Thursday

BLAIR POV

Today was the day of my date with Joey. I wasn't really nervous, I didn't really feel anything. I was over Joey, I never really cared for him strongly anyway, not like I care- cared- for Wesley.

The past few days between Wesley and I have been the same, awkward and silent.

The day went by fairly quickly and now I was back in the room, trying to decide what to wear. I was alone, and I wasn't sure how I felt about it. Did I want Wesley to see me going on a date? Did I want him to be jealous?

I didn't want to use Joey. I wasn't using Joey. I tried to tell myself these things things but I knew deep down that this date with Joey wasn't one fueled by infatuation, it was fueled by my heartbreak and anger.

As I finished getting dressed, me in black leggings, a blue button up shirt, scarf, and leather jacket, I heard the front door squeak open. I looked up and saw Wesley pop in alone, much to my relief. He was whistling until he looked up at me. His jaw practically dropped, "Damn." the word slipped out of his mouth before his cheeks turned bright red.

It could not have been more awkward. That is until there was a knock at the door. Too stunned from Wesley's compliment, I was frozen, allowing Wesley to get the door. There stood Joey, dressed and waiting to pick me up.

Wesley immediately slammed the door, all traces of the sweet embarrassment gone from his face. His eyes were now dark, jaw tight.

"Why the fuck is that prick standing outside my door?" He asked angrily.

"Our door." I corrected. Wesley waved his hand, to excuse the fact that it was our room s a minor detail.

"Are you back together with him?" Wesley asked me.

I rolled my eyes, "Not that it's any of your business, but no. We are going on a date however." I said, making my way to the door.

"Like hell you are." Wesley stormed, nostrils flaring.

"Like I said Wes, none of your business." I was starting to get annoyed, yet also thrilled at his jealousy.

"It actually is my fucking business because you were my girlfriend, and I still love you." He said, looking me square in the eye.

My heart was hammering so loud that I could hear it pounding. Wesley stepped closer to me, "B, please forgive me." He said, his voice softened.

I wanted to, more than anything. But I was confused, Wesley hurt me, and I couldn't be pushed away then pulled back in, it was confusing. Wes's hand cupped my cheek, his thumb grazing my cheek gently. "Blair." He whispered.

I could feel myself starting to give up my resistance. But I shook my head, "Wesley I can't. I- I have to go." I said, quickly squirting out the door to Joey.

He was waiting, nodding when he saw me. "Hey, let's go." He said, throwing an arm around me. I looked back at the door, which was still closed, he hadn't even bothered coming after me.

"Yeah, let's go." I replied sadly.

---BREAK---

WESLEY POV

I could not believe what just happened. Blair and me, Blair and Joey. The thought of her with him, or with any guy for that matter made me downright sick.

I took the clock beside my bed and threw it at the wall, it smashed and fell to the floor, a piece cracking off. There was also a chip in the paint on the wall, but I could care less. The only things I cared about right now was Blair.

I was going to get her back, I was going to make things right.

First things first, I needed to find her, and get her away from that creep.

BLAIR POV

Joey carried on as normal, not even mentioning the door slamming incident with Wesley. He chatted about himself animatedly while I pretended to listen. I tried, but all I could think about was Wesley and what happened between us. His hand was warm on my cheek, and I never wanted it to leave. I wanted to kiss him so badly, but I froze, and I don't know what to do.

"Blair? Hello!" Joey said, waving a hand in front of my face.

"Sorry." I mumbled. "It's fine I was just-' he was cut off by another voice growled, "Getting the hell away from my girl." I gulped and saw Wesley standing by our table.

Joey laughed, "Your girl? I don't think so buddy. She's on a date with me, and I didn't think she was your girl when you had your tongue down that girl's throat at that last Kappa Delta Chi frat party." Joey smirked.

Shit. Things were going to be messy.

I looked up at Wesley, his face was red, and he quickly looked to me. "I know Wes. I saw you there with that girl." I said quietly.

Wesley's face softened, "Blair, I'm so sorry. I was drunk and upset and I' He started.

"She doesn't want some bullshit excuse Foster." Joey snapped.

Wesley's turned to Joey, "Shut the fuck up before I make you shut up." Wesley growled.

Wesley turned back to me, "Blair, I'm sorry." he apologized again.

I nodded understandingly, "It's okay Wes, we were broken up. I was upset too." I said.

He gave me a half smile, and then Joey stood up, "Why are you here anyway? We're on a date. Blair is he annoying you?" Joey asked. "I-' I was cut off by Wesley, "Okay look, you're done here now bud, now get lost." Wesley snapped.

"She dumped you bro, get the hint." Joey countered.

"We had some issues, but that's my girl. You are not allowed to just sweep in and hit on her." Wesley stood taller.

Joey scoffed, "I'm pretty sure it's a free country. I can do whatever I want." Joey taunted, shoving Wesley.

Wesley shoved Joey back twice as hard, so hard Joey fell onto his back. Wesley's hand pounded into Joey's face. I was stunned, "Wes stop!" I yelled. Wesley kept wailing on him, Joey only getting a few hits in edgewise.

Finally, other diners helped separated the two.

"I'm not property guys, and I don't appreciate you talking about me like that." I said. They were quiet, still too heated to speak.

"I can't be here to see this little man rage you two have going on." I said, turning away from the boys and their trivial behavior.

As I walked away, I finally new what I wanted.
