William's P.O.V

I laid here looking at her sleep. Yeah maybe it's weird but I have some stuff I needed to put in place for today so I woke up early. Yet I couldn't help but notice how naturally beautiful she is. Her wild dark brown curly hair fanned out on the navy blue silk pillow her head  rested on. The morning sun leaked into the room casting a worm glow on her sandy brown complexion. She looked peaceful and I must say she has to be the most attractive African woman I have ever seen. From the first time I saw her at the diner in her town I was spell bound. The only word I could really use to describe her was angelic.

It was odd seeing that I'm usually attracted to women the complete opposite of Amora. Tall, tanned, bold and blonde is what usually catches my attention. Yet she caught my full attention with her shy smile and the ability to stay that innocent in a world so cruel. I hope our child takes her personality or maybe at least some of the good traits. I don't think if this situation happened with another woman my actions  would have been the same. I didn't know what or why I was captivated by this brown eyed woman but I had a lot of time to figure it out. Climbing out of bed I walked into the living room making the few calls I needed to make if I wanted this day to go smoothly and without error.

"Amora get up." I said standing at the door. Slowly her brown eyes fluttered open and a adorable yawn slipped off her pink lips. "Go take a bath somebody will be here soon to help you get dressed." I said before leaving the room. I had to pull myself together I didn't understand how she had such an effect on me after just one night when most women don't have an effect on me after much more.

The only reason I'm in this situation is because... well I honestly don't know. She offered to take care of the child herself and truth be told I hate kids. Okay maybe hate is a bit of a strong word so let's just say that I'm an uncle to my older sister's two kids and we don't really get along that well, the two toddlers that is. But I knew she wouldn't be able to properly care for a child also my mother would've castrated me if she found out I abandoned my child and the country's future heir in another country but most importantly a big part of me actually want to be a father to our unborn child. I wanted to have a family and I was only willing to do that with Amora that much I knew.

Walking into the bathroom I stepped into the running shower allowing the hot water to relax my tense muscles and temporarily wash away my worries. When I was finished with my shower and was buttoning up my white dress shirt my phone rang my mother's number flashing across the  screen causing me to groan.

"Good morning Ma." I greeted warmly.

"Don't good morning me boy! You missed breakfast why is that?" She asked with a attitude causing me to roll my eyes.

"I went out and decided to stay at one of the houses I'm sorry I got up a bit late." I apologized technically telling the truth.

"It's okay son. By the way you have a date with Sara just to talk things over later tonight." She directed which caused me to sigh.

"Ma I already have important planes for tonight." I informed her to which she just replied with an uninterested okay before ending the call. Resting my phone onto the nearest counter I finished getting dressed.

Amora's P.O.V

"Ouch!" I whined as the hairstylist blow dried my hair. I really didn't know what the big fuss was about and honestly thought it was all a bit too much.

"I'm sorry dear. We're almost done." He said in a thick Spanish accent. Once he was done with my hair he then tried applying make up which he ended up agreeing not to do after I begged for what felt like forever. I simply wasn't in the mood and felt as though I'd been tortured enough for the day.

"Okay now for the dress. I stole a peek and doll I must worn you it's gorgeous!" He said clasping his hands in a dramatic fashion.

He wasn't lying though the dress was beautiful. The white fabric  molded my body perfectly forming a deep 'V' shaped neck line which was accentuated by a high waist line where the fabric formed a band. Which perfectly camouflaged my stomach. The fabric gracefully flowed down my legs pooling around my feet. It was simply beautiful and was surprisingly my taste. Looking at my appearance in the mirror I looked like somebody. My once  wild curly shoulder length hair was now straight and held in a neat up do. The dress showed off the curves I had although they were nothing to talk about but I couldn't help but think why the hell am I dressed up this nicely this early in the morning?

"Amora could you hurry we're going to be late!" William barked from the other side of the closed bathroom door. Taking a deep breath I walked out of the room where he stood leant up against the wall. He looked nice of course in a simple white dress shirt paired with a black tie which matched his black slacks and matching black Italian dress shoes.

"You look beautiful." He said huskily causing my cheeks to instantly heat up.

"Thank you." I said softly before he took my hand leading me out of the house and into his red sports car which was parked out front. While driving down the empty road I decided to speak.

"I knew we weren't in the states. There was no need for you to lie to me." I informed him looking out of the window not looking at him.

"I'm sorry I just didn't want you to be angry." He said after a while which surprised me. He actually cared? I highly doubt. We had nothing between us the only thing holding us together was this unborn child.

I didn't quite know how to reply to his statement so I simply decided to remain quiet. We pulled up to what looked like a court house. Cutting the car off he walked over to my side of the car opening my door still not telling me what we were doing. Grabbing his hand I got out of the car and followed his lead inside. I felt like a lamb being led to the slaughter house. I didn't know why I was here and was too nervous to ask.  He seemed tense yet his calm expression never once faltered as we walked into the intimidating white building.

"Sit here I'll be back." He said before walking into a room which had a judges name engraved in the wooded door. I confirmed the fact that we were in a court house when I saw the words also engraved on the concrete front desk. Now the only thing I needed to find out is why the hell are we here.

                                                            🌹

There was this time when I was younger I wanted to know what my mother was getting me for my birthday so bad that I bagged her for days on end. And then she got tired of my nagging and told me that sometimes we think we want to know stuff but really some things are better left alone. We should know where to venture, not being anxious over anything because everything happens in due time. When she first told me those words I didn't understand them but now standing were I am I now do. I've pictured this day many times and never did I ever think it would be like this. I sat across from the grey headed man adorned in his black robe while he read our vows. That's why I was here. To get married.

Marriage is where two people who love each other come together and commit to spending the rest of their lives together. That was not William and I. I don't even know his last name much less for his date of birth. Basically I know nothing about the man I'm about to get married too.

"Amora Smith do you take William Nardovino as your lawfully wedded husband?" The judge asked me snapping me out of my mental rant. I guess the only reason he's doing this is because of the baby. A shot gun wedding...great isn't it! But I put myself into the situation in the first place this isn't about what I want anymore but what's best for my unborn child. Even if he doesn't love me our child deserves to come into the world and be able to have both parents which is something I didn't have and I intend on giving that to him or her.

"I do." I replied bravely even though my heart was beating oddly at this point.

"I now pronounce you husband and wife." He said smiling lightly.
                                                           🌺
Soon after signing the certificates we left the building and entered his car for the second time today.

"I'll get you a bigger ring I promise." He said referring to the stunning gold wedding ring where three square shaped diamonds sat along with countless others around it.

"Nothing is wrong with the ring why would I need a bigger one?" I asked looking at him for the first time after what felt like signing  my life away.

"It's just...I thought you'd prefer a bigger one." He said momentarily taking his eyes off the road a confused look finally registering on his features.

"What I would've preferred to know was your last name before you unknowingly dragged me to get married to you." I said instantly regretting my words. I don't know why but with him I feel free enough to say exactly what's on my mind. The only person I really ever had that with was well... my mother.

"True and I'm sorry love but I didn't think it was important at the time. I didn't think you were the type who would enjoy screaming my last name but you are free to call me whatever you want now that you know my full name and we're now married." He joked a  smile tugging at his lips when he saw the shocked look on my face. He looked sexier smiling although I didn't think that was possible but it  is.  He's always so serious as though he has the world of problems. He should smile more it's not like he has a country to run or something.

"I'll try too." He said. Did I just say that out loud????

"Want to go for lunch?" He asked the word lunch alone made me feel wheezy.

"No I'm fine." I replied  quickly which seemed to upset him.

"You know when you don't eat it affects the baby and I'm not a doctor but I'm pretty sure that's not good for either of you." He ranted which caused me to sigh.

"I do eat it's just that I'll eat later when I won't get sick." I defended myself which he just nodded too. Ugh he's so judgmental.

"I'll make a doctor's appointment." He announced after a long pause. When we got home.... I guess that's what I'll call it now. I went straight to the bedroom undressing once I entered changing into comfortable clothes and then climbing into bed. Curling up in the blanket I looked out the glass walls admiring the beautiful view.

"Amora." William said coming to stand directly in front of me.

"I have to go take care of somethings I'll see you later okay." He said leaning down and lightly kissing my lips.

"Okay." I mumbled against his soft lips  my heart going into over drive by his simple action.
Maybe just maybe saying yes wasn't that crazy.
