"Girl, if you don't put my clothes ba-

"Shut the f*ck up bitch!" Tyra shouted at me while playing with a pair of red lace brassiers I owned.

Now can someone explain this? Why do best friends enter your room and think what's yours is theirs?

Carrie and Tyra had been trying on all my expensive clothes for the past one hour and dumping them on the floor like trash.

With the excuse that they need to look and I quote : "Something Exquisite." and this made me wonder what they meant by exquisite if not what they were dumping costs not less than a thousand dollars.

With every clothing that hit the floor, I felt my heart break...literally.

"Do y'all think this is good?" Carrie asked us holding up a plain white kneel leveled dress which slightly displayed her baby bump.

Yep, that's right, Carrie is pregnant.  Probably for a few weeks now but it's still noticeable.

When Tyra and I heard the news we couldn't be more excited to have a baby amongst us but we did feel a bit uneasy since Carrie is quite young being eighteen.

"It's perfect, just make sure Dean replaces my clothing." I told her before turning back to the book I was reading.

What was this? A charity store?

"Lilac?" A voice called causing me to look over to where it was coming from; it was my mum

"One sec guys." I addressed my best friends before walking out of my bedroom.

"What is it?" I asked her , crossing my arms on my chest.

"First of all, get rid of the attitude miss and second of all, where is Mathew?"

"Oh- I'll start keeping tabs on him."

"I thought I told you to get rid of the attitude, Lilac."

I simply rolled my eyes at her and walked back into my room which had now turned into something like a warehouse for clothes.

What's a bra doing on the window seal? I asked myself, walking over to take it off.

"Ladies, ladies, you're pretty." I got their attention as I tried my best to tidy up. "-we can go shopping or something, but I don't appreciate my closet being turned into literal carpets."

"What's up with you?" Carrie's resorted, jumping onto my bed. ""-I thought we were picking out what to were to Zion's party." Tyra chipped in.

"Let's just say I suddenly feel unwell." I kind of lied, flopping a huge pile of clothes on my bed and it was the that moment that I knew I had my work cut out for me.

"Come on, what's wrong?" Tyra asked, dumping the clothes back on the floor to sit on the bed.

At that very moment, I was contemplating on wheather to tell them or not. I mean... they are my best friends but some stuff are kind of embarrassing and personal.

Everything was wrong. Everyone except them for some reason knew about me and Malachi and I'd have to face that if I happened to go to the party. What happened to me trying to stay lowkey and on a more serious note, how in the hell did everyone find out!

My mind was ticking like a stop clock and with each second that passed and each possible lie that I tried to formulate, it brought me to a dead end.

It was at moments like these that I wished I hadn't been born.

Carrie kept staring into my soul waiting for an answer and Tyra kept looking at her long nails like it was the most interesting thing in this world. "Waitingggg..." she said, in a sing - song voice.

Using the closes thing next to me which was a pillow, I stuffed my face in it and tried to say what had happened.

"What?" Carrie asked, trying to pull the pillow off my face.

"M-er-alchi-issed." Was what I heard myself say...I think and I was starting to feel bad for them. What was I even saying.

Before I could try harder to make my attempt seem better, the pillow had been removed from my face and thrown onto the floor by Her Majesty making the words come out of my mouth as if on loudspeaker.

Someone kill me...now...please? Pretty please?

"You're joking right? Isn't that the presidents son?" Carrie asked, taking her phone off my nightstand probably to google it while her majesty just kept wriggling her eyebrows at me.

Fuck me. I need air.

Before any if them could display their new reaction, I rushed into the bathroom, locked the door and washed my face a few times. Who knew we'd be living in a world where your most embarrassing moments would be kn public display?

But was I embarrassed? Of...the kiss? A part of me was just because others knew about it and I wasn't too sure where it puts us not but the other part of me wanted to savour every second of it.

And it was at moments like those that I was grateful for the breath mints I carry around 24/7.

Malachi was running through my mind like water and my thinking was starting to cloud. What were we thinking?

I stared into the mirror and that exact moment came flooding back to me...

I pulled his shirt towards me and he happily obliged to the movement. Our lips slammed against each other's and it was divine intermission of time.

It was passionate to say at least. As our lips synced in unison the only thing I breathed in was the masculine cologne filling my nostrils and being pushed into my lungs.

As his lips moved smoothly along mine I couldn't help but smile at between it.

Okay. Enough! Dad always said in his household, it's disgraceful to be a coward and that's what I was being. So I should think its time to man up to my mistakes...well, my actions.

****

A few hours later, before we knew it, Carrie, Tyra and I were standing at the door of Zion and  Zara's parents house and I must admit...the White house isn't even that good. It was something out of Kylie Jenner's.

It hard to describe yet very easy to love. Must have cost a fortune but I guess that's what you expect when your children attend America's most elite school.

Rosewood high was not for the unprivilaged and even to get a scholarship you'd need to prove yourself more than a few times.

We live in a world where who you know and what you have can get you anywhere and even though not everyone had the ends to meet that, I do believe that everyone should have a free and fair chance.

All of a sudden, the door burst open and the girls and I strode in all with our sunglasses on trying our possible best to avoid any unwanted attention.

The plan was simple. Support the party hosts, mingle a bit and get the fuck out. I'm so not in the mood for drama tonight and because I had taken my sleeping pills, I was counting on it to be out by ten.

"What's popping?" A voice questioned, swinging their arm over me causing me to spin in their direction.

The person looked few years above twenty with disturbingly bright blue eyes and blonde hair clutching a cup of drink.

"Get off me." I tried to defend myself, ducking under his arm and all of a sudden, he was dead weight; passed out on the floor...just like that. But I don't blame him, he obviously had alot to drink.

Before I could share my annoyance about this person with my ride or dies I had noticed that I'd been abandoned.

I can testify over my life that this was bound to happen. Infact, it always does therefore,  I'd have to fend for myself...as always.

I walked over to the pool table which was crowded but at this point, with all sorts of people but one caught my eye.

"Get me a drink please?" I surprisingly asked Zion, by tip toeing amd whispering into his ear who was at the pool table.

"Shit!" He cursed indicating he had lost his shot. I would have said sorry, but honestly I didn't even understand the pool game. It just seemed like long walking sticks and baby balls.

"That was my ball gone Lilac!" He tried to debate

"Your actually balls will be gone if I don't get my drink." I replied, causing him to raise his hands up in surrender and waddle off to the drinks table so I decided to followed him.

Not like I'm being lazy or anything, but this is his house and I'm a guest so it'll be kind of weird for me to go pouring drinks.

"Tequila and coke?"

"Just coke please" I answered, causing him give me a blank stare.

"You could have got this yourself." He admitted, sliding it on the counter for me. "I know...but I didn't so thank you." I said, with a smirk playing on my lips as I opened the can.

"Cool house."

"Not really. Malachis' beats them all."

"Wait! He has a house?" I asked, nearly choking on the gas in my coke as I spun around to face him.

"You bet." A deep masculine voice answered, putting both hands on the counter beside me trapping me beneath him.

Malachi.

"You brag too much." I tried to sound strong beneath him but really my body temperature increased, my knees went week and my heart was beating at an abnormally stupid rate.

"Looking good, turtle." He said, finally backing off of me. "Thank you."

"Don't tell me you're blushing." Zion said, bringing me back to the reality that he was behind me all along. The only thing I did was shoot him a death glare and just like that, he was gone mumbling something along the lines of 'you were definitely blushing'.

"Look!" I said, drawing my attention back to Kai who was now casually scrolling through his  phone. "Can we talk, please?" I huffed, causing him to give me attention.

"What about?" He asked, very confused from the way his eyebrows lit up like fireworks.

"The...- I just couldn't find the right words. -and what's with the shades?" He asked.

I had totally forgot I had those on and no, I wasn't going to take them off. For all I know, theres some paparazzi lurking around here just waiting for me to fuck up and get rich.

Not gonna happen...not tonight.

"Ugh...just- though before I could finish my sentence, I was dragging him around looking for a less crowded section to talk.

"Here." I said pulling him into a dark room and shutting the door behind us leaving our surroundings pitch black...just great.

"Lights?" He questioned, and just like that he had switched a light switch on which I hadn't noticed before displaying we were in a bathroom.

A very posh, tight bathroom as a matter of fact and with ever breathe that I took, it was Malachi's cologne only which filled my lungs. The ventilation in here was equal to non and unfortunately, that'll be a fault on my portion on his portion, it's just drowning himself in an expensive perfume.

"Talk to me." Malachi said, leaning on the door as I leaned on the sink with my arms crossed looked at the floor.

"Everyone knows about the kiss."

After saying those five words, twenty- five letters, I felt a huge weight lifted off my shoulders and to be honestly,  I felt it was the right thing to do.

It was between both of us so keeping it would be very selfish not to talk of the fact that I'd need to dead with it alone.

"So...you're bothered."

I slowly looked up to meet his gaze. Was he serious?

"Aren't you? You're the presidents freaking son!"

"And you're Lilac Turtle Manor. What's the problem?"

"You're not getting the severity of the issue are you Malachi Washington?" I asked, him walking closer in attempt to intimidate him. So much for that though...we're nowhere close in height.

"I'm actually not suprised. People follow me all the time so I don't think this is a one off."

"You're giving me a headache." I admitted rubbing my temples. "Is that so?" He asked, in a low voice brushing a strang of hair away from my face.

"I'm...scared." I admitted, looking right into those blue eyes trying to find out why this didn't bother him as much as it did to me.

This could ruin his reputation ...and mine! And he was nowhere near concerned.

We were inches apart trying to "talk" and not to be weird or anything, but it was like we wer piercing holes into each others eyes.

Before I could react, it happened again.

We kissed.
