LOGAN

"Olivia!" Elijah screamed after her as she disappeared down the hallway, both detectives hot on her heels. He jerked against the chains, rattling the handcuffs.

Logan pulled at his own handcuffs, straining until he felt warm blood trickle down his forearms.

Fuck, fuck, shit.

On the floor, the kid that Olivia has brought with her was also still struggling on the ground with the man in the ski mask. He was not having any luck either.

On the other side of the room, Jordan was slumped in her chains. She hadn't said anything in a while and Logan was starting to worry. Was she passed out?

"Elijah, do something!" Blake cried.

"Shut up so I can think!"

While the other two were yelling at each other, Logan heard him before he saw him. He would have recognized those heavy, huge footsteps anywhere.

Officer Mario Russo kicked down the door, the wood flying away from his heel in the same way he had taught Elijah to do when they were much younger.

"Don't move!" he shouted.

The man in the black ski mask immediately stopped trying to strangle Milo and jumped up, his own gun in his hands. He pointed it at Mario Russo.

"Stop!" his dad yelled at the man.

The masked man's finger squeezed the trigger. Logan squeezed his eyes shut.

Gunshots boomed, and the suffocating smell of smoke got sucked up his nostrils and into his lungs. Logan coughed violently and cringed against the wall.

"You! Hands in the air!"

Logan opened his eyes to see that their dad was still standing, his gun slightly smoking and now pointed at the boy on the floor. The man with the ski mask laid on the floor, blood flowing from his chest.

"What the fuck? Dad?"

Mario looked towards them. His eyes focused on Logan. "Son?"

Anger rose in his throat. "I'm no son of yours!" he spat vehemently.

"You're the one calling me Dad!" he retorted.

"What the hell are you doing here?" Elijah demanded.

"What the hell am I doing here?" he said incredulously. "Olivia called me here. Now what the hell are you doing here? And why are you chained up like that?"

"Never mind that," Elijah grumbled. "Get us down from here."

Mario Russo had been an abusive father, but he was also a dedicated police officer. Logan had always found it sickening that he could completely block out the two different personalities when he switched between them, but in that moment, he had never been more grateful that he didn't waste a moment in unlocking their handcuffs and pulling them off the hooks.

Logan rubbed his sore, cut wrists, squeezing life back into his fingers. He looked around at the dead man on the floor, then his brothers, then the boy who had come in with Olivia, then his dad.

And then Logan realized that something was very, very wrong.

"Why hasn't Olivia come back yet?"

What did you guys think of the third phone call?

I know it's a shorter chapter but don't kill me. Please?

For next time: Olivia's been running around trying to save everyone, maybe she deserves a little damsel in distress moment too?
