I must have slept off somewhere in the middle of all the pent up emotions cause I don't remember coming to bed.

I turned round and found Matt sleeping peacefully. He looked so young and adorable. How could a guy have lashes girls would kill for. I placed my palm on his face lightly and waited for a reaction but there was none. So I went on with my aim. I ran fingers on his hair line, his brows, beneath his lashes then his cheek bone. I didn't stop there, I went on to his lips and as slowly as possible I traced his lips from one end to the other. I placed the back of my hand against his stubble and moved my hand up and down. It tickled my hand and I loved it so...

His eyes snapped open and my hand froze. I didn't know if I should close my eyes and pretend to be asleep or get put of the bed and run as fast as I can. So I just froze and stared at him as he did to me.

His hand went round my waist as he dragged me very close to him. A few seconds passed before he slowly leaned in and kissed me.

I hesitated at first but then he bit my lower lip which made me open up for him. He kissed me like there's no tomorrow.
His tongue darted in and out of my mouth. I moaned at the effect on me. He shifted and before I knew it he was above me. He looked down at me with pleasure, his eyes had gone darker, his lips were red, his hair was ruffled. Bed or me, I wasn't sure which caused it. But it didn't matter cause it just made him look sexier.

I was breathing fast and my heart was pounding. I raised my hand and placed it behind his neck and into his hair as I dragged him down on me and kissed him. I separated my legs as he settled in between them. I raised my knees and hooked my legs around him.

An hour later, yeah an hour later! Don't judge me. All thanks to my hormones.
I rested in Matt's arms naked, not surprising. My head placed on his chest and my hand on his shoulder. His arm was around my waist.

I could hear his heart beat "Your heart's beating really fast" I told him

"I know" he said

"Why?"

"Cause you're around"

"Me?"

"Yes. Since day one you always made me feel like a school boy on his first date"

I chuckled at the idea of him 'shy' on his first date
"But you're suppose to be the kind of school boy who'd date cheerleaders and prom queens not the shy one who dates his kindergarten crush or his playmate"

"It was different in school compared to now"

"How?"

"I was bullied for a while till I got tired of being a joke and learnt how to fight" I looked at him shocked at what he just said "Then my dad told me the only way I could beat them all was being the best. So I made a promise that I'd not let anyone trample on me ever again. I struggled to get where I am now"

"I didn't know you were bullied. I'm sorry, Matt" I rested my head back on his chest

"It's all over now"

Silence

"You kind of seem like the type who could take a punch now," I said and his chest rumbled as he laughed.

"Only if I want to."

An hour later.

"Get dressed we're going out" he said after breakfast

"Where are we going?"

"It's for me to know and for you to find out" he smirked at me.

I went to my room, into my closet. I put on a bright floral gown which fell few inches above my knee. I wore a plain white sandal. Brushed my hair and placed a band on it. I put on a little lip gloss and went downstairs.

Matt was on the phone when I got there.

"...we're on our way" he said "Okay. See you there" he hung up and turned to me

"Who was that?" I asked

"Elsa" I had his full attention.

Silence

"What?" I asked when he kept on staring at me

"You look amazing" he smiled

I felt a blush rise in my cheeks "Thanks" I sighed inwardly

My efforts to look nice weren't wasted. Glory be to the most high.

"Lets go," I said and walked past him towards the door

A few minutes later

I turned to face him while he drove.

He was killing me with this silence. He hasn't said anything since we left the house and he hasn't told me where we're going.

All I've figured out is wherever we're going, Elsa's gonna be there.

But where were we going

"Why won't you tell me where we're going?" I asked him

He didn't say anything.

"Matt!" I shouted his name

He smiled and looked at me. I was getting frustrated with the silence. We've been at this since the time we left the house.

"Fine" he gave in after twenty minutes of badgering "My parents"

Silence.

He looked at me.

I blinked once. Twice.

"What?!" I snapped at him "Why didn't you tell me, I wasn't prepared. I'm meeting your parents for the first time and you couldn't give a girl some warning. What am gonna say to them. What if they don't like me?" I rambled "I'm doomed" I rested back on the seat.

"You'll be fine...and my parents are gonna love you" he looked at me "Cause I love you" he smiled

I smiled back.

That made it a lot less scary.

"And if they don't, they'll just have to forget about me," he said
I looked at him shocked.

"Matt!" I snapped "That's not helping my situation"

He laughed
"You'll be fine. I'll be there with you. Won't let you out of my sight" he said as he drove on

I sighed and held his hand which wasn't on the steering wheel.

A few minutes later.

Matt drove into a big compound. Way, way bigger than his. The flowers were neatly trimmed and the floor was gravelly. There was another car parked at the side of the house. Matt stopped the car and killed the engine.

We got out. I waited for him to reach me and I held his hand as we walked to the entrance. He opened the door and entered after letting me in.

"Mum?" Matt called

We walked through the hallway. The inside was painted cream. The decor was phenomenal. The couches were grey and had different sizes of cushions in different colours. The curtains matched the wall and they fell just inches away from the floor. The widow behind the curtain was a top to ceiling window. The light came into the room which gave it an amazing feeling and brightness. It was like a room out of things you see in magazines and movies.

"Matt?"I heard someone call out

A young woman came out of a corner of the room. She was the mature version of Elsa and looked a little like Matt with the same hair colour, asides from that, nothing else could show that she was his mother. Adoptive mother that is. She smiled when she saw Matt. She approached us and hugged Matt.

"Mum," Matt said

She let go of him. "Charles! Matty is here" she raised her voice. She touched Matt's face "I was wondering when next I was gonna see you".

She looked at me and the smile vanished

Well, that's not a good sign.

Matt turned to me and smiled
"Mum, I want you to meet Annabelle Vaughn; my girlfriend," he said

She looked at him with a curious expression

"Girlfriend?"

"Yea mum" he turned to me "Anna, my mum; Elena O'Connell"

I stretched out my hand for a shake
"It's really nice to meet you Mrs O'Connell" She smiled and shook my hand

Well, that's a start.

"Matt has told me soo much about you" I let go of our hands. Matt gave me a silly smile and I knew what it was for.

Okay, Matt has never really talked about his mum...or Dad. But the time he did speak about them. They sounded amazing but you never can tell.

A young tough-looking man entered the parlour. He was tall and well-built with black hair. Although Matt was adopted, there was a hint of similarity in the way they looked.

"Dad," Matt said when he saw him

"Matty," his dad said and hugged him "Been long son"

"Just a few months Dad"

"Work keeping you busy?"

"As usual" he smiled at his dad

His dad turned to me and a smile was plastered on his face.
"Ah, who's this young lass" his dad approached me

"My girlfriend, Dad" Matt answered

"Your girlfriend?" His dad looked shocked. He looked at me and extended his hand "Charles O'Connell"

I gave him my hand "Annabelle Vaughn" I smiled

"Pretty name for a pretty face," he said and let go of my hand

I blushed "Thank you Mr. O'Connell"

Like father like son. Now I know where Matt got his charms from.

"Oh please, call me Charles," he said

Elsa chose that minute to enter the room
"Matt!" She shouted and jumped for a hug when Matt opened his arms.

"Hey sis" he lifted her and twirled her as a man entered the room.

He looked younger than Matt, but maybe just a few years. He was gorgeous but not as gorgeous as Matt. He had blonde hair.

Matt dropped Elsa when he saw the guy.
"Lincoln? What are you doing here man?" He asked the guy

"Got invited," the Lincoln guy said "It's been long"

They did their guy handshake, hug, slap-at-the-back thingy.

"Been long man," Matt said

"Matt?" Elsa said "Linc is now my boyfriend," she said

"No kidding." He looked back at Lincoln "Good for you man. Hurt her and your dead" he said seriously to him

"Matt!" Elsa scolded him. Then she saw me "Belle!" She ran to me and gave me a warm hug.

"Hey," I said when she let me go

"How are you?" She asked

"I'm great" I smile at her

"Kat told me you didn't chicken out. Guess that's why you're glowing" she said "Mr. Hot's keeping you busy" she whispered

I looked at her in shock. Matt heard her cause he was grinning like a fool.
"Where's Elsa and what has Kat done to her?" I asked

She laughed and I joined her. She pulled me towards Lincoln, where Matt was.
"Belle, this is Linc; my boyfriend. Linc, this is Belle; my best friend and Matt's girlfriend" she said

"Hello, nice to meet you." He shook my hand.

"Same here" he let go of my hand

"Elsa always talks about you and Kat," he said

"Well she's told me absolutely nothing about you," I said

"We've been friends since childhood but we just started going out," he said

"Well that explains it," I said

"That's enough introduction for one day," Elena said "Why don't we all take it to the back"

Matt held my hand as we all exited the parlour through the hallway and past a few other hallways and staircases and into an even bigger parlour which was made of glass walls and creams curtains pushed to the side. The wall was the same as the first's. I noticed that one of the glass walls was a door and beyond the door was a large swimming pool and a BBQ Grilled. There were beach chairs underneath umbrellas placed on the green grass. Beyond the pool was a stunning view of the city. It was absolutely breathtaking.

We all sat. Elsa and Lincoln backed the pool, Matt and I sat opposite them and Elena and Charles were on our left facing the big television that was showing a game that caught the guys' attention.

"So how long have you been together," Elena asked me

"Uh, two-three weeks, give or take," I said

"Weeks?" She asked with a shocked expression

"Yes Mrs O'Connell," I said

"Oh please. Elena" she said

I smiled at her.

"So are you done with school," she asked

The most dreaded question.

I felt Matt squeeze my hand. I sighed
"No. I had to quit for a while" I said

"Oh, why?" Charles

"I had to take care of something important" I said praying they'd stop there and skip to another question but no. They just had to kill me on the spot

"What could be more important the graduating and finishing school?" Elena asked

My heart pounded so fast but I couldn't feel the pounding cause it was already doing a drumroll.
