Lana

It had been two weeks since Lana had seen Ryan. She was on a plane again, but not to Virginia. It was her birthday and Ryan had sent her a plane ticket to New York. She didn't care where she was going only that she would see him.

So much had happened since she left Virginia. She quit her job after promising to stay long enough for Oliver to find her replacement. He finally hired a waitress who worked at one of the chain restaurants by the mall which recently closed. Serving meals at Les Bistros was a lot different from serving steak and deep fried onion, so Lana would have to train her. The only reason she had the night off was it was her birthday, and she had to be back for her shift the following evening.

When she stepped off the plane, Ryan was waiting for her. Because he just flew in himself, he could wait at her gate. The minute she saw him she ran into his arms and knew it wasn't a dream. He still loved her.

She pulled back. "Why are we here?"

"You don't want to spoil the surprise, do you?"

"I don't need a surprise I just need you."

"Good, because we're going to check in so I can show you just how much I missed you."

Lana's entire body reacted to his words. She felt her nipple tighten and heat in her core, she couldn't wait to get to the hotel.

Later, when she was dressing for the evening, Ryan was dressed in a suit looking extremely handsome. "I have something for you."

Lana took the beautifully wrapped box, it was small but long and flat. If it held jewelry, it would be a necklace and not a ring, not that Lana expected a ring so soon. She slowly unwrapped the paper and opened the lid to reveal tickets. As she looked closer, she saw they were to Wicked. "I can't believe you! You remembered!"

"Lan, I remember everything you've ever told me."

She kissed him. "I love you. This is my best birthday ever."

Ryan took her hand. "I have one more surprise, but you need to shut your eyes."

She did as he said and her breath hitched as she felt him slide something on her finger. As he did, he whispered. "I told you I remembered everything you said, including hating public proposals, and so Lana Drake will you love me forever and be my wife."

Her sight was blurred with tears as she opened her eyes and saw a beautiful solitaire diamond with a Platinum band. She flung herself at him and sought his lips. "Was that a yes?"

"Yes! You know I hate you!"

"What did I do?" He was amused.

"You've made me ruin my makeup."

"You look beautiful to me, but if you need to fix it, go now because we have a dinner reservation and a show. It's one of those fancy restaurants, and for some reason tonight, I'm not even going to care if there's a proposal."

Lana laughed. "Me either."
