Chloe found Johnny and Sigur at breakfast the next morning and spoke to them in hushed tones over bacon and eggs. They almost burst with delight when they were updated with the new information. They agreed that the Red Guard should all be informed at the same time. The problem, of course was how to let everyone in on the information without tipping off the Pope or the Swiss Guard.

"Most revolutions are started with the written word," said Johnny.

"Johnny, this isn't the 1800s," said Chloe with a grin.

"Maybe not, but a lot of us are from that time period," Johnny said with a wink.

"Still, you need to keep up with the times, Johnny," said Sigur with a roll of his eyes.

"Alright, perhaps you're right. What do the times dictate?" asked Johnny.

"I would say text messaging, but our phones all belong to the Vatican, so we are not guaranteed privacy," thought Chloe.

"I think we're going to have to have a good old meeting," said Sigur.

"When and where?" asked Johnny.

"Before the next hunt, perhaps," said Chloe. Johnny and Sigur looked thoughtful and then nodded.

"I guess we should get going to training and listen for when the next hunt might take place. At the rate things are going, it will probably take place tonight," said Sigur.

Chloe nodded as they got up from their seats and headed out the door. She saw Felicity and Quinn on her way out and gave the a subtle thumbs up sign. They grinned back at her.

That day, Chloe sought out Philippe, whom she had spoken to a couple of days ago. She thought she should get to know him better in the hopes that he would be on their side. She was stretching her legs when she saw him walk in the door. He immediately walked over to Jessica who was standing on the other side of the room.

Chloe saw him start speaking angrily to Jessica and Jessica argued back with him. Chloe's curiosity was piqued as she watched them argue. She tried to move closer non-nonchalantly to hear what they were talking about with such emotion. Then she saw that Quinn was already over there and he gave her a warning look. Chloe stayed where she was and did her best to ignore what was happening. She would ask Quinn about it later.

It took a few minutes for Philippe to turn around and storm away. He punched the door open on his way out of the training room and stalked down the hall to where, Chloe had no idea. She glanced over at Jessica who was watching the door with a scowl. Chloe quickly looked away before Jessica's wrath could be turned on her. It looked like she would be in an especially foul mood today.

"Did you hear the news?" asked Sigur. Chloe nearly jumped out of her skin. Sigur had snuck up behind her and was whispering in her ear.

"No, what?"

"The target for tonight is a former Red Guard," whispered Sigur with a mixture of excitement and anger.

"How do you know that? I haven't heard anything yet. At all," said Chloe with some annoyance.

"You have to keep your ear to the ground, Chloe. You have lots of good ideas, but you need to get better at gossip," winked Sigur.

"It's, like, not even nine in the morning yet, I don't know who you could've been talking to."

"I haven't been talking to anyone. I've been listening," said Sigur, "Jessica was a bit upset about the target, so she told her partner. The only problem was that Gerty is friends with Philippe, who was the target's partner when he was a Red Guard. So Philippe is rather furious. You saw the result of that. We will have to ask Quinn what he heard."

"We have to hunt and kill a former Red Guard? Why would a Red Guard be killing the rich blood?" Chloe wondered.

"That's just it, isn't it? I bet that's what Philippe wants to know, too. But if the Pope says it's so, it must be so, right?" Sigur's voice was dripping with sarcasm.

Chloe looked up and saw Quinn wandering their way. "Are you guys ready for a coffee break yet?" he asked.

Chloe grinned up at him as she got up from a stretch. "Yeah, I think so. Sigur, wanna come?"

He nodded. They quickly walked out, trying to avoid eye-contact with Jessica. Even so, Chloe could feel the  glare on her back as they reached the door. Chloe turned to look at her and Jessica met her gaze evenly.

"It's not my fault," Jessica said. "I don't choose the target."

"We know," Chloe replied. They shared a moment of understanding and then Chloe turned and continued to leave.

The three Red Guards stopped a few feet down the hall.

"Let's meet in Chloe's room," said Quinn. He looked at Sigur, "You get Johnny and I'll get Felicity. Meet there in fifteen." They all nodded and Chloe headed back to her room to prepare.

When she got there she saw Gregory standing by her door. She tried to think of some odd request to send him on a bit of a wild goose chase. She grinned and said, "Gregory, I know this is weird, but I have the craziest hankering for a Wonderbar. I have to get back to training. Are you very busy?"

Gregory frowned the slightest bit. She never asked him for anything, "I wouldn't mind going and getting that for you, Chloe. How many would you like?"

"Good point," she smiled, "They're my favourite chocolate bar, so it might be a good idea to have a few on hand." He nodded and set off at a quick pace. She knew he would have to leave Vatican City to get a Wonderbar. In fact, he might have to search high and low for one through many of the various stores in Rome. Satisfied, she opened her door and turned on the TV. They needed to make sure they had lots of background noise. Then she sat and waited for everyone to get to her room.

Finally there was a knock at the door and she ran to answer it. All of her friends were there, plus an additional few, including Philippe. All told, about ten people entered her room. She looked at Felicity with some panic.

"It's all good, don't worry. Everyone is worked up about the hunt tonight," whispered Felicity, "The timing couldn't be better to reveal what we know."

"Who's going to tell them all?" asked Chloe.

"You don't want to?" said Felicity with some surprise.

"I don't know everyone that well. I think they'd respond better if you did it," Chloe whispered back.

"Okay, I'll do it happily." They proceeded into Chloe's room. Everyone was sitting in various places around the room. Chloe smiled nervously at them all. And then there was another knock at the door. Chloe looked at it nervously. She looked from the door back to the other Red Guards in her room. "Go answer it," hissed Felicity.

Chloe went and spied through the peek hole. Her heart skipped a beat when she saw Jessica standing there. She looked back to Felicity, "It's Jessica," she hissed.

"I can hear you," said Jessica through the door, "Just let me in. I want in on whatever is going on. I don't want to turn on a fellow Red Guard either." These last words, she whispered fiercely and Chloe was surprised she could hear them through the wood. The took a deep breath and opened the door. Jessica smiled at her and walked in. She joined the others on the bed. Chloe took a moment to thank her morning-self for taking a few moments to smooth the sheets this morning.

"Okay," started Felicity. She spoke quietly to stay under the buzz of the television voices. "So," she stammered a bit nervously. "A few of us have discovered something rather unbelievable." She looked around at the faces in the room filled with anticipation. "We have some very convincing evidence that points to the Pope being a vampire." There were sharp intakes of breath around the room.

"Bull," said Jessica, but she didn't sound convinced in her own denial. "I mean, we're working for a vampire to kill vampires? It can't be."

"But it is," said Quinn who had moved to Felicity's side. "And here is the proof." And then Quinn and Felicity took turns laying it all out for all of those who were present. Chloe was happy to see that they presented the information in a very clear and convincing manner. By the end, everyone was nodding their heads, but looking disgusted or baffled.

"I don't know about the rest of us in this room," said Jessica, "But I can't do a vampire's bidding. I don't care who he is." There were nods around the room.

"Well, that's good," said Chloe stepping forward, "because I have a plan." She smiled at her Red Guards. And then she told them.
