October 15th

November Smith

There is - and always has been - only one person who knows where my stash is. Well sure, I have plenty of things stashed in different places, but this is the most important.

It contains three things:

•Kitkats

• Hershey's Cookies & Cream bars

•Cheetos

I make sure that that one person is the only person who knows where it is, and it's always been that way. That one person is my best friend, Katie.

So, it was a surprise when I came home after school to find April sprawled out on the couch, white chocolate outlining her mouth as she sloppily shoved chunks of the Cookies & Cream bar in her mouth, licking it, before taking it out and doing it again. On the floor next to the couch, Kitkat wrappers lay along with the wrappers of snack-sized Cheeto bags.

"April!" I screeched.

Her eyes widened, making her look like a deer in the headlights. She blinked.

Once.

Twice.

Thr-

She let out a blood curdling scream as I lunged at her, taking the last bit of the Hershey's bar that was in her hands. I grimaced at the sliminess of it, but tried to not let it phase me.

"Where did you find these?" I growled.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry!" she scrambled behind the couch, tears falling down her face.

"November." A stern voice called out.

I turned around to find my mother standing at the doorframe to the kitchen, looking confused.

"What in earth are you doing?"

"Mom, she ate it all! My stash is gone," I complained.

Mom got an excited look on her face, "Oh, Dear. We'll have plenty of money to buy you anything you want soon enough!"

Now, it was my turn to look confused. "What?"

"Nova's getting married! Nova's getting married! Na Na Na boo boo!" April chanted, jumping around on the couch.

"Mom," I spoke, my voiced filled with panic.

"Sweetie, go in your room and play with your barbies, okay?" mom rested a hand on Aprils shoulder, leading her towards the stairs.

The four year old red head pouted, stomping all the way up the stairs.

By the time she came back, I was sitting on the couch, arms crossed. I raised an eyebrow at her.

She sat down next to me, on the edge of the couch, and put a hand on my leg. "Please, try not to get too upset."

"I'm not promising anything until I get told what's going on." I stubbornly replied, watching the TV -- which was currently switch on mute.

"There's this boy, and he, well lets just say that he's not in the best of places right now. His parents are extremely worried about him, and they really need someone to set him straight. When I heard about this, I thought about you and how dominant you are, and how you're fast to correct if gotten wrong.." She took a deep breath, quickly glancing at my confused face. "The boy -- he's your age, he's a great boy, he really is. Hell, he might even go to your school! But that's not the point. What I'm trying to say is," she paused, taking my hand, "he needs you. A girl who will set him straight, and use her dominant powers against his. They're giving away half a million dollars to whoever marries him."

"So you're saying..?" I trailed off.

"It's time to go meet your future husband."
