Flashback...

Next day the twin wake up with a knock on their door only to find their father. He asked them to go on a trip to Maple Hallow because Alaric got slugged last night and threw the urn into the river the previous night. He also noticed that Josie seemed to be off and more like she had cried. He asked his daughters about what happened but Josie didn't say much. She knew Hope would go with them to find mystical artifact. She denied his request saying that she wasn't feeling well but she did insisted to her sister to go with them so she couldn't missed a chance of her play the hero role in a mission. Lizzie argued with her, asked the brunette about the events that happened yesterday night but Josie didn't tell her which got her mad and she stopped asking and finally agreed to went with her dad. The brunette saw the concern look in his father's eyes and she assured him that she needed a rest and she would be fine at the school campus. Alaric hesitated but agreed to leave her behind as finding the urn was important and it was his fault it was misplaced from the Salvatore School.

Hope, on the other hand was broken too. She felt the sadness and sorrow radiates in their bond. She felt that too. She was just trying to be strong in front of everyone. Landon asked her what happened to her but she didn't tell him. She had a beautiful and understanding relationship with the curly haired boy. If she would have told him the truth Landon would understand her no doubt. But she couldn't, after all it was all her fault. She told him she needed some alone time and he didn't object her. When the headmaster inform her about their current situation on the urn she thought it was a good distraction for her. She would have time to think about all of the previous events the night before that. She agreed to go on a search trip to Maple Hallow. There probably would some kind of mosters chasing after the artifact at least she got to get out her frustration on them.

Josie slept for long time trying to stay unconscious so that she didn't think about her mate and the way she rejected her. She kept turning side to side but she couldn't fell asleep as the every memory was itching her through the mattress she was laying on. She sighed in frustration, she was feeling a roller coaster of emotion and currently all she could think about was her sister being right about Hope.

Lizzie have told her the tribrid would never be their friend but despite of her best efforts she always felt attracted to her, now she knew why. She was her mate. She couldn't be a stupid school girl who spent their whole time on thinking about their exes and crying in their room. Even though she wasn't in a relationship. She had to get over it and move on. But how could she move on because Hope wasn't just a crush, she was her mate and it was hurting her soul as the rejection was just the beginning of the miserable life she would have in the future. She couldn't go through that. She needed to find a way to end this before it become something more destructing to her.

She got out of bed and took a shower. She got ready for the day ahead of her as most of the students were leaving for the spring break. She made her way to the library where she saw her best friend in the corridor. MG. He seemed to go to the twin's room but he find the brunette at the midway.
"Jo" he approached her "I thought I should check up on you, how are you?" He asked the siphoner. Josie gave him him a slight nod
"MG..." She remembered crying in his arms when she break down from the rejection. He was there to help her and it was him who brought her to her room
"I'll be good" She masked a fake smile "thanks for yesterday though" She cleared her throat even thinking about yesterday constrict her chest "I didn't know what I'd do if you weren't there"
"Anytime Jo. You know you can talk to me... I still couldn't believe what i heard yesterday was true" He shook his head in disbelief "I'm so sorry I never thought Hope would have done something like that..." Josie interrupted him
"Did you tell anyone about her?" She asked him not wating to people know about her and the tribrid.
"No"
"That's good cause I don't want anyone to know about what happened between me and .... her" she tell him. He just stared at her
"You gotta tell Lizzie at some point she was worried about you and..."
"No MG you can't even tell Lizzie, she already hate Hope enough that if she would find out she would definitely try to kill her"
"Lizzie... she is..." MG stuttered. Josie eyed him up and down as he sighed and tell her
"She's my mate Jo and I won't be surprised if she would find out on her own" Josie's lips formed a small smile at the new information her friend given to her. No doubt why her sister acting weird earlier around the vampire boy because they are mates.
At least one of them got the right partner.
"Did you guys... you know talk about it?" She asked
"I was going to talk to her. Never got the chance" he replied "I think she is avoiding me on purpose"
"She was planning her royal date for her soulmate ever since we were five" the brunette tell "She will come around"
"Did she not want me?" He feared if Lizzie would do something to him. Talking about rejection remind her about Hope. The girl she fell for, her mate.
"Lizzie wouldn't do that. She isn't heartless like..." She didn't finished her sentence, her heartbeat increases which couldn't go unnoticed by the vampire in front of her. MG put his hand on her shoulder in order to comfort her but she back away
"I need to go" She said as she walked away from the vampire.

Her heart beats at an increasing pace, her breathing became heavy, she felt she was losing oxygen. She kept moving but soon after she felt the burning feeling inside her. Growing from her heart to spreading all over her body. It was becoming hard for her to open her eyes. She stumbled at her steps. Before she register the amount of pain she was suffering she felt in the aroma of the darkness and strong arms holding her.

She opened her eyes to found herself in the infirmary. MG walked in soon after she woke up.
"You had a panic attack they put you on meds" he informed her
"I didn't know what is happening to me" She fumbled at him. Tears were starting to form in her eyes
"Is this because of what happened last night?" He asked
"I don't know... I don't know what's wrong with me" She burst out crying "Is there something wrong with me...?" MG shook his head "Josie.."

"Then why no one wants me... maybe because I'm doing something wrong... or am I not good enough?" She was sobbing hard as MG pulled her in a hug making soothing circles on her back
"You're the most kindest person I know" he tell her
"Then why did she rejected me... I loved her... I've always loved her ever since we were kids..." She replayed all the memories she spent in thoughts of the tribrid. Starting from the day they met her, her tried to became friends with the tribrid, when they found out she is Mikaelson, Lizzie's dislike to the tribrid which she had to follow cause she didn't have another choice, Hope never showed that she would be her friend either way still she always admired the girl and each day she fell for her not knowing it would evolve as something beautiful or something painful.
"She didn't even give me a chance... Why?..." She chocked on her words as she held MG tighter crying. She felt her pain numbed.
"I can't answer you that Jo" he whispered. Josie held him and soon she fell into the slumber as the medicine reacted.

She threw the vampire backwards as he hit the bars of the transition cell. The tribrid was pissed.
"Let's do this again..." She said as she stood in front of him "Why did you attack her?"
She didn't sleep last night. What the brunette girl told her kept her awake. Whenever she closed her eyes all she could think about the certain brown eyes, her brunette hair, her soft lips which she wanted to kiss so badly. She didn't admired her mate so closely and for the past months she didn't even saw that beautiful features of her mate for a long time. She knew she royally screwed up when she rejected her but now that her mate was in front of her she asked her to maintain her distance from her. Josie basically asked her to act like a stranger. To her own mate. How could she didn't felt the spark between them. It was still there, so does the mate bond.

And then there is Sophia. Josie's so called new friend. Who doesn't behave a like a friend at all. She never liked her blonde hair or her face when she made a joke and Josie laughed at her. In all honesty she was jealous of her because she was close to Josie in a way she wanted herself to be. Lizzie offered her to figure out the deal with the saccubus and why she got a target on her back which also put Josie in danger. She could find her answers directly from the vampire they kept earlier.

The first thing she did in the morning was going to the transition cell after her quick shower. It was still early at 5:30 am. But she needed her answers and she couldn't fall asleep knowing her mate got a target on her back. When the vampire woke up she asked him once as he refused to say anything. She was still pissed at him because of his action towards Josie when he pin her to the wall trying to feed on her. She was fighting with her wolf to took control of her body as her wolf wanted to tear him apart piece by piece.
"Even if I tell you I'll be dead any way" he spat at her. He tried to get out of his cell and vamped out to reached to the basement gate to escape but just then he got hit by a barrier. When he turned the tribrid was in front of her, she threw him back at the cell.
"What do you want from her?" She asked him again. He stood on his feet.
"I live for two centuries... your filthy attempt won't kill me" he hissed at her showing his canines.
"Said to a tribrid" her eyes turned yellow as she began to chant a spell which make the vampire fall on his knees while he cried in pain. He hold his hand as the pain became unbearable.
Hope stopped chanting as her eyes turned ocean blue. "Tell me and the pain will be end soon" She replied calmly.
He looked at her, his eyes were burning red and the black veins appears underneath it. He smirked at her wickedly before saying
"The reason I attacked her at the first place because she looked delicious" he licked his lips. It was enough for the tribrid to let her wolf take control on her. She moved in front of him shoving her hands in his chest but before she could pull out his heart she got hit by a dart.
"Ad somnum" she heard someone chants and she fall unconscious on the ground along with the vampire. Alaric and Lizzie came right at time.

When the tribrid wake up she was in her room. She remembered Lizzie chanting the spell before she fell unconscious. She was about to kill that vampire and speaking of which she still needs her answers. She got out of her bed to go to interrogate the rogue vampire. When she leave her room she bumped with someone. The smell. She knew his smell from anywhere. She looked at the phoenix boy who also locked eyes with her. They didn't talk much after their 'needing a break' kind of break up. It was Landon's choice to let her go because she wasn't happy in a relationship with him and he noticed that he wasn't enough. After all he wasn't her mate.
There were so many untold things for the tribrid that he didn't say to her. His eyes held so many emotions. They were in a awkward silence when the phoenix boy made a conversation
"I was heading to the library... have something to research on..." he glanced closely at her like he was trying to read her. The tribrid just stand in a awkward silence
"Are you okay?'' He asked her
"Yeah... Yeah... I'm just going to interrogate the rogue vampire we kept yesterday" She replied.
"There is a vampire in the cellar... I thougt it's a full moon today"
"That it is" She looked down eager to end the conversation "I really need to go" She replied as she moved past him. He just watched her walk away.

When she returned to the basement she found the rest of the super squad there along with the saccubus and their old headmaster. Everyone turned at her direction when she entered in here. Her eyes searched from the group to rest on the certain brunette who wasn't looking at her. The brunette was in a conversation with her friend that she didn't even glanced at the tribrid. In reality the brunette felt her presence moments before she eneter the warewolf cellar. She started a conversation with the saccubus which could involved her something and she would successfully ignore the tribrid and through Hope's perspective it was working.

Hope looked at the blonde twin, who seemed little disturbed by being in the same room with her vampire mate. The tribrid eyeing her before she turned to their old headmaster "You hit me with a dart"
"You were going to kill our hostage" Lizzie replied in behalf of her father.
"He is still alive isn't he?" She was getting frustrated.

"Because we stopped you from ripping his heart out" Lizzie replied.
"Did he say anything?" She asked looking back at the old headmaster
"He should wake up in a few" the headmaster said looking at his watch.
"You said there were others warewolfs who attacked you before?" Kaleb asked the brunette
"It was one time in France where they attacked me because I was helping Soph" Josie tell them
"And what the saccubus did? Slept with their alpha and broke his heart which pissed him off enough to sent his pack after her" Jed said this time looking at saccubus. Sophia just rolled her eyes at his comment.
"There are also vampires. Warewolfs and vampire don't belong to the same pack" Rafael said.
"Not if someone else is behind this" MG said "What if they are working for someone?"
"Who is so pissed with you?" MG asked
"I don't know a there is a lot... I lost count" Sophia said with a shrug. Everyone just shook their head.
"That's not good enough" Hope tell her in a frustrated tone.
"Okay... what are you not telling us?" Lizzie asked her this time
"I already told you guys what I know about them" Sophia replied.
"You brought your problems here because of now Josie's life at risk" The tribrid stepped towards Sophia yelling at her.
Jed noticed the vampire stirring awake "Ahh... guys"
Everyone was more focused in bickering between the tribrid and the saccubus.
"You know what putting her life at risk... you broking the bon..." Josie interrupted her before Sophia could finish her sentence
"Soph..." She whisper yelled at her
"Gosh... you're both so dramatic" Lizzie shook her head
"Girls... calm down" Dr. Saltzman said sternly.
"What do you mean?" The tribrid asked but she didn't get a replied as they heard Jed.
"Guys..." Jed said little louder this time.
"What...?" The girls said in unison.
"Our hostage is awake" Everyone's attention went to the the vampire behind the bars.

He still had that smug look on his face which he didn't know wouldn't work in front of three powerful witches.
"Looks like the whole squad is here." he sneered.
"We already have enough drama to sort out. Now tell us what do you want from my daughter?" Alaric asked. The vampire glanced at Josie and then Sophia.
"It's her I want" the vampire replied gesturing at Sophia.
"Devil in disguise" Hope made a comment at Sophia.
"I don't even know you" Sophia stepped closer to the cell. The vampire just smirked at her.
"You know who's after all this" The brunette asked this time but the vampire's gaze fixated on the saccubus.
"Speak up mutt" Lizzie exclaimed at him.
"You can't stop who's after you. She will find you" he said to the saccubus. Sophia stayed silent at his comment.
"Who is she?" Hope asked but the vampire didn't say anything. He just stand there zoning out. Hope chants a spell which made him scream in pain. "If I say her I would die" he cried out in pain.
"I'll make that easier for you" The tribrid replied increasing the pain.
"Hope stop" Dr. Saltzman said.
"You're killing him" Kaleb said
"Why she is mad all of a sudden?" Jed made some remarks.
"Hope he would die..." Alaric yelled at her. Hope didn't stopped, she wasn't in control anymore, she was angry and hurting and she took it out on the vampire in front of her.
"Lauren" He screamed between his cries of agony and Hope stopped her spell.
Sophia gasped at the name, just staring at the vampire she steps back from the bar. She didn't say anything this whole time.
The vampire soon after puked blood and the black marks appears on his body and he fell unconscious on the ground. Black magic.

"He's dead" Raf said broking the silence.
"You all can go. I'll handle this." Dr. Saltzman said. Sophia was the first one who left the basement followed by the siphoner twins. Soon after Jed, Raf and Kaleb leave.
It was MG who just sensed the tension between the headmaster and the tribrid and leave to give them some time.

The tribrid just stand in silence. She knew she shouldn't forced him to the limits. She knew what black magic is capable of. Her wolf was on edge this whole time and she lost control at any small moment.
"Hope..." The headmaster tried to approach her but she back away.
"Don't... I know what are you going to say"
"You're not yourself" he said "What's happening with you? You never behave so reckless" He asked her
"It's full moon today. My wolf's on edge. That's all"
"Full moon doesn't effect you Hope. You killed this vampire because you lost control" he said "If this is about Josie..."
"I said I'm fine" She yelled at him which made a magical wave to threw him backwards. He groans in pain before setting on the floor, looking at the tribrid with a concern look. She left the room immediately after and just then MG walked in.
