She was sitting at a bank in a dark forest. Staring at the lake admiring it's beauty. She heard the twig sound behind her and turned to find the same white wolf, she's been seeing in her dreams. It is a dream. She always wonders who that wolf might be but with time she knew it was her mate. The wolf within Hope, who never got the chance to admire her mate. The wolf came to her, snuggle up to her chest as the brunette petted it's back. They were in deep silence just staring at the nature in front of them. It was the place where she found herself in peace. She always thought when she would die she would come back to this place in afterlife. But at the moment she was in peace even if it wasn't real...

Josie woke up with a knock on her door. She got up on an empty bed beside her. Lizzie wasn't there. They talked about the past yesterday and fell asleep. It was good to share everything with her sister. She still felt the heaviness in her chest like something still need to be out.
She got up and opened the door only to find the saccubus standing there.
"Rise and shine sleepyhead" She let herself in as Josie closed the door and turned to her.
"What are you doing here, it's still 9 in the morning" Josie asked her
"Exactly and you owe me a tour" Sophia replied. "I still didn't know my ways around here" Josie sighed
"Okay let me take a shower first" She said grabbing her clothes from the closet and went to the bathroom.

Sophia sat there for a while and look around the room and between the one of the drawers she find Josie's old journal. She always respected her privacy but she wanted to know what did she wrote on her journal. She took the journal and laid on her bed opened to read it.

Dad took us to the planetarium, it was all amazing to know about the different planets but we are fourteenth, we already read about it....

Penelope got here few weeks ago. She was really nice with me. She always tried to flirt with me and I won't lie that I don't like her flirting. It's just that I've tried to be friends with Hope but she didn't even appreciate it. She always poked at us and Lizzie made it very clear that we do not be friends with her. It means I would never get a chance with her not that I was expecting it before maybe I should try it with Penelope. She told me she like me and I think I like her too...

Sophia was in the middle of her diary entry when she heard the bathroom opened and the brunette walked in her white top and dark blue skirt. She tied up her hair in a bun. When she noticed her journal on Sophia's hand she snatch it from her.
"What about respecting my privacy"
Sophia laid back over the head board
"I was just curious..." She replied "You had a long crush on the tribrid who happens to be your mate"
"I told you we won't talk about her" Josie put the journal back on her drawer.
"Okay I won't" Sophia said while getting up from her bed. Josie looked up to the mirror making sure she was ready. Sophia took the nail paint from the table beside her and started to paint her nails
"I never had a mate Josie... I just wanted to know how does it feel to have one" Sophia asked her and Josie turned to her. Sophia move closer to the brunette holding her hand
"And I still can't believe that someone wouldn't want you as amazing and beautiful as their mate" Josie looked down. She also asked this questions to herself.
"Aren't you late for your tour?" She asked changing the subject.
"Did you like this color?" Sophia asked showing her nails. Then look back at the brunette's serious face
"Oh yeah... lead the way" She gestured Josie to move out. Once they got out of her room Josie asked her
"Have you seen Lizzie? I didn't find her this morning"
"No I don't" Sophia kept glancing at her nails.
Josie show her around the campus. The classes, cafeteria, gym. They went out to the old mill where they saw Landon and Rafael hanging out. Sophia looked at Landon and he turned to look at her at the same time. Sophia wave at him and he just nodded.
"He looks nice'' Sophia said gesturing at Landon

"It's Landon, Hope's boyfriend" Josie tell her
"He has a girlfriend..." Sophia exclaimed.
"You can't just pick someone around here for a night Soph"
"Breaking someone's relationship is kind of my thing..." Sophia smirked glancing back at Landon.
"No you won't... you need to learn and control your powers before you do something rash"
"Are you jealous sweetheart that I always get laid and you don't" Sophia asked Josie.
They were talking when Rafael approached them. Landon just glanced at her and went inside the campus.
"I heard you're back" Josie turned to looked at him
"Raf..." He came forward to hug her and she hugged him back.
"I'm glad to see you again"
"Me too" She smiled at him. He then looked at Sophia and just kept staring at her and Josie knew what the saccubus was trying to do.
"I will see you later" She said grabbing Sophia and drag her back to the school.
"I told you, you can't just do that here"
"I need to feed Josie unless you tell me some bar near here"
"Fine, but make sure don't get in trouble this time"
"Aye aye captain"  Sophia mocked her. Sophia get out of the school campus to find a bar. Josie goes back to her room and Lizzie wasn't there. She went to find MG as they still haven't got the chance to talk as well.

Lizzie went to the Mystic Grill to talk to her dad about the ascendant she found the day when Triad attacked the school. Alaric always deny her saying that it has nothing to do with the merge. She didn't find her father there this morning, who was now the headmaster of Mystic Falls High. She was coming back to the school when she heard a familiar voice behind her.
"Can we talk Lizzie" It was the tribrid.
Lizzie turned at her "What. Are you stalking me?'' She asked the tribrid
"No. I came here to check on the portal" She replied "I just want to talk"
"You lied to me for months Hope. I thought we were doing better as frenemies but you ruined all your chances when you rejected my twin" Lizzie exclaimed at her.
"I wanted to tell you okay but your..." before she could say anything they heard the rambling in the portal and another monster.
"Ugh... not a good time" Lizzie groans. A woman wearing mid 80s dressing came towards them.
"Who are you?''
"I'm the keeper and this is gonna be a lot easier than I thought. Welcome to the game" The bracelet in her hand glows and she disappeared.

Josie find MG at the docks. He was sparring with Kaleb. That's new.
She watched them for few minutes. They both stopped when they turned to look at her.
"Look who finally decided to show her face" Kaleb said when he pull out his water bottle and drink it. Josie just smiled at him
"Can we talk?" She asked looking at MG and he nods.

"So what happened?" She asked MG. He was quite for some time.
"Lizzie was very upset when you left and she blamed this all on your mate" He started "Which is Hope, and she didn't knew that because you didn't tell anyone and I just knew because I saw you guys back there..." he rambled.
"Where are you getting at it..." She didn't wanted to be the reason why her sister broke up with her mate.

"She never wanted me Jo. She was just trying because she was also scared of the rejection." MG states.
"What do you mean?" She didn't like where this was going.
"Seeing you broken and in pain she was so scared if she would reject the mate bond the same thing would happen to her. Hell... I was scared too" He looked down.
"When you left she told me she would try to make it work and I was beyond happy to heard that" He chuckled reminiscing the past memories.
"The longer you got closer to your mate you'll felt their emotions as well and she knew I didn't tell her about Hope this whole time" He took a deep breath "That's when she met Sebastian and because of the distance between us she developed feelings for him. He manipulated Lizzie to be with him he told her that I'm hiding something big from her and she confronted me to tell her about you and Hope. I think that's when she decided to bring you back"
"But she said Sebastian isn't real"
"That's what I thought, but two days ago we found out he is a vampire desiccated in a coffin over 500 years and he did this because Lizzie is his mate"
"Wait.. you're saying my sister has two mates"
"Basically yes"
They went inside the campus and stopped at his track
"You shouldn't be surprised your mother had two mates too"
"Okay... wait... then Lizzie doesn't know that Sebastian is real"
MG nods and Josie sighed. They looked at the halls where the students were decorating the area
"What about all this" Josie asked him looking around her surroundings.
"The decade dance"

Hope and Lizzie stuck at the game. Lizzie was mad at the tribrid because she made her twin suffer but the past months wasn't easy for her as well and Lizzie noticed that too. She just thought it's because of the discovery that Hope is the only weapon that could destroy malivore and her falling relationship with the phoenix boy. They developed a friend/enemy relationship after all the events that happened in the past months. She was beyond pissed that Hope has been lying to her all this time while she knew Lizzie was not doing very well after her twin left.

They met the keeper at the clue store where she told them that one of them had to take her place as the keeper of the game by wearing her bracelet and the game would continue or her pet would kill them in the game. They denied and decided to make it out by their own.
"At least we finally made it out of the lame town square. No thanks to you Captain almost stepped on the land mine again" Lizzie taunted her
"You killed us with a hair dryer. Never forget" Hope said "The school's up this way" She pointed at a direction
"If only there were something to talk about on the way. Some burning question, mysterious choice that demanded an explanation" Lizzie state
"Okay fine. I would have told you that but I met your dad and confessed everything to him. He wasn't pleased but he told me there was no point on telling anyone else what happened between us" Hope replied.
"What is wrong with you. You literary broke my sister Hope. How could you even did this to your own mate?" Lizzie shouted at her
"Look I know it seem kind of..."
"Dumb. Selfish. Controlling"
"Painful"
"Now that's ironic" Lizzie scoffs.
"I thought what I was doing is better for her. I couldn't let her get hurt because of me and with everything happening around, the monsters, malivore. I thought she was better off without me" Hope said in a sad tone.
"But you did hurt her"
"And I regretted it every second of my life" Just then they both hit by a dart.
"We are not done with this conversation" Lizzie said before they passed out and the game starts again.

Sophia roamed wound the town when she went to a bar near the town square. She was analysing her victim for the night and she found one. A curly haired muscular man, who tried to flirt with her. It was already eight in the evening. She remembered Josie's warning but when did she ever listened to the witch. They share share few drinks together. He was totally under the saccubus control as he eyed her up to down. Sophia smirked his action.
"Maybe we should continue this somewhere else" He told her drunk. Sophia smiled wickedly and they went out.

She was making out with that guy and he was taking full advantage of her as his hands roam around her body. Sophia felt lost to control her hunger as she started to sucks the energy from him. His survuval instincts kick in as he started to get panic and tried to move away but Sophia had her held on him as he couldn't move. She would've dried him in few minutes when she got tackled by a familiar figure. She looked up to find Jed, the alpha of the Salvatore School. He helped the man to get up in his feet and asked him to ran away.
"You idiot..." She fumble at him angrily.
"You almost killed him" He looked at her suspiciously "What are you?"
"I don't have to answer you" She hissed at him.
"Didn't know Josie brought a serial killer with her" He tell her.
They were arguing when they heard a loud growl behind them and found man standing there. The black veins appears and his eyes became blood red. He was a vampire who tried to attack them. Jed dodged his attack. Sophia grab his hand and they ran to a safe place. Sophia texted Josie as she was her only friend here.
"Do you think you're faster than a vampire?" He asked the girl.
"Sorry for trying to save your ass"
Just then the vampire came in front of them as he threw Jed back and tried to grab a hold on Sophia.

Hope and Lizzie wandered in the game finding their way out.
"I get it, you have every right to be mad at me" the tribrid said the blonde twin "but I care about her too. More than you think"
"Well you have a really opposite way of showing it"
"I'm being the only loophole to stop malivore I'm going to do the right thing... I just want apologies to her before I make my decision"
"You seriously have that martyr complex that you're sacrificing everything including my sister" Lizzie was getting irritated with the tribrid's response.
"I want to do right every mistake I've made and even if it includes me sacrificing myself to save everyone I care about."
They dodged the every obstacles and finally get out of the town square
"Come on, the school should be right through here"
They both get back to the town square again, where the game began. The keeper approached them again asking them to take her place which was the only way to escape the game. They both argued about that and wanted to sacrifice themselves. Lizzie hit Hope on her head making her passed out on the floor. When she went to take the deal only to find out she won't be able to save her friend so she broke the bracelet and the game has no keeper.
When Hope woke up she found the minotaur coming on her way she grab a stick and break it to half, ready to fight but the minotaur hot hit by an arrow and died. Lizzie killed the monster with the help of a game member. They both make it outside the game releasing the keeper with them as well.

When they came back they were back at the town square. They were walking back to the Salvatore School when they heard a very familiar voice screaming.
Josie.
They ran past to the alleyway where they found Jed and Sophia passing out on the floor and a vampire grabbing Josie by her neck. Inches away from biting her. Hope immediately casted a spell to made the vampire fall on the ground. Lizzie went to help her twin get up when fought the vampire. She was beating the hell out of him. When Lizzie literally have to grab the tribrid from hitting the vampire.
They called Dr. Saltzman who arrived shortly after they called. Jed and Sophia woke up until then. Josie helped her friend to get up and the tribrid didn't like the closeness between them but she stayed silent.
"I came to meet a family friend at the grill when I found her sucking that man's life" Jed described everything to his old headmaster.
"I appreciate it Jed you should go back to the campus" Jed just nodded and walked away. Hope came in front of them after locking the vampire in the back of the trunk.
"I enchanted the chains, he won't able to wake up till tomorrow" She informed him. She glanced between the saccubus and her mate.
"That's what I was asking for your help dad. Sophia is a saccubus" Josie states.
"You should really talk about your personal space" The tribrid was staring at the saccubus not caring if anyone would notice her jealousy.
"Which is what actually?" Sophia asked
"You put Josie in danger" She hissed at her
"Oh so dramatic" Lizzie glanced between both of them.
"Girls, focus" The headmaster interrupted them "Why did he attacked you Sophia?" He asked the saccubus
"Dad I would explain you everything when we get back to the campus" Josie requested her father. Alaric agreed and they all went back to the Salvatore School.

Jed was walking back to the school campus when he bumped into someone but the man didn't stop he kept walking away. Jed only able to take a look at his eyes which was ocean blue. He ignored it and keep walking to the Salvatore School.
