"I wake up blessed, not stressed."

                            - Lilac Manor

As I tossed and turned in my blankets unintentionally wrapping myself up like a depressed shawarma,  I felt the sun rays burning my cheek as I faced the window.

Then slowly opened my right eye since I was too lazy to open the other I reluctantly got up from bed now opening the other.

My hands had me propped up on the bed as I tried to figure out how I got up here. The last things I remembered was forcing myself to keep my eyes open while leaning on Liam's shoulder.

He must have carried me up her considering the fact that I was still in my black crop top and grey leggings.

"I'm exhausted!" I said flipping myself back onto the bed with my arms wide open.

I heard a soft knock on my door and got back up this time sitting up properly with my short legs curled up under the sheets.

"You can come in." I finally said.

A young lady walked in and awkwardly stood at the edge of my pink carpet. She looked probably about twenty years old with short black hair in a ponytail wearing a white apron and a black mini dress underneath. She looked quiet decent actually.

"Please feel at ease." I giggled looking at where she stood - at the edge of the carpet.

She slightly smiled and came closer.

"Sorry to disturb you-" she started.

"Lilac." I stopped her.

I could see her smile a bit considering the fact that I hadn't been rude to her. Unlike my mother, I believe that everyone should be treated equally even those below us. After all, she's just trying to make a living.

"Your mother asked me to get you. She says it's urgent." Then there was a pause for a split second. "Lilac." She finally added.

"Thank you. I'll be down in a bit." I said trying to unwrap myself. "-knowing my mother she'll probably send three more people to call me." I finally said being able to stand up.

As I walked to the bathroom door I said: "Please tell her that the more she calls me, the longer she'll have to wait." then I gently shut the door to the bathroom hearing her giggle before she walked out of my room.

Out of the many places in my house there was only one place where I could be me. No disturbances, no nagging, no annoying mothers. Lol, don't get me wrong,  I love my Mummy.

I run the shower so hot that the mirror and windows stared to steam. I washed out the oil in my hair and revived it with the amazing mango and cinnamon shampoo Tyra recommended for bushy hair like mine.

I had finally finished grooming my hair and washing myself when I decided to cut my little sauna short.

Looking at my towel alone made me see how childish I was. It was a black large sized towel with minnie mouse printed on it. Believe me or not, but I sometimes talk to her.

After being super childish in the bath, I got out into my cold bedroom and put some olive oil through brown curls. I creamed my body put on some deodorant and opened up my closet. Considering the fact that it's cold I'll wear something comfy.

Holding up a black dior hoodie my mum got me for my 17th birthday,  I paired it with classic black leggings I bought at a shop in the airport. It definitely wasn't designer, but I loved to balance my sense of fashion. I quickly finished my look with a light layer of gloss of my own kind- Lilac Cosmetics and headed out of my room.

Our home wasn't really anything OTT, just cozy and modern with a pretty large pool.

Ps: That's my favourite part of the house.

As I was about to ender the dining hall, I felt a large strong pair of arms wrapped around my waist.

"Pick me!" The person said before jumping onto my back causing me to fall face flat onto the marble floor.

"I hate you Liam!" I screamed as I watched him wink at me then shake his stiff ass into the dining hall only wearing a pair of sweat pants.

The only thing that kept me from laying there till the next day was the thought of using his abs as a punching bag.

I stood up from the cold foor and dusted myself before waddling into the hall to sit myself down.

"Morning mummy."

Amber Chloette Manor - my loving mum who loves to pamper me like I was just born,  overthink my every move and keeps a close eye on me 24/7.

From my perspective, she really was a family person but was just preoccupied with running her law firm and my cosmetic business. I've always admired her for being such a woman.

She was sitting on the opposite side of the table with her laptop open holding a bunch of papers with those weird Harry Potter glasses on.

"Morning love." She finally replied while typing something into her computer.

As usual, breakfast was always a serve yourself issue so I did just that. Eggs, sausage,  bread and the last bit of bacon since Liam took them all.

"How was your trip dear?" Mummy asked still  looking at the computer screen.

"Good."

"Did you see the money I had deposited into your account?"

"Yes, thank you Mummy." I said in a sweet voice causing Liam to raise an eyebrow at me.

Being the kind and loving mother she is she had roughly about $50,000 deposited into each of our accounts - Tyra, Carrie and I. Generous you could say.

"You need to get your stuff packed Lilac. You'll be leaving at three." She said reading through some papers on the table.

"WHAT!" I spat put some tea I had in my mouth. "What do you mean by 'you'll be leaving at three'?"

"Read my lips love." And for the first time today she lifted her head to meet my gaze. "You'll.  Be. Leaving. At. Three." then she looked back onto her computer. "If you have a problem see your father Lilac."

"Meanie." I spat at her childishly causing her to smirk. "You have a dirty mouth on you Lilac." She said. "I learnt from the best."

She finally put her papers down and closed the laptop to look at me once more. "We love you Lilac, and want only the best for you. It's a lovely school I promise. Tell her Liam."

Liam looked over to her then to me then back to her. "Leave me outta this. These girls are dangerous." I just eyerolled his comment. "I need to leave. " he said taking out his phone. "I have a meeting in an hour."

He got up from his seat then walked over to mummy, brushing a strand of her brown curly hair behind her ear before kissing her cheek then turning to me.

Liam held my chin up and kissed my cheek just like he did with mum. "If I don't see you again, I'll text you." Then ruffled my hair before leaving.

"Hey!hey!hey!" I moaned at him then turned back to mum who surprisingly had her head back in her Macbook causing me to roll my eyes and leave.

I knew where I was going but he didn't. I was just hoping he was ready for world war III.

"Daddy!" I exclaimed, busting his office door open with my leg.

Oops...he was on a phone call.

He whispered something into the phone and shot me one finger meaning I should give him a minute.

Daddy was a wealthy man, a very wealthy man to be honest. He had lovely black hair like Liam and my other brother slicked down perfectly and looked dashing in a suit. He was about 5'7 where else I was probably a foot above 5.

My father was a really nice man to be honest,  generous as well. Even though most politicians are pretty corrupted he tries to make a difference. He doesn't really spend time with me, but I know that deep down he loves me. I am after all a daddy's girl.

He put his phone on his desk and slowly walked over to me with his arms crossed so I mirrored the action and slowly walked over to him as well.

"Talk to me." He said.

"Could you explain what mummy meant by I'll be leaving at three?"

"Ah yes." He said scratching his nose lightly. "I booked you in a week before lessons started."

Oh h*ll nah.

"Why?"  Now he had his arms over my shoulders. "Because you my little Lilac are a distraction. Besides, it'll be good. I promise."

"HOW AM I A DISTRACTION!?!" I accidentally screamed at him. Thank God my dad was a patient man, if this was the man in black, I'd be food for his bull dogs.

"Darling, calm down. I'm just trying to say you'll feel more embraced if you go a week before time."

I exhaled, closed my eyes and rubbed my temples trying to process this.  Maybe my dad was right. It could be good for me. I'd had enough stress over the past year. After a few minutes of thinking, I opened my eyes to find my father offering me a cup of water.

"What is this?" I curiously asked.

"It'll help you sleep later." He said ushering me to drink it.

Sh*t! That reminded me. I had insomnia.

My eyes filled up with tears and I hugged my daddy tightly. "Daddy my insomnia. It's going to be a problem."

He lifted my chin from the hug and said : "We'll sort it out alright?"

I trust my dad so I just went ahead and nodded.

"I'll go pack up then."

He nodded and gave me a kiss on my cheek before holding his index finger on my lip and saying in a low tone. "You won't be doing anything with these apart from answering questions and saying smart stuff to people who try to put you down. Is that clear Lilac?"

I giggled at his action. "Yep" I said popping the 'p'.

Airpods check, laptop check,  phone check, chargers check, credit card check... I repeated to myself all the essential I needed for a three month get away.

"Ready Lilac?" Mum peeped her head through my door. "Just about." I replied giving her a weak smile. She then entered to sit on my bed.

"Hard work pays off huh." She said pointing to my $6000 Louis Vuitton cases.

"I guess." I shrugged. "Come here." She said tapping the side of the bed beside her, so I obeyed.

"You're business is doing really well Lilac." She said. "I have an amazing manager." I replied causing her to blush. "I promise you Rosewood High is exquisite. They even have a sauna she whispered."

But before she could say anything else I hugged her tightly. It took her a few seconds  to reciprocate the action but she did...eventually.

"I love you Mummy." I said into her neck. "I love you too baby." We were like this for what seemed like forever but in reality was only 2 minutes. "Now" she said breaking up from the hug. "I want you to be careful Lilac. You don't want to -

"Yes mum, I get it."

"Great. Now go and make me proud." She said with a wide grin on her face.

"I always do mum." I said dragging my cases out of my room getting ready to embrace a change in life.

Dad was already downstairs in his shades when we got there. What is it with Manor men and shades I'd been asking myself for the last seventeen years. "Ready?" He asked helping me with my luggage.

"As ready as I'll ever be."

"Good." He held my face turning it left and tight scanning it as if he was checking for bruises and a black eye. "You'll be good won't you Lilac?"

"Yes ,yes." I said sarcastically rolling my eyes at him. "Where's Liam?"

"He had a meeting to get to, but he said I should send you his love and he hopes you don't put other innocent people in danger." Dad said reading the message from his phone. I just smirk at Liam's sense of humor then headed for dad's range giving my mum a last wave.
