Kamiya

I walked inside the house holding Nick. Cameron had Nia and she was sleeping. When we got inside I saw Jamila sitting in the couch watching SpongeBob.

Nick started to make noise and Jamila turned. She saw the kids and made a confused face.

"Who babies?" She said

"These are our siblings." I said walking to the couch.

"Pam kids?" She asked

"Yep." I said

"What's wrong with her?" She asked

"She's dying." I said

Jamila gasps and covered her mouth.

"Oh my god how? What happened?" She asked

"I'm guess AIDS since her husband died of it." I said

"How can you be so calm? Our mother is dying and you're acting like your okay with it. Your so damn heartless." She said

"Look I feel bad that she's dying but she's put me though a lot. Me and you both have been though so much because of her. Ain't no way in hell she'll receive sympathy from me." I said

"She's still your mother Kamiya." She said

"Did you know that when I was 9 she almost let a man rape me?" I asked

"What? You never told me that." She said

"She left me outside because I was acting up in school. I was to stay out there in the cold for 15 minutes as a punishment. When the time was almost up she walked downstairs and waited until the time was done. During that time a grown ass man decided to try to talk to me. He gripped my ass and she just watched. I heard her timer dinged and she came to get me." I said

"I don't understand. What wouldn't you tell anyone about this? I didn't know she was like that." Jamila said

"She never did anything to you because I wouldn't let her. She tried to beat you and I stopped her and took it for you. She tried to leaving you outside when you were 6 and I didn't let her. She almost threw a frying pan at you but I caught it before it touched you." I said

"That's why you had that knot in your forehead." She said

I nodded

"Miya I'm sorry you just don't act like anything happened."'she said

"I hate what happen and I hate to bring it up now let's move on." I said wiping the light tear from my face.

"Okay what are their names?" She asked

"Nia and Nick." I said

"Are they staying here?" She asked

"Nope she left up a house about a block from here so we're going to go there." I said

"What? Why?" Cameron asked

I turned to him.

"I don't wanna put all my stress on you." I said

"I already told you that I would help you." He said

"I know but Nick is like 6 months and I don't want him waking you up in the middle of the night. Plus I need to start on my own somewhere." I said

"Why now? You can't wait until you're 40 to move out?" He asked

"Baby it just a block from here. You can walk there." I said

"That's not the same as walking upstairs to you." He said

"You'll be okay and you can come over whenever you want." I said

"It's still not the same but I understand. You wanna be independent then I'm okay with that." Cameron said

"We leaving tonight." I said

"Hell no. Fuck no. The fuck you wanna leave so quick for?" He asked

I start laughing.

"I'm playing calm down. We gotta look at the house first." I said

"Man okay." He said

"You act like a baby." I said

"I'm your baby." He said

"No you a grown ass man now help me out." I said handing him Nick.

"What I'm supposed to do with him?" He asked

"Change him please." I said

"I guess." He said

I walked into the kitchen and sat on a stool. I put my head down and began to think. Karmen sent me a text earlier about the other night. She went to a party that I couldn't attend because I was at the hospital with Mikah that night.

When I think about it I've only been able to actually be a teen a handful of times. Growing up I was scared to leave Jamila alone with Pam so I never really went anywhere. I was mostly home all the time. I've never actually experienced having real fun. Now I really can't because I have to raise Nick and Nia. I know it's not their fault but I just wanna live.

"You okay?" I heard Jamila asked.

I nod. She sit in front of me.

"Are you positive you wanna raise them? I'm not saying put them in foster care I'm just saying your a little young." She said

"I'll be fine plus Cameron will help me out." I said

"I will too I don't want to put all the work on you." She said

"I mean they are your siblings too." I said

"And that's why I'll watch them sometimes." She said

"Well thanks for trying." I said

She nod.

"Yo this lil nigga shit green and ion wanna touch it." Cameron said walking through the kitchen door.

"I don't wanna change him either." I said

"One of us got to." Cam said

"Mila you said you wanted to help." I said towards her.

She started looking around the kitchen.

"I know what to do." Cam said

He left the kitchen and came back with Nick. I followed him outside and watched.

He sat Nick on a little plastic thing. I watched as he got the water hose and turned it on mist. He started spraying Nick butt with it. Nick started giggling and laughing.

This is going to be a mess.

Pam

I walked into my home nice and slowly. I put my purse down and went upstairs. I heard footsteps and turned. I saw my husband standing there looking as fine as ever.

"How'd it go?" He asked wrapping his arms around me

"Great. They took to sob story and everything. The kids are gone and I will be pronounced dead in 3 hours. We can finally start over fresh." I said

"You gave her the pity money?" He asked

"Yeah she was so happy about it." I said

"Your kids are the dumbest people I've ever met." He said

"Just Kamiya I mean if they know who you where they would have known that you would have the cure for AIDS." I said

"One day she'll learn." He said

"Now since we're clean let's make another baby." I said

"Yes ma'am." He said throwing me back on the bed.

Ice

I screamed as a punch landed on my already swollen eye. After they finished beating me up Mr. Price came in smoke a blunt. It was loud and I could tell.

"You feeling dead yet?" He asked me.

"Just kill me already." I said

"No that wouldn't be any type of fun." He said

I watched as Larry and Barry came from behind him. They both has the strongest punch in the US. My balls dropped when they started walking towards me.
