I felt the sense of deja vu crawl up to me like a tingling little insect on your skin, perhaps I was just imagining things, maybe not but one thing was for sure. My body and mind will never been the same after last night.

As I now lay on the air bed in the garden with the sun daring to shine in my face, the feeling of pride had washed over my like an ocean wave. Despite the fact that Kai didn't gesture to make any advances, we still had a really good time.

Staring at his smooth face facing me, fast asleep, I rubbed his cheek with my thumb. Was this now my freaking boyfriend?... Really?....Anyone?

I guess this was my reality. I was officially with the president's son. Who knew things would turn out like this? Memories of our first meeting at the basketball court in school made me smile considering how hostile we both were, how much of an ass he was and the type of broken person who hid between the thick walls of money and pride.

"G'morning." I greeted, caressing his silky hair which was pretty much dishevelled.

Shit, morning breathe. I mentally scolded myself. Way to go on your first morning of being a girlfriend again.

"It's barely even morning, turtle. Four o'clock, maybe?" He asked, rubbing his eyes of sleep.

I giggled. "I know, sorry. I couldn't help it. You have a really cute sleep face."

"I beg to differ." He trailed of just before his husky words were cut short by a kiss he put between us.

"So this is us?" I asked him, still in disbelief of what has happened in less than twenty- four hours.

"All us." He smiled.

******

Later during the day after a cold shower and lunch, I decided to call my family for an update on my educational status. I mean, despite the fact that online class was pretty decent and flexible I still missed school.

I missed the friends that I'd made and the serene environment not to talk of Turle Cove. That place was beginning to seem like home to me.

Dialing the number of the only family member I knew my heart, the phone rang for a good twenty seconds before there was an answer.

"Well well, I knew you loved me but I never knew you were so eager to talk to me."

"Idiot." I seetheed. "Sup?" I reluctantly asked, flopping onto my bed.

"Nothing much to report, boss. Just the normal stuff, you know?" Liam answered me, but for some reason I could feel the lace of rush and uncertainty in his voice.

Please, call it sister intuition.

Like I've said before, I know Liam Manor like the back of my palm so not even a phone call could hide his demeanour.

"Are you okay?"

"I'm busy at the moment. Can I call you back?"

I must admit. That hurt.

Liam was always the type of guy to call me and talk crap but how he was declining the offer to talk to me? Perhaps there is probably something wrong but being the person I am, I suppose it's going to be wise to wait for him to tell me because after all, we tell each other everything... right?

Perhaps if he didn't want to talk, someone else did so I tried calling my dad but I wasn't surprised when it got send to voicemail so instead I called my mum just hoping if no one would oick up, she would but lo and behold, she didn't.

Who am I kidding?

This runs in the family. We're almost always too busy to answer phone calls though there was still one person I still hadn't tried yet.

One person I tried to ignore for a long time and still trying to ignore; Mathew Manor.

Staring at his caller ID, I was contemplating on if to call or not. Would he pick it? This is weird isn't it?"

Betting on my lucky stars which were literally non-existent, I tapped on his phone number and instantly felt a shiver through my spine.

This is so freaking weird . I thought to myself as I tried my best to stay composed for when he picks up. Sorry, mistake.

If  he picks up.

"Lilac? Are you okay?" His voice beamed through the speakers as my heart skipped a beat.

Was I okay? I though to myself the question he asked me.

"I'm good." I whispered into the speakers considering the fact that my train of thoughts my fail me and it'll reflect in my words. "-how are you?"

"Er- just checking real quick. Is this Lilac Manor, my little sister?" He enquired. I don't blame him for being shocked. I am too.

I know I'm not the best sister to him but that doesn't mean I hate him as much as I say I do.  No matter what gets between us we'll always be siblings and nothing can change that.

"It is, Mathew. Do we both find it surprising that I called?"

"Pretty much, yeah. You hate my ass."

Fifty percent true, ladies and gents.

"If you're calling about school and going back to your normal life, it should be sorted out next week." Mathew told me.

That wasn't actually why I called but ok. We can work with that.

"Can I ask you something?"

"Sure. Shoot." He replied, his voice laced with a hint of fear of the question I may ask.

"Why did you leave?" I asked, point blank walking over to the balcony because I knew thus was going go be a long one.

"Excuse me?"

"You heard me Mathew. Why did you leave Liam and I without even a goodbye? How did we become so cold?"

For a few seconds, the other end went silent so I had to check my phone to see if that call was still going before putting it back to my ear.

"I needed to be alone." He said, with his husky voice.

"Weren't we enough?"

"Lilac, is this why you called me?" He asked, probably dissapointed that this was what I wanted to talk to him about.

Excuse me for being nosy and what not but I think it's fair I gained closure for why my big brother decided to abandon his family just for the sake of 'being alone.'

I had ever right to know what was going on with him the same way if he cared about me, he'd know what was going on in my life.

"Partially."

"Good- let's skip to the other reason, shall we?"

I sighed. I guess you can't really force people to give information about why they did certain thinks to hurt you, can you?

"You know what? I'll talk to you later." I said, before cutting the call.

Perhaps the relationship between my brother and I could never go back to how it was when we were kids and if that's how he wanted it...I guess there's nothing much I can do about it.

After all, I've learned to forgive and he was number one on my list.

Returning to my bedroom I was met with a man dressed in a black suit and black shades paired with an intercoms making me realise he's a security agent here.

"Sorry to barge in, ma'am but there's someone here for you."

*******

"What are you doing here?" I spat, meeting the person who had come to see me.

"Just hear me out, gosh." He sighed, looking drained.

What was Blake doing here? At the White House? Apology maybe? After all, I did deserve one after all I'd been put through by him and his family.

As I stood at the top of the stairs case, I watched as he walked up to where I stood.

"I know you don't want to see me for what ever fucking reason or whatever it is you think I've done to you but this is really important so if you could put your bitchiness to the side just for a few minutes I'd be grateful. "

"I haven't said anything." I spat, armscrossed.

Yet.

"They're having an affair." He said, pinching the bridge of his nose.

"Who now?" I studied his face right before he lifted his head to look right into my eyes.

"Our parents." He whispered.

Huh? Sorry. Pause, rewind.

To tell you how I burst out in laughter would make me sound stupid but that's what happened. I ended up laughing so hard my eyes began to water until I saw he wasn't laughing with me.

"Oh, you're serious?" I giggled. "Look, Blake. I don't know what's up with you coming all the way up here to tell me crap but whatever you want I don't have." I said seriously. "I have a boyfriend now."

For a moment there, he took a deep breathe then ruffled his hair before stepping closer to me just to we were inches apart.

"I'm happy for you, Lilac. I really am but I wouldn't cancel a fashion show, board a private jet and get caught by paparazzi coming to Washington if this wasn't important."

"Hold on. What are you trying to say?" I asked, partially grasping the severity of the issue.

"Your mother and my father are having an affair."

"I-I- ar-

"It's what I saw that I'm telling you, Lilac. I wouldn't lie like this. I could have sent you a text but you blocked me." He admitted.

"I- though before I could respond, my body went limp.

"Woah!" Blake exclaimed catching me before I was able to hit the tiles. "Can you stand?"

"I can." I whispered, gaining my senses from before I went dizzy.

"I have proof."

"Of what?" A voice asked, seeming pissed causing us to snap our heads in that direction.

Just meters away, Malachi stood still with a basketball in his hand looking pissed just as expected.

"Leave her alone." Kai spat, throwing the ball in Blake's direction missing him by inches.

"You don't understand." I turned to him, shaking.

"Enlighten me." Malachi told us, walking over to me seeming somewhat embarrassed by how he almost wacked Blake in the head.

"Our father and the mother are currently in an affair." Blake said again for what seemed like the fiftieth or sixtieth time today.

"Is this true?"

Thought just as my abilities allowed me to answer, there was a picture of my mother - Amber Chloette Manor holding a tall glass of champagne in a high split dress standing in an awkwardly unappropriate position with her thighs on display and there he was...

Blake's dad.

Standing inches away from my mother as his filthy, wicked hands found their way beside her waist leaving barley inches between them for their lips to meet.

"I'm not kidding." Blake acknowledged, backing his claim with evidence. "This is fucked." was the last thing I heard before I started screaming as if someone had attempted to stangle me.

True, this is fucked and unfortunately, my mother is too.
