Dex's POV:

We packed up the stuff we've gathered the past week and loaded it onto Tally's ship. Lexi is passed out, drunk, on the couch. She bought alcohol and just drank the entire week to try and drown out her sorrow. It's made lots of us extremely uncomfortable, especially Foxete for some reason. Illoha says that she's had a pretty bad history with alcohol. Damien was saying goodbye to a small hybrid with blue hair, I'm guessing they became friends or something, don't really care. Foxete was organizing the supplies with Tally and Illoha. She seems better than she was, but she is still clearly mentally unstable. She isn't able to run a crew. For now, I'll take her place until she is stable enough to do it herself. After we hauled everything onto the ship, we begin to file onboard. Tally is gonna fly us to Enolva, my home. I sit down on Tally's couch and sigh. Foxete sits next to me.
"Good job, Fox." I smile.
"Thanks, man." She smiles back.
At least the two of us are not constantly at each others necks.
"I'm exhausted!" She groans.
"Well, settle down we have quite a long trip ahead of us." Tally sighs.
"How long?" Toby asks.
"5 hours." Tally sighs.
"Oh, not that bad." Illoha chuckles.
"This place is tiny though." Jake sighs, "Plus, Lexi is drunk."
"Bring her upfront with me, you won't have to deal with her." Tally suggests.
"Alright, I'll go up with you." Jake helps Lexi up to the cockpit.
I look at our messed up crew.
A planetless heir
An armyless general
A non-verbal child

A talkative slime
A drunk pirate
The drunk pirate's boyfriend
A 16 year old technician
An 'Eclipse', whatever that is
A mute weapons expert
A random couple who I don't know
An Ex-Freddy AI
An Ex-criminal
And a depressed captain
And of course, me, the only stable one.
Everyone settles down and we launch. I look outside the window.
I'm coming home.

Foxete's POV:

I see Dex standing by the window. I look around me, everyone was sleeping.
Might as well try to talk to him.
I walk over to Dex.
"Whatcha thinking about?" I ask.

"A girl back home." Dex sighs.
"Oh?" I smirk.
"Yeah, her name was Josie. Bonnie saved her life. Honestly, that's a debt I owe him." Dex frowns, "I was meant to die taking Foxy down, but I ended up failing to even try to save him and Bonnie."
"You... tried to save them?" I ask, confused.
"I tried to save you." He chuckles, "I saw you run back in there, and I tried to follow you, but Illoha had a strong hold on me."
I stare outside at the beautiful galaxy.
"I left them." I whisper, choking up, "I was there, with them, but I left them with Freddy."
I can tell Dex turned to look at me.
"I failed them." I clench my fists.
"No, you didn't." Dex grabs my arm, ". You saved Kat and Icey. You're the captain of this crew now, don't get held up in your pain."
"I shouldn't be the captain. You would be better at that." I scoff.
He lets go of my arm, "Me? Nobody here likes me. Tim was my only friend." Dex shakes his head, "They all look up to you. They all look to you because you've run this crew for as long as I've been on it."
I smile, "Thank you."
"Of course, I was telling the truth." He sighs.
"Tim was right." I chuckle.
"What?" Dex asks.
"We are alike." I grin.
