"There is no competition because no one can be me."
-Lilac Manor

It was starting to get dark when we got close to a grand driveway. I woke up to find daddy sleeping beside me and I giggled at that. He's rarely caught sleeping. Well...not by me anyway.

"Daddy?"

"Wha-ehere? Oh, we're here he said sitting up straight and putting on his sunglasses probably to hide the fact he was dying of fatigue.

The grand gates automatically opened and we entered Rosewood High. It was beautiful. Students sitting on the turf, teachers and staff walking around, a lovely fountain with benches and a lovely garden with my favourite flower - Lilac.

As soon as the car reached the administration office a young man carry my luggage out the car taking my name then just like that, he was gone.

Dad held my hand and I saw a group of girls snickering at us but I didn't really mind since I'd choose my dad over them anyday.

"Lord!" a plumpish woman exclaimed walking over to my father and I from behind her table. Holding some papers and gave me an impromptu hug.

"It's a delight to have you here Miss Manor." She said to me wiping the side of her lips. "Oh and you too Sir." She said curtsying to my father. "Please, please sit."

As father and I took our seats in front of her desk, she walked over to a large vault, turned the knob a few times and opened it taking out a folder.

"You have quite an outstanding performance from your previous school Miss Ma-

"Lilac." I interrupted her before she could finish. "Very well lilac." The woman said intentionally emphasising my name in her statement. "You'll be assigned to Turtle Cove." She said handing my father my folder. "Chicken what?" I spat.

"Er...no. Turtle Cove." She said once more. "I'm Ursela she said holding out a hand for my father to shake but he just nodded and continued searching through my folder scanning through some documents.

"Her schedule?" He finally spoke. "My apologies Mr. Manor." Ursela said handing me a paper and a key with note 'Turtle Cove RB7' probably Room B7? Yeah.

Over the next hour, we discussed my stay here and Ursela managed to get a glimpse into my life by asking my dad some questions. Then taking a lipgloss tube of Lilac Cosmetics out of her bag then twirling it between her fingers to catch my attention. Pathetic.

"I should get going now darling." Dad whisper into my ear as Ursela kept going on and on about her vacation in Korea. I simply nodded in agreement and he gave me a peck on my cheek. "Remember what I said about those lips." He smirked before leaving.

"I should get going Miss Ursela." I told her after sitting in her office for another hour. "Should get a good night sleep don't you think."

For minute she scanned me before agreeing.

As I walked out of her office, I noticed the sun had already set before I checked my phone to see the time. "10PM!" I exclaimed gaining the attention of a few people. I put my phone back into my handbag and looked for Turtle Cove on my map.

Dove cove, Lion cove, Reindeer cove... hold on, what was this? A zoo? I finally stumbled across a huge building probably three floors with the words 'TURTLE COVE' written boldly on top.

It was a really modern building to be honest. It had latge glass windows and pretty decent balconies on each side decorated with a few pots and plants.

I pushed the double glass door open and walked into a common room. Suddenly, all attention was on me. Lilac Manor I heard some groups whisper. I just looked around and made my way to the nearest staircase with the sign of a female...probably the girl's dorms I supposed.

As I walked up, I came across a few doors RB1 RB2 RB3 RB4... "Here." I exclaimed to myself before shoving the key in.

I opened the door to a very lovely environment. A lovely rectangular room painted in white with two beds besides each other separated with two desks. Seems this is a two man room. Each desk had a little potted plant on it and as I looked besides the door there was a flat screen TV, an Xbox and a WI-FI router. Sweet.

Everything seemed pretty much untouched and I was grateful for that. Now I just needed to find out who my new roommate was.

๐“†‰๏ธŽ๐“†‰๏ธŽ๐“†‰๏ธŽ๐“†‰๏ธŽ

After about three pathetic hours of talking to myself and "efficiently" using the Wi-Fi by watching a series of How I met Your Mother and listening to random songs in my new room until I heard a knock on the door.

My heart skipped a beat knowing it'll be my new roommate. What if it was a guy? I'd be the most depressed girl on campus but then again, I was pretty sure this was a girls dormitory.

"Hey." I said opening the door. But before the person could reply I slammed it. I started hyperventilating then rushed over to my bag to grab a paper bag in order to take deep breathes in it.

I finally found my confidence and went back to the door opening it once more.

"What do you want?" I spat with the coldest tone I could find.

"Nothing. Just came to say hi."

"Could you do me a favor please?" I asked trying to sound unp*ssed.

"S-sure. Anything."

"Do me a favor and make sure we don't cross paths again alright Blake?" And with that I slammed the door in his face once more.

Blake Martinez also known as America's it-boy AKA my pathetic ex. Blake was one of the few guys who had silky black hair across his face and gorgeous eyes with a mouthwatering jawline. I'd say he was a snack. A real good snack.

He was every girls dream boy and I had him. We were the perfect couple...well, that was until he cheated on me in public. But it's fine, I'm over him. I have Carrie, Tyra, Liam, loving parents and a successful business. What more could I want?

Ugh...after our little encounter I couldn't sleep. Dad had given me water with sleeping pills before I left but that obviously isn't working.

As the moonlight shore bright into my new room through the window I couldn't help but admire it so I got up and opened the balcony door causing me to shiver for a second but since I had on my oversized Dior hoodie and leggings the feeling didn't really last long.

I leaned on the railing remembering that just yesterday I was in Barcelona watching the beautiful sun set. Here it was somewhere around 11 pm and I couldn't even sleep. As I looked down I noticed there was a basketball court with a bench so I thought there's no harm in going to read there, it did look serene after all.

After pondering for about ten minutes, I took a mathematics textbook that daddy had got me from the store downstairs before he left and headed downstairs locking my room.

The common room had been emptied apart from a few girls in overpriced pj's fixing their nails and giggling.

"Lilac!" A girl called out. God, sometimes I hate the fact that I'm famous.

Within seconds, she walked up to me. The girl had lovely blond hair that had been rolled up haphazardly by tongs on her head and had a black eye mask with the name 'Arianna' on her forehead. She wore a pair of black pj's; shorts and a tank top and a pair of fluffy Victoria Secret slippers. I'd recognize those anywhere.

"This isn't wonderland princess, what do you think you're doing up?" she asked me sarcastically.

"Was going out to read... do you have a problem with that?"

With that she looked at me from head to toe then back up to the head. "You're one of us darling." she said in the sweetest tone while fidgeting with her bracelet. "Well Arianna. Do one of you read? Cause if not, I'm going to do just that." and just like that I walked out of the double glass door still clutching onto my math book and yep, I heard a few 'oooh's' coming from behind me before Arianna demanded everyone to shut up.

I just didn't understand why people like Arianna think they can boss everyone around.

Taking a few turns behind the dorms I finally came into the basketball court where I opened the metal gate and just as I was about to sit on the bench I noticed someone already on it.

Hey! I had mentally claimed that bench.

I slowly walked over to approach the person when the person stood up and looked in my direction. I dropped my book and run back to the gate who knows, maybe it's a serial killer trying to target rich kids and I was so not ready to die. I hadn't got married, been awarded as youngest self made billionaire and I hadn't finished annoying Liam.

Dang it! The gate was locked and I could see the shadow coming closer to me. Closer...closer...closer. That's it.

I turned my face with my eyes closed and my hands up in the air "Please don't kill me. I haven't lived my life to it's fullest. I have no kids. If I give you my credit card please turn and never come back." after my 'stupid' rant I slowly opened my eyes with my hands gradually coming down.

"Hey." I said to the person with a hint of disappointment in my voice now having my arms crossed below my lumps. "Can you be jailed for murder?"

"Did you get murdered?" he said with the most s*xiest tone I've ever heard. All I've seen of this guy was his face and his Instagram page and that's pretty much it.

Malachi Washtington was a whole different specimen. He had dark brown hair and was about 6'4 making me feel embarrassed since he kind of had to look down to see me. His cologne was mesmerizing and I nearly fell considering the amount that was going into my nostrils. He was wearing a black top clearly screaming 'They're abs under me' and grey sweat pants hanging on his waist. Sh*t! he was dripping with heat.

"I need to breathe." I said gently pushing him with my arms on his chest and yes, the top was right. I could feel those abs. "These are fragile Lilac." for a moment I just lifted an eyebrow at him. "How did you know my name?" was the only thing I could project.

"You follow me on social media." he said spinning a basketball on his index finger which I didn't notice before. "Mum uses your products." he continued. "Er...tell her I said thanks?"

"Nah...she too busy. We don't vibe that much, know what I'm saying?" he continued still spinning that ball.

He finally stopped then scanned me. "Here to read?" he asked now looking in the direction of my book. Wasn't it obvious? "Here to play?" I asked him sarcastically looking in the direction of the basketball hoop.

I walked over to the bench and picked up my book to start something productive while he walked over to the hoop to throw the ball some more.

As I tried to figure out some equations, I kept glancing at him and surprisingly, he too was looking at me but then we both blushed a bit and went back to what we were doing.

Screw this. I checked my phone and it was almost midnight .I was exhausted and so was he since he sat down on the floor and was spinning the ball on his finger once more but he back towards me. Was I really in school with the president's son? Something about him intrigued me. He seemed so quiet and reserved but in all the posts and thing I'd read about him he seemed so...opposite.

I gently put my book on the bench then walked up to where he sat on the floor sitting down as well but wrapping my arms around my knees. "You okay?"

"You care?" he asked. "If I didn't care I wouldn't be here would I?" he just rolled his eyes and continued spinning his ball. Jerk.

"It's getting late you know." looking at my phone screen once more. "Shouldn't we head back?" I asked still trying my absolute best to start a conversation with Malachi.

Finally he looked at me then said: "Could you just get off my back please? Don't you have manicures to paint and your hair to curl?"

"Excuse me." I said getting up. I had had enough. I wasn't going to be thrown under the buss by anyone's son and definitely not Mr. President's son. He might have all the girls in America bow to his feet but sorry, I wasn't going to be one.

"I don't care who the h*ll you think you are Malachi, but I'm not going to let you toss me around because I have a full season of Riverdale to watch and a bunch of chocolate bars to demolish. If you don't want to talk, that's fine but don't bring your stuck up ass on me."

"Son of a biscuit." I finally muttered before storming off to the bench to grab my book. "Lilac!" Malachi shouted. I rolled my eyes and turned back to him. "What?"

Now he was right in front of me and he run a hand through his brown hair which now looked blue considering the moonlight. "I'm sorry." he finally said.

"Good for you." I said turning towards the metal gate.
