He was observing the screen, he could see the amount of money that he had in that account, he was happy, because no one could catch him.

He signed the papers, he look at them, he was "granting" Charlotte's freedom with just a simple paper.

He remembered the brown locks of hair, the happy smiled that help him to survive after he was alone.

Charlotte was a good girl, a good friend, she always was a bright person, and had a happy and easy solution for everything.

He should felt blessed when she confessed her love for him.

Charlotte was an angel, or sort of. He was the good and sad guy. She was everything for him for a moment.

Victor realized that he never loved her for real. He was a heartless bastard, who marry her for simpaty and that feeling...

The feeling that he owed something to her, and making her happy... He was so wrong. He thought that he loved her. In a way was true, but... in the end, very deep inside him, he still was in love with Valery.

Now, he was about to become father again, Charlotte and Valery were carrying his babies and he felt that he was in a dead end.

Victor closed the bank page and put everything on its place. He pass through his hair a hand and walked to the window.

He must take care of the matter, and make a choice... stay forever with Charlotte because he had to or be happy with the love of his life...

Take the leap of faith, that was the most difficult thing... two children with Charlotte, but being unhappy... or have the family that  he ever wanted with Valery.

The sunset was beautiful, his brown eyes could see the clouds with orange and violet spots on them.

He was taking a moment when a blonde caught his attention. It was Charlotte, he look at her. Observing how his wife developed in that woman, sometimes cold, sometimes so warm.

A black car approched to her, and she leaned to the window of the back of the car. That got his attention, Charlotte was in deep chit chat with someone that he couldn't see, and he felt relieved somehow.

She said goodbye to the person in the car and walked across the street.

He opened the door for her, and she give him a kiss on the cheek. She was bright as always, being a perfect wife, just like he wanted it.

He look at her, after Nina arrived and how she played with Marvin, a sensation pinched his chest when he saw his son, Marvin was more Charlotte than him.

Maybe Charlotte cheated too?

No. That's impossible, because Charlotte was sumissive, maybe she bitter because of him, but a cheater... who in the world would take her as lover.

"Victor, did you hear me?" Charlotte stand in front of him wearing a nightgown and she checked his temperature.

"Yeah, I'm fine"

"Well, I thought that you may feel sick, you are spacing out, it's something worrying you?"

Victor grabbed Charlotte's shoulders and smiled to her, then he kissed her forehead.

"What were you saying?"

"I said, that we were invited to a dinner, remember judge Miller? His wife talked to me, she came in a black car, the lady have a driver, must to be nice."

Charlotte's words faded into his ears and then two bags made him curious.

"You were shopping?" He pointed the bags, she was entering to the bed.

"Yeah... a few days ago"

"What did you buy?"

"Something that didn't fit, I'm going to return it..."

"What's in the white bag?"

"A little dress... are you going out tonight?"

"No, not tonight."

***

She regretted the choice, but she had to. There's no way that Victor would live with her, no after she received "the thing" from Charlotte, it was like Charlotte was mocking of her.

She read the note again, over and over...

"Victor didn't liked, please do what you have to, and return it.
                                      Charlotte."

Now in the mirror was looking herself and then she hated herself for being so weak.

Victor was at her door, knocking slowly. She didn't feel ready to confront him.

She took a moment, breathed deeply resting her forehead against the door.

"Hi Victor," She moved and let him in, he waited for her to tell her something but she didn't.

"Are you mad?" He asked her, looking her so serious.

"No, I'm not, I just tired, what brings you here?"

"I just wanted to see you."

"Well... want something to drink" She was walking away from him, when he suddenly hugged her. "What are you doing? let me go"

"Be prepared, soon we are going to be a family. We'll be leaving in a few days"

"That's impossible, we can't be a family."

"What? Why?"

"We just can't"

She avoided his gaze, but the feelings were drowning her in frustration. Victor grabbed her shoulders.

"What's going on, you can tell me"

"No more..." She whispered, confusing him.

"No more? We are going to have the family that we always wanted, and you say no more? Tell me why!"

Valery began to cry, she couldn't hide it anymore, he had to know.

"She knows, I can assure you, she knows and she is not going to let us be."

"Who? Charlotte?"

"Yes, who else! The damn witch knows, she is mocking of us."

"What she do to you?" Victor moved aside, getting angry. He may not know Charlotte so good as he thought.

Valery walked away and brought to him, a white  bag. Victor saw that it was the same one that Charlotte had back home days ago. He observed a white baby dress.

"A little dress"

Victor remembered Charlotte's words and saw Valery's face.

"What are you going to do?"

"Stay with her, she is going to have your baby."

"And what about us?" Valery denied with her head.

"There's no baby anymore"

"Don't tell me that you... Please, don't... What have you done?"

"I..." She cried, cried painfully. Victor went mute and hugged her thightly.

"Charlotte is going to pay for what she done, and then you and I,  we are going to be together forever. I promise you."

Her teary dark brown eyes, look at him hopefully. And then, she finally nodded.
