Cayden's POV

We pulled into the parking lot outside of Brooke's dorm. This is the part of the night that I was loathing this whole time. The part where she leaves, making it the end of our date.

I know I'm going to see her first thing tomorrow morning but it's not the same considering the only reason I'm going to see her is to take her to the airport. Airport aka the place that's making it possible for my girl to be thousands of miles away from me. I hate the fucking airports now.

As soon as I pulled into one of the loading stalls, I immediately put the car in park and jumped out to open her door for her. When she got out, she quickly leaned forward and pressed her lips against mine. After a couple of seconds, she removed her mouth and came in closer, wrapping her arms around my waist.

"Thanks for tonight," she said looking up at me with her chin planted on my chest. "I had a really great time."

"Me, too, baby. Thanks for coming with us." I leaned in to give her one last kiss before she was out of my grasp for the rest of the night. She turned her head, while still holding onto my body, and looked at Cayleigh. She was still in her car seat with her head leaning to the side, knocked out. "I guess she had a great night out with us, too," I joked.

"Yeah. I guess so," Brooke laughed, turning back to face me. "So, I'll see you tomorrow?"

"Yup," I nodded. "Maybe if you're not too tired, we can get breakfast before your flight?"

She placed the side of her head into my chest and nodded. "Yeah, I'd love that."

I rested my chin on top of her head. "Oooorrr," I dragged the word out. "You could just sleep over." Quickly, her head shot up, showing me a confused look. The look on her face was so frickin' priceless. Laughing at her, I kissed her forehead. "Just to sleep, baby. I promise. We can go to sleep, wake up a little early and eat breakfast together. Then we'll drop you off at the airport."

    "Ummm," she began to say.

"Come on, baby. Please," I begged. I wanted her to say yes more than I ever wanted anything in my life before. I wasn't even against waking Cayleigh up so she could beg with me. That would definitely get her to sleep over. I buried my face in the place where her neck met her shoulders. "Please," I spoke into her skin, causing the hairs on her body near my mouth to stand up. "I just want to spend our last night together with you in my arms."

For some reason, she began to laugh into my shoulder, which her face was currently shoved into because of how we were holding each other. "Okay. Fine, you big baby. I can feel you pouting against my skin."

"Really," I asked with a fake shocked expression. What I was really doing was mentally high-fiving myself.

"Yes, really. Just let me take a quick shower first then I'll be right down with my luggage. I'll be 10, 15 minutes tops."

"Take all the time you need, beautiful." I already got what I wanted, so I didn't mind waiting. "I'm not going anywhere."

Last night was fucking incredible. Hands down the best night of my life. And everything was all PG.

As soon as we got to the house, I carried Cayleigh inside while Brooke grabbed both mine and Cayleigh's school bags. If that isn't what a couple of young parents looked like, then I don't know what did.

After gently changing Cayleigh into her pajamas and then putting her in bed, I went downstairs to see Brooke in the laundry room taking the clothes that I used for weight lifting and practice out of my duffle bag and putting it in the washing machine. I stood in the doorway and watched her. When she noticed me standing there, she looked at me with pure disgust and said, "Dude, these things smell nasty as hell."

"Baby, I can't help what my hard work smells like," I smirked.

She continued throwing my clothes in the washer, piece by piece. She even went to the lengths of unraveling my rolled up compression pants. "You know what, fuck this," she said shaking her head while dumping out the rest of the contents into the washer then throwing the whole bag in the machine. "After smelling that, I'm thinking about sleeping next to Cay tonight."

"You wish," I told her. Then I picked her up, threw her over my shoulder and marched back upstairs to my bedroom, all while she was yell-laughing at me to put her down.

I fell asleep with her wrapped in my arms and her head laying on my chest. In the middle of the night, Cayleigh came in the room to sleep with me. My ears are still ringing from that loud ass, excited scream she made when she saw Brooke sleeping next to me.

Right now, the three of us just finished eating breakfast and are about to head out to the airport. We would've been ready five minutes earlier but Brooke insisted on washing every single dish by hand instead of using the dishwasher. She said that she never grew up using a dishwasher and also that it is unsafe to leave home with it still running. She even took the liberty of googling it for me when I told her that I do it all the time.

"Okay, I'm ready mommy and daddy," Cayleigh said while running down the stairs in the same Elsa dress that she used last night at dinner.

"Baby, you can't wear your dress to school. It's gonna get dirty. Can you put something else on? Like pants and a shirt," I told her.

"To school? But I thought you told me that we were going on a airplane," she asked.

"No, only mommy's going on the airplane. We're gonna take her to it, then I'm gonna drop you off at school, and then I'm gonna go to school."

Water started to pool in her eyes. "Why do only you have to go on the airplane, mommy," she asked Brooke.

Brooke walked halfway up the stairs, stopping right before her and bent down to be face to face with her. "Because I'm going home."

The tears started to slowly drip down her cheeks, breaking my heart little by little with every drop. "But this is your home," she whispered. "You said you live with Papaya."

"I do. I have two homes. One over here and one in Hawai'i," she told her.

    "What's Havaiki?"

"Hawai'i is where I'm from," she explained while wiping away Cayleigh's tears with her thumbs. "That's where I was born and where I grew up. It's where my mommy and daddy lives. And the rest of my family."

"Oh. So are you going to live with them now?"

"Umm..." She looked at me, begging me with her eyes to help her.

"She is, Princess. But only for a few weeks. Then she'll be right back at the airport waiting for us to pick her up," I smiled at them.

Ten more minutes of us breaking down all the reasons on why Brooke had to go back to Hawai'i, notice how I called it Hawai'i and not her home, Brooke finally took her back into her room to help her change. I told them that I would wait for them in the car. I had a little mission to do that I didn't want the two of them catching me doing.

After fighting crazy ass drivers and a crazy ass amount of traffic, we finally pulled on the side of the road outside of the terminal. I got out of the car to get Brooke's carryon from the back while she got into the backseat to properly say goodbye to Cayleigh.

"You promise you're coming back," I heard Cayleigh ask.

"I super duper pinky promise. Love you," Brooke told her before kissing her temple. Cayleigh mumbled a sad 'I love you' back to her as she made her way out of the backseat and blew Cayleigh one last kiss before closing the door.

As soon as she turned around, I quickly grabbed her by the hips and pulled her into my body. I felt her hands slowly glide around my waist and up my back. "You promise you're coming back," I copied Cayleigh in a baby voice.

"I super duper pinky promise," she laughed.

After holding her silently for a minute or two, I let out a groan. "Do you really have to go?"

"Yeah. My family wasn't very happy that I missed Thanksgiving. And Christmas is a really big deal to us. Also, I really miss them."

I pulled away from her to look her in the eyes. "Okay. You better come back, though. Don't make me fly over there and get you," I smirked.

"You're pretty sexy when you're being demanding." Immediately I started to smile, making her laugh. "Oh my god! Are you blushing," she laughed harder. "Look at you. You totally are!"

"Well, shit! This is the first time you've actually flirted with me. This is a pretty huge accomplishment for me and I've been nominated for the Heisman Trophy."

"Holy shit! No ways," she shouted, jumping up, wrapping her arms around my neck and her legs around my waist. "Congratulations! Why didn't you say anything?"

"I didn't want to jinx it. But I'm glad I told you because this reaction right here is so much better than actually winning," I grinned while squeezing her ass.

After placing her back on the ground, I leaned in for another kiss. Unlike last night, I wasn't going to let her be in control of the pace of this kiss. This could be the last kiss that she ever gives me. I've got to send her on the plane with a bang. Meaning, I'm about to give this girl the kiss of her life. That way, if the thought of staying in Hawai'i even crosses her mind, she has a reminder of what California has waiting for her.

I pressed her up against the car and grabbed the back of her head, practically slamming my mouth onto hers. After a few seconds of nipping at her lips, I ran my tongue across the soft, bottom one, asking her for access. When she opened up, I slipped my tongue into her mouth gently but at the same time forcefully. Both of her hands clutched onto the back of my shirt, making me kiss her harder. Deeper. Before I knew it, I was lost in the kiss, completely forgetting where I was and who was around me.

The security scolding us for taking too long in the drop off zone brought us back to reality. I slowly backed away from her, seeing that her eyes were still closed.

"It's never felt like that before," she said, finally opening her eyes.

"Same here, baby." I hugged her one last time while kissing her forehead. "Text me when you land, alright." She nodded. "Have a safe flight."

    "Thank you. See you later."

The rest of the day went by slow as fuck. It even got to the point of me checking my phone every five minutes, waiting for her text even though I knew she was still in the air. And to make matters worse, Cayleigh started crying hysterically as soon as Brooke disappeared from our view. I ended up taking her to Chuck E. Cheese after leaving the airport.

By the time her flight was supposed to have landed, I was in the middle of practice. During a quick break, I ran to the locker room pretending I had to use the bathroom, but when I got there, there still wasn't any text. In her defense though, her flight was estimated to have landed only 11 minutes before then.

As soon as coach blew the whistle, signaling that practice was over, I rushed back to the locker room. "Cayd, she flew to Hawai'i to take a break from your ass. Leave the poor girl alone," Theo teased, earning him my middle finger.

Throwing my locker open, I searched my jeans pocket for my phone. When I turned it on, I saw that I had four new texts from the beautiful girl who I was waiting to hear from practically all day.
