"I'm going to go get you something to eat." She tells me.

"I don't want to." I say like a little child.

"Look. I know you're worried and you should be since he's your husband. But all this worry isn't good for the babies. Besides starving yourself isn't going to do anything. So, I'm getting you something to eat."

Why does everyone keep telling me this?

-------------------------

Mom left about an hour ago, after making sure that I ate a sandwich. Ronald has been coming and going. William's operation isn't complete yet. Dr. Benjamin said that it'll take another half hour at the most.

"Cassandra." I look up to find Ronald walking towards where I'm sitting.

"Yes?" I ask.

"I need your opinion on something." He says.

"My opinion?" I question.

"Yeah. The press has caught on with what happened. We were quick about clearing the scene of the accident but apparently someone with a phone was quicker than us and posted some pictures on a blog. We're still tracing the person but our concern is that now people are asking questions."

"What do you need my opinion on?" I ask, confused.

He sighs. "I need you to tell me what William would want us to do. Would he want us to answer the questions or just ignore them."

"Why do you want to do what he wants? It's not like he's here." I tell him.

"I know. But this is his life. The incident is something that happened to him. And no matter how many things we disagree on. But I'm his father and I respect his opinion."

I groan still confused. "His opinion! Why do you need mine?"

"Because you're the person closest to him. And since you're his wife you should know what he would want." He explains.

Now, I understand. But this is the first time I'll have to make a decision on my own. Before this I always had Will to back me up but right now I'm on my own. I think it over for a moment and then reply.

"I think you should answer them since William is their prince and they deserve to know what happened as much as both of us do."

He smiles at me. "That's exactly what he would want."

With a little nod of his head he leaves me again but this time the moment he steps into the elevator, a door opens and a guard walks in.

"You highness, there's a doctor who would want to have a word with you."

I sigh knowing it's doctor Benjamin reporting about William. "Of course."

He leaves and a moment later the door opens again but the person who steps in isn't the doctor I'm expecting.

"Aunt Maria!" I exclaim.

"Cassandra! I just heard that you were here. I met your mother in the lobby but I had an appointment with a patient at that moment." She explains.

"Thank you for coming." I tell her.

"I just wanted to make sure that you were alright." She tells me, stroking my hair.

"I am. Thank you." I reply, smiling at her.

She sighs. "Life can be so cruel."

I nod. "Very."

After staying with me for a few more minutes and talking she stands up to leave.

"Is there anything you need?" She asks me.

I shake my head. "I'm good. Thanks."

With one last smile she leaves me but this time again the guard enters followed by doctor Benjamin. I stand up as he hands me a file, saying.

"We've moved Sir William to a private room. His operation went successfully. He'll regain consciousness in about an hour or two. If you like I could take you there."

"Yes, please." I eagerly nod my head, relieved to finally see him again.

We go one floor higher where guards are positioned all along the corridor just like on the previous level. He stops outside a door.

"Does the king know?" I ask him.

"No. But he'll be notified at once." He replies.

"Thank you." I say before pushing open the door and stepping in.

For some reason William looks better already. Maybe it's because they cleaned him up but he just does. He's hooked up to several machines. His left arm is in a cast and the buttons of his shirt are open revealing his chest wrapped in bandages.

I walk to his side and gently lay hand on his uninjured arm. I want him to wake up so that I can tell him how sorry I am for putting him here and making him go through all his pain.

"I'm glad that the operation's over." I jump at the sound of Ronald's voice.

I turn around to find him standing just inside the room, right next to the door.

"Me too." I agree.

"Exertion isn't good for you. You should probably go back and get some rest. The come back in the morning." He suggests.

I sigh and shake my head. "It's not like I'm going to get much sleep so I might as well just stay here. I'll me much more comfortable."

He thinks it over for a minute before nodding. "Alright, then. I have a meeting tomorrow morning. So, I'll check on him at around 2'clock tomorrow afternoon."

"Okay." I say as he closes the door after him.

I sit down on the chair next to the bed. It might not be very comfortable but I'm more than happy to just be here by William's side.

I put my hand into my pocket to realise that I must've left my phone on the couch where I was sitting. I go out of the room and ask one of the guards to bring it to me.

When he returns with it, I dial Helen's number and hold the phone to my ear. She picks up on the third ring.

"Hey Helen."

"Oh! Cassandra! I was so worried about you! The king just made a statement about Sir William's accident. How are you coping with it? How is he?"

"I'm fine and he's had his operation, so now he just needs time to heal." I reply.

"That's good." She says and then adds. "Why exactly did you call?"

I smack my forehead having forgotten what I meant to ask her.

"Could you please stop by tomorrow morning at the hospital with a couple of things?" Once she says, yes, I tell her what I'll need and then tell her goodnight before ending the call.

Someone knocks on the door and I ask them to come in. It's a hospital attendant with a blanket and a pillow in his arms.

"I was instructed to bring these here." He says setting them down on the couch next to the door.

I thank him and then he leaves. I visit the bathroom and splash cold water on my face. Back in the room I pick up the blanket and go back to the chair next to the bed. I curl up and cover myself with the blanket.

After staring at Will's face for a few minutes I start to fall asleep when I feel something vibrate in my lap. I feel under the blanket to find my phone. There's a message. And it is from the same number that sent me the video.

There is one sentence.

I have my eyes on you.
