses and kept herself together.

"I bumped into Kagura just a while ago. Why did you shut her off?" she asked instead of answering his question.

"It's for the better," Hayabusa replied before entering in his room.

Hanabi looked around, the house looked nothing special, maybe because being simple is what makes Hayabusa, well, Hayabusa. His kitchen only has a small space, beside it is the dinner table which could only occupy four people. Then, the living room which probably has the largest space in the house. After a while, Hayabusa came out from his room, dressed.

"What did you come here for?" Hayabusa asked as he goes to the kitchen.

"Well, the chief said we should start our training again. I may not have fully recovered but the training may help. When is your free time though?" the dark-haired woman asked.

"I have my own training during the afternoon only," Hayabusa replied.

"Okay," Hanabi simply replied. She thought for a while before deciding to ask something. "Hey, is there something that I do not know?"

"You're bothersome," Hayabusa quickly replied which made the woman roll her eyes.

"I know that already, what I mean is, I feel like the chief is hiding something. My instinct says that something important is being hidden from me, do you have any idea?"

"What would the chief hide from you? Who are you? His daughter? Don't get carried away by his kindness," Hayabusa bluntly replied which almost drove Hanabi to the edge.

"You really have a sharp tongue, don't you? But when it comes to Kagura, you become the kindest man on Earth and hold her ,oh, so delicately. Then when time calls it, you'd say, 'I cannot marry Hanabi, I have someone else. Kagura and I are together'. Such an idiotic romanticist."

"So you were actually awake the whole time?" Hayabusa asked. "Is it your hobby to eavesdrop?"

"I was kind of awake that time, yes, I admit that. I just didn't show it because your talk was serious, do you think it's appropriate for me to open my eyes and say, 'Hey y'all bros, Hanabi awake here, yo!' I definitely don't want to do such thing," Hanabi replied while making actions to make it more dramatic.

Hayabusa just shook his head with her foolishness. He got two small bowls and two pairs of chopsticks and had set the table. He got a pair of the chopsticks and threw it towards Hanabi who has her back facing him. Hanabi immediately looked behind and caught them before they hit her face.

"Nice try," she said.

"Breakfast," Hayabusa said as he sits down. Hanabi hurriedly went on the table and was quite amazed. She smiled for her favorite was served, omelet.

"Back to Kagura, when will you plan to fight for her?" she asked before taking a bite on her omelet. "Hmmm, why so delicious?"

"I do not know," Hayabusa replied.

"I bet the chief has something to do with it, right?" Hanabi guessed. "So, what did he use to threaten you?"

"It's not actually a threat but more like of a responsibility. Just like what he said, it is for the good of the townspeople," the black haired guy replied.

"I remember he mentioned about something involving the blessing from Amaterasu and he predicted that you have been chosen by the goddess, am I right?" Hayabusa nodded in response. "Then, why don't we pinpoint someone else who is as good as you are. It's impossible that in this village, there is no one of the same level as you are."

Hayabusa puts down his chopsticks and looks at Hanabi in the eyes. "There is only one I know who is as good as I am."

"Great!" Hanabi exclaimed. She pointed at him using her chopsticks and said, "Then, make him your escape goat for you to be with Kagura."

"That person is Hanzo, if ever I made him as my escape goat which is impossible, you'd be tying the knot with him. You, marrying the person who killed your parents, that would be impossible as well, right?" Hayabusa said. He hurriedly flicked her forehead before she could stop him. "Eat your breakfast, lady."

Hanabi clicked her tongue before continuing to gobble her food. Just then, an idea comes into her mind.

"What if we'll make the chief believe that Hanzo is the one blessed by Amaterasu? He, himself, said that Hanzo may have found the Ame no Habakiri and unsealed Hanekage with the help of Amaterasu. I'll make up a story so we could stop the wedding," she suggested which seem to make sense.

"But why are you desperate to help us?" Hayabusa wondered.

"I simply have a good heart," she replied. "And I don't want someone like you to taint it with evil."

But inside Hanabi's mind, there is something she is secretly planning to do.
