Anna's POV

It's been five years and a few months since Allison came into our lives and our now three year old son - Jason Mark O'Connell - joined our growing family.

It was a miracle I had not killed Matt yet for getting me pregnant again. But then he's the reason I have my children.

Our children.

"Honey?" I heard Matt call

"In here" I called back from the kitchen

He walked into the kitchen with his everyday work suit that just made him look hot.

He smiled when he saw me in the kitchen.
"Hey" he got behind me and hugged me

I sighed and smiled.

It's been twelve hours since I last saw him.

I felt him place a kiss on my nape as he began trailing kisses down. I had forgotten about the cookies I was wrapping in a foil.

"Matt?" I called in a sultry voice

"Humm" he answered

"T-The kids are around" I said getting lost in the feeling.

"I don't see them anywhere" he said

I smiled.

His hands went to my waist as he turned me around to face him.

"Hey" I said, still smiling

"Hey" He said back, also smiling before he kissed me

It was getting heated when we heard the footsteps down the stairs and let go of each other

"Daddy!" Jason yelled as he ran to the kitchen

"There's my hero" Matt picked him up and kissed him, making him giggle

"Daddy, I'm superman" Jason said as he held the end of his red cape

"I can see that" Matt said, amused "Where's your sister?"

"In her room" Jason rolled his eyes

I shook my head at that.

Kids!

"Go get her" Matt said as he dropped Jason down "Aunt Elsa and Aunt Kat will soon be here"

"Okay" Jason scurried away screaming his sister's name

I laughed
"You need to get ready" I told him

"And so do you" he said, then pecked my lips

"Lemme get these wrapped first, I'll join you when the kids leave" I told him

"I'll be waiting" he said making his way up the stairs.

I sighed and got back to wrapping the cookies with the foil. I was wrapping the second out of three plates when I heard the front door opening

"We're here!" I heard Kat yell

"You're late" I yelled back

"Just by a minute" Kat said as her voice drew nearer

"Where's little Matt and Anna?" Elsa asked

"He went to get his sister" I said "You guys look amazing" They looked really good in their red floral length dresses

"Oh they look great, Anna" Kat said looking at the cookies which I had decorated with different colours of icing and sprinkles.

"...and smell divine" Elsa said as she picked one and bit into it

Kat and I had made the ginger man, snowflakes, snowman and many more shaped cookies for everyone and she had to get ready for the family night, so she left the decorating to me and went home to get ready.

"Kat, why don't you make these for KAT's?" Elsa asked her

"Cause this is a special recipe" Kat said "The one I make for KAT's is also great"

"Yea. But not as great as this" I said

"Next Christmas then" she said making Elsa and I smile at that.

"Aunt Elsa" "Aunt Kat" We heard Jason and Alli's voice as the ran Dow the stairs

"I told you never to run down or up the stairs" I scolded them and it went on deaf ears as they were engulfed in their aunt's arms

"Hey Champ" Kat said to Jason "Looking good in your superman costume"

He grinned

"Aww, don't you look cute as an elf" she said to Alli

"Thanks Aunt Kat" Alli said "Where are your costumes?"

"Decided to hold it till next year" Elsa answered

They had helped Alli pick her Christmas outfit and she made them agree to wearing a costume along with her for Christmas.

"I can also hold on till next year" she said about to go back up the stairs to change

"Oh look at the time" Kat said "Grandpa and Grandma won't be happy if we're late"

"Grandpa" "Grandma" Alli and Jason yelled respectively making Alli forget about the previous topic

Kat took a plate of the cookie, leaving the other two to Elsa

"Let's go then" Elsa said as she shooed them towards the door with the cookie plates in each hand "You and my brother better hurry" she said to me

"We'll be there as fast as we can" I promised her as she left

I sighed and went up the stairs to get ready.

I entered the bedroom to find Matt getting ready. He hadn't seen me yet, so I just went into the bathroom before he saw me and took a quick shower.

Took out my make up kit which I always kept in the bathroom and made up. A simple but yet different look.

I applied some brown powder covering the few places I added foundation, did my brows, used a sliver glittery eye shadow blending it with a black and a nude one. Eye liner and mascara. A nude lipstick to finish the look.

For my hair, I made thick braids on either side of my head and crossed it round my head from the front and pinned it at the back of my hair, leaving just little of my hair below it. I joined the hair below with the one left in the middle and made it into a bun using a small band and some Bobby pins to hold it together.

I smiled at my reflection and went out the bathroom. I walked into our closet and picked out my dress.

Tonight was a family red tie dinner. So the women had to wear red. A Christmas colour.

I put on the backless floral length red dress which Elena - my mother-in-law - picked out for me.

I sighed as I saw my reflection. This is gonna be one helluva night. I put on a black strapy heel - not like anyone was gonna see it and matched it with a black glittery clutch.

I went out the room and made my way down the stairs. I saw Matt typing something into his phone.

"Let's go or we're gonna be late" I said

He looked up at me and I watched him freeze.

Seconds passed.

1, 2, 3,...

I raised my brow at him

...4, 5, 6,...

"Matt?" I called

"You-You look amazing" he said breathlessly

I smiled

If that's the case then please stare away.

"Thanks" I said

"Something's missing though" he said walking towards me

"What?" I asked, brows creased

His hand went to his back pocket and came in front of me with a red box
"This" he said

I stared at the box then at him, then back again

"Open it" he said

I slowly reached out and took the box. I opened it with shaky hands and gasped

"Merry Christmas" he said

I looked at him
"Matt, I love it" I said looking back at the dangling diamond earrings that were so beautiful "They're beautiful"

"Not more than you are" he said

I looked at him and went forward to kiss him.

"Thank you" I said smiling "I'm gonna put it on now"

"Good" he said smiling at me

I walked pass him towards the living room to put my clutch down and conveniently wear the beautiful earrings.

I stopped mid way when I heard Matt gasp, more like sucked in the air. I turned round after I dropped the clutch on the sofa.

I found him staring at me with a look I knew all to well.

I swallowed.

He walked towards me like a predator does to its prey.

He stopped directly in front of me without wavering his piercing gaze. I felt his left hand on my waist and slowly went to my lower back, where my skin was exposed. I felt heat all over my body and my toes tingle.

"You are gonna be the death of me" he said before he kissed me.

He didn't just kiss me. He ravished me, like he was hungry for nothing but me.

"If this wasn't a family thing, I would've skipped it for dessert" he said

I smiled at that.

"Good thing the kids are staying with dad and mum till New year" he said "Cause I'm gonna peal this damn sexy dress off of you. And it's gonna be on the floor of the entrance while we are gonna be in bed all week" he smirked

I felt my cheeks heat up

"Thank you for getting that image in my head cause now I won't be able to think straight" I said

"Oh that's perfect" he said "Cause the back of this dress keeps reminding me of the feel of your back when your riding me" he said

I gulped down and felt the pool of heat down there.

"We have to go" I forced out

He smirked
"What about the earrings?" He asked

"I'll wear it on the way" I said picking my clutch "Better than staying here and thinking of all the things we could do in the bed" I muttered

He probably heard cause I didn't exactly keep it to myself.

"Darn girl!" Elsa said when I walked in the O'Connell's living room which was so freaking big "You look amazing"

I felt Matt remove his hand from my back - believe me, he's having fun - and I watched him join the men.

Charles - my father-in-law and some of Matt and Elsa's other cousins

"Thanks" I said to Elsa "You're mum" I said when she was about to ask

"Ohh" she said

"Where's Kat?" I asked

"Probably tied down by mum in the kitchen" she said

Elena and Kat became really close cause they both love cooking. Kat helps out, more like is forced to help out, but she secretly loves it.

"Anna" I turned round to see Aunt Marjorie "You look great"

"You look amazing" I said hugging her

"Oh please" she said "If I do, I still won't be single at my age"

"There aren't any guy that could handle all that you could give" I said

She smiled.

Aunt Marjorie was truly amazing, she had a model figure and was in her forties. Elena's sister. She was truly amazing.

"Where are the twins?" I asked Elsa after Aunt Marjorie left to greet the rest of the family.

Yea, when I said 'Family red tie dinner', I meant FAMILY red tie dinner.

The whole family. It was more of a party-ish dinner. The O'Connell's was a big family and they were all close. Like a true family.

"Somewhere around" Elsa said

"I'm gonna say Hi to Elena" I told her

I traced my way to the kitchen which was like the whole of my old apartment I stayed in before.

"Anna!" Elena smiled when she saw me

"Merry Christmas Eve" I wished her as I kissed her cheek

"Same to you dear" she said "Thanks for the cookies"

"Oh, you're welcome" I said "Kat made them, I just decorated"

She looked at Kat
"I knew it was one of her creations"

Kat smiled, icing the cake
"Has Matt seen you?" She asked

"Yea. Why?" I asked

"Cause I'd have thought you guys will be here tomorrow, considering how hot you look in that dress" she said

"That was the plan" Elena said

I looked at Elena

"The reason I got this dress for you was to get a third child out of you since Elsa doesn't want to give me one...yet" she said

I stared at her in shock as Kat burst out laughing

"I don't wanna go through that again" I said

"Oh dear, not everyone wants to" she said "But when you're doing the deed that makes the babies, you forget all of that"

I smiled as Kat kept on laughing

"I hear babies" a voice said "Who's pregnant?" We turned to find Charles

"No one" Elena said

"Elena's trying to get Anna to give you and her a third grandchild" Kat said

"That sounds like something my wife would do" he kissed Elena's temple "...and something that would terrify Anna" he came to me

I smiled at him and hugged
"Merry Christmas Eve dad" I said to him

"Merry Christmas Eve to you too" he said "So what about that baby?" He asked after he let me go

"No more babies" I said

"Why not?" I turned to look at the him, I would know his voice anytime, anywhere

"Cause I don't want any more" I said

"But I do" he said

I looked at him, surprised
"You never said anything"

"Didn't wanna pressure you" he said

"Then why are you saying it now?"

"Cause everyone is telling you and I figured what could one more hurt" he said

"Right" I said "They're suffocating me and you just killed me" I walked out

Why was I mad?

Oh right. Cause my husband never once told me how he really felt about having a third child and now, when he's suppose to be on my side, he isn't.

I walked out - to the back yard that was more like a park than a yard - into the dark. I looked at the stars hoping to find my favourite two brightest stars that were always side by side.

Dad and mum.

"Hey" I felt him before I heard him "You're cold" he said when he noticed me rubbing my arms. Removing his jacket he wrapped it around me and put his hands in his pocket

Silence.

Crickets.

"Why didn't you ever think of telling me?" I asked

Silence.

"You were so adamant about not going through that pain again. Heck, I'm surprised you didn't kill me last time" he said "I didn't want to pressure you"

"You could have just told me either way" I said "We're suppose to tell each other everything. I feel really bad and guilty right now"

"Don't" he said turning to me "I'm at fault"

I shook my head and looked away
"If I never kept on repeating it like a mantra that I don't want to go through that again, you would have told me"

"Hey" he said placing his hand on my chin, bringing my face to his "I couldn't tell you when I saw how everyone kept on pressuring you for one more. I didn't want to be an addition"

"What changed?" I asked

"Christmas spirit?" He said

I smiled

"I'm happy if you're happy" he said "If you don't want another one, I'm fine with that too"

"I never said I don't want another one" I blurted out

He looked shocked
"What?" He asked

I smiled
"Matt, I always said I never want to go through that pain again. Doesn't mean I don't another one" I said

"I think it kinda does" he said

"Well, the pain is always worth it at the end" I said

He smiled

"That's my Christmas present to you" I whispered, smiling

"Getting you pregnant?" He asked "That's an everyday Christmas present"

"No silly" I laughed

"What then?" He asked

Silence.

"I'm pregnant" I said

His smile vanished an I got confused.

"Matt?" I called "I thought you said you wanted one more"

"I do. I do" he said, smiling "I'm just shocked and surprised"

"But happy?" I asked

"That's the best Christmas present" he kissed me

"10, 9, 8, 7,..." we heard everyone begin to chant the count down to Christmas

We walked inside to join them

"...4, 3, 2, 1, Merry Christmas" everyone yelled

I smiled and looked at Matt
"Merry Christmas" I said

"Merry Christmas" he said then kissed my forehead as everyone hugged each other.

Alli was with Charles and Jason with Elena.

I kept smiling as I watched my family, filled with love, joy and happiness.

That's the best Christmas present I could ever wish for.
