Londen clutched his bleeding leg, his hair covering his face as his arms trembled from the pain.

Jeen walked over with wobbly legs and a spinning head. Saule was leaned on the counter as if it was the only thing holding her up. On the floor behind her was Ona. Her face was streaked with tears as she whispered with a shaking voice, "ona's dead."

"She's dead." She kept saying it over and over.
"Hey, hey, hey." Roman said with a calming voice, trying to get Saule's attention away from her mother. "There's nothing we can do about it now. But there is something we can do for Londen to keep him alive." Roman tried to reason, his eyes pleading with Saule.
"Please."
She finally nodded after a couple more minutes.

Jeen fell into a crouch and immediately put her hands to the bullet hole that had blood pouring out of it.

Londen looked at her, his face contorted in agony.

"Roman, get me a towel. Get me anything." She ordered as her mind frantically formed a plan.

The bleeding was out of control, it was everywhere. It already covered Jeen's hands and her jeans as she tried to put pressure where the bullets had gone in. Londen made a sound that was a mix of words and a cry of pain, though Jeen was sure he said "I'm gonna kill him."
"Roman, hurry!" Jeen yelled into the kitchen, where Roman was running frantically around trying to find something that would put pressure on a bullet wound.
"Roll his pant leg up." Jeen told Saule.

She nodded jerkily and began rolling his pants up. Roman came running back, his slinkers squeaking on the white tiles.

He handed Jeen a white hand towel. She grabbed it and began wrapping it as tightly as possible around the wound.

"I need another one." Jeen said as she quickly analyzed how they were going to get out while keeping pressure on the wound. Roman got up and ran back to find another towel.
"Don't move, it's going to be okay." Jeen said as Londen began to become restless.
"Saule, keep him calm."

Saule nodded and took Londen's hand, keeping it from shaking. He calmed down some, his eyes blinking, as if he wasn't sure to close his eyes or not.

"How bad is it?" His shakily said. "I'm gonna kill him."

"Not too bad. You're gonna be okay. Who are you talking about?" Jeen asked.

"Sunny. He ratted us out. I should've known he'd find us out." He said, flinching midsentece. "Can I still walk?"He asked after a moment.
"Not at the moment, but soon. I think the bullet missed all your major arteries." She wasn't sure if that comforted him or not, but he nodded anyway.
Roman came back with three more rags.
"First help me with this." Jeen nodded her head towards Londen's leg. He came and squatted down beside her. "I need you to keep his leg elevated."
"Okay."
"Londen, this might hurt." Jeen said as she began to gently elevate his leg in the air, keeping it above his heart. Londen nodded shakily again, but seemed to handle it better than Jeen expected.
"Roman, hold his leg." Jeen said as she kept Londen's leg in the air, not letting go until Roman took her place. She grabbed one of the rags and began to wrap it over the bullet wound again. She wrapped the rag around two times before she pulled tightly and tied with as much pressure as she could.
"Keep his leg there." She told Roman as she got up, blood dripping down unto her shoes. She jogged over to the storeroom with the empty alcohol shelves. She looked around the room until she spotted a plastic fold up table leaning against the wall.
"Help me get him on here." Jeen said as she dragged the plastic table with it's legs folded up over. She slid the table on the floor right up next to Londen, then walked over to him and placed her hands under his arms.
"I think I can walk." Londen said, somehow smiling like he thought it was funny that Jeen suggested they carry him on a clunky table.
Jeen knew it wouldn't help his situation, but it would be faster than carrying him on a table. She looked at Roman, who shrugged.
"Only if you're sure you can." Jeen said uncertainly.

He nodded and began to push himself up into a sitting position, wincing in pain a couple times.

"I didn't know you were so interested in the medical field." Londen commented as he tried to relax.

"I wanted to be a doctor once." Jeen said, than turned to Saule, "Saule, do you know of any doctors near here? We need to leave before more of the Swarm arrive." Jeen said as she wrapped another rag around Londen's leg where the bullet wound refused to stop bleeding. He made a quiet groan that he had been trying to keep in.
"Sorry." Jeen said guiltily.
Saule sniffed loudly and wiped below her nose as she answered Jeen.

"I-I'm sorry, but we only just moved here not long ago and I don't know v-very many people." Saule answered quietly, her voice hitching at the end.

Jeen breathed in deeply, trying her best to think of what to do.

"There has to be someone. We can't go to any hospital, the Swarm will find us and kill us and even if we do manage to make it, they'll find out who Londen is and arrest him."

"They might not." Roman said, looking between Jeen and Saule. "A hospitals the only place we can go."

Jeen thought for a minute.

"No."

All three of them looked over at Londen.

"No, you can't take me to a hospital. You-you'll be caught." He sounded scared.

Jeen frowned and shared a glance with Roman.

"We haven't done anything wrong." Jeen answered, feeling confused, the only reason she didn't think going to a hospital was a good idea was because of Londen, not them. "What do you mean 'caught'?" Roman asked.

"I can't-" Londen began, but stopped himself. "Promise me you won't go anywhere in public. People are after you Roman, for-for what you can do. It's the reason the Swarm kidnapped you in the first place." He said.

Jeen still didn't quite understand.

"Just tell me what this has to do with my mother? Why did they take her?" Roman asked, his eyebrows drawn together.

Londen looked at him with a pained face.

"Just promise that you won't go anywhere where people can find you. Just promise." He said in a serious tone.

Jeen couldn't promise that. She had to get help from Enforcement, she had to report the horrible people that had kidnapped them. She couldn't just hide for some unknown reason.

"No, I won't promise you anything until you explain what you're talking about." Jeen said with a glare.

"Yeah okay, I mean I've got all the time in the world so..." He answered sarcastically.

Jeen hated to admit it, but he was right. They had to make some kind of decision of what they were going to do.

"I need a minute." Jeen said as she stood back up and walked into the kitchen.

There were so many things she didn't understand, and until she did she couldn't figure out how to come to a decision of what to do.

She leaned against the sink, a frown on her face as she took a few deep breaths. What did the Swarm want with Isabella? Roman she could understand, but not Isabella. Maybe if they had used Isabella as leverage to get Roman, then Jeen could see why they took her, but that wasn't it.

Jeen didn't even know if the Swarm had Isabella at all when it came to it, she heard no mention of her name, didn't see her once.

But she just somehow knew they had her, somewhere. It was the only place she could be. Why was she put in a room full of guns - an execution room, only to be taken out a moment later. It was almost as if the whole thing was being watched, like some sort of show.

She took in another deep breath through her nose as she came to a decision, which she wasn't very happy with.

She walked out of the kitchen and called for Roman to come and talk to her. He stood up and walked over.

"What?" He asked quietly.

"Maybe we should listen to him." She whispered.

Roman looked at her like she was crazy.

"Why?" He asked.

"I-I'm not sure. But this whole thing scares me. I think it's bigger than we know. If they have Mom, we have to get her back. Maybe the only way to do that is to work with someone who's part of the Swarm."
Roman looked at her for a long second, thinking.

"I forgot to tell you something that happened when we were separated - the second time."

Jeen frowned and leaned in so Londen couldn't hear them.

"What? What happened?"
"They took blood samples from me."

"Why would they do that?" Jeen whispered, mortified.
"I have no idea. But I think we'll be safe if we stay as far away from the Swarm as possible." Roman answered.

Jeen nodded while biting her lip.

"I think he'll tell us more if he trusts us more." She whispered, thinking of Londen.

Roman slowly nodded.

There were a lot of things Jeen didn't understand at the moment.

But for now she had to make a decision.

Roman didn't need any help supporting Londen, actually he could've carried him effortlessly with one arm, but Londen obviously didn't want to be carried. It took a few seconds for Londen to gain balance before Roman began to help him out the door. "How many people live on this street?" Londen asked as they reached the storeroom. Though none of them were paying any attention to what he said.

Jeen tried not to stare, but she couldn't tear her eyes away from Ona leaning up against one of metal rolly shelves.

Her whole torso was stained in blood and her eyes were glazed over. Tears streamed down Saule's face as she her eyes landed on Ona.

They all stopped walking. Jeen closed her eyes.
"You can't stay here, they'll come back. They won't let anyone get in their way-" Londen began to say.
"I know. Okay? I know what they're like." Saule snapped, her voice thick with tears.

"Let's just go. I-I can't-" Her voice cracked and she collapsed unto the floor, her back shaking with sobs.

Jeen wasn't sure how long they stood there, but she knew they couldn't stay there any longer. Saule was still sobbing against her step-mother's body, and the three of them still standing there silently.
"Saule, we have to find a doctor soon." Roman said quietly, speaking Jeen's exact thoughts.
At first she didn't think Saule heard him, but after a few more seconds her back straightened up, the sound of weeping turning to hiccups.
"Okay." She said it so quietly Jeen almost didn't hear her.

Then she stood to her feet, walking shakily towards the door. Jeen took it as a sign to follow her.
"So where are we headed?" Roman asked, only needing one arm to support all of Londen's weight.

"It's a surprise." Londen answered.

"Really..." Jeen said suspiciously.

"How do we get there?" Roman asked Londen as they stepped into the alleyway.

"We take a transfer." Londen answered plainly.

"That's not exactly what I was asking." Roman said.
