"If you do it carefully, you'll see how pretty it looks, see? You make a beautiful tree!"

Charlotte was spending time with Marvin, sat in the floor. Suddenly the door was open and Victor came in.

"Dress up, were are leaving"

She just move her head and saw the wall clock and return her attention to Marvin.

"I told you to..."

"Why? It's 7:30 pm"

Charlotte answer him in bad mood, facing him without fear. He only saw her and move his arms trying to keep himself calm.

"We were invited to a dinner"

"What? We?"

"Yes, it was my boss idea, so move it, they wait for us at 8:30 pm"

Charlotte stood up, and got closer to him.

"What about Marvin? Nina is at school"

"We'll call a nanny, ok? Hurry up please."

Charlotte hurried and she was choosing some dress, but she hesitated.

"Where will be the dinner?"

"At Luigis, are you going to take a shower?"

"Nah, I already did"

She began to undress in front of him, and she choose a cocktail white dress with sleeves, so she can look good in that fancy restaurant.

He left her alone, so he could call a nanny and wait for her. Minutes passed by and Charlotte was ready. Her hair was now in a easy updo, red lips and those heels that Sebastian liked.

Stepping out she impressed her husband and the agency nanny. Whom Victor was giving her the instructions.

"If you need anything, please call to my number"

The woman only nodded, Charlotte kissed her boy and slowly walked to the door, and she headed with Victor to the dinner.

In the restaurant, Victor and Charlotte were recieved by Victor's co-workers.

"Woah Griffin, I can see why you always want to go home"

A man said and Charlotte only smiled, she was watching how the other wives were observing her.
She tried to join to the talk but she remain mostly in silence.

Then, a woman stepped into the scene getting the attention from everyone.

"Evening"

She said, making Charlotte surprised. Katrina was standing in front of everyone, wearing a little black dress, her long and dark locks fall to her shoulders, and she didn't miss the pair of gold stilettos in her feet.

Sebastian came in later. He loose the bottom of his black jacket and show his black shirt, he was always impecable, smiling to everyone.

"I'm so sorry for being late, you must be hungry"

"You can be late, you're the boss"

One of the man said and his wife hit his shoulder as everyone laughed about his comment.

"I like that sense of humor, shall we?"

Sebastian politely show the way and they entered to a reserved area. Everything has the touch of a tipical and elegant italian restaurant.

"Hey boss, please tell us if you own this restaurant"

Sebastian took a chair offering the seat to Katrina. He smile a little bit annoyed, but yet he answered.

"No, restaurants are not my thing, please everybody take a seat"

Victor and Charlotte remain in silence, he was trying to get information about anything, and she was discretly observing Sebastian.

"So, Mr. Carmine, your wife is so beautiful"

A woman said, trying to get information for the monday chitchat.

"I'm not his wife"

Katrina interrupted, getting the attention to her bright red lips.

"I'm his friend, the company absorb him too much, so he can't get a date, besides, he always pick unreachable women. I'm Katrina by the way."

Both of them smiled, amusing everyone but Charlotte, who, now was interested in Katrina's words.

"I must confirm everything that she said, but you're so cruel Katrina; please, is enough of me, and enjoy this moment, and the dinner."

Sebastian tried so hard to not be the central point in the dinner, he wanted to know everyone, in a more relaxed atmosphere.

He realized by the corner of his eye, that he was being observed by Charlotte.

She was so calm, in silent, observing every move in the place, listening every word. While on while, Victor whispered words to her and she nodded and smiled. He wished her smile, having her to his side, but for the moment he couldn't.

Katrina only remained in silent, only enjoying the view about her possessive friend, then she decided to make a move. She asked some guy next to her, to change seats with her.

"So... How you been doing?"

"I'm fine, how are you?" Charlotte thanked in secret for having someone who talk with, not only her husband.

"How do you know each other?"

Victor interrupted them, frightening Charlotte and making her hesitate.

"We met before, in the mall, she was buying a dress, if I'm not wrong"

"Yes, in the mall" Charlotte only said that, relieved. Katrina took her and smiled to her, to be calm again and play along.

"So, what dress did you buy?"

"T-The green one"

"I see, that was gorgeous"

And keeping the talk made that Victor ignore them.

"What are you doing here?" Charlotte asked in the first opportunity that she had. Katrina looked around her and answer.

"Sebastian invited me, Jealous? Ha ha sorry I'm joking. The truth is that I'm here to observe them, so please act natural, and enjoy the night."

Charlotte nodded, wondering herself how she can enjoy the night while Victor and Sebastian were in the same place, and one of them hunting them. She didn't feel at ease, no matter how Katrina's words tried to calm her down.

The dinner kept its course, some jokes were told, and flattering comments about Sebastian and Katrina, everything in there felt so hollow, so superficial, and the only thing is that she had to remain just like a perfect doll.

"Honey, we must go" Victor call her, and she for the first time was glad for that. She had too much time under Sebastian's gaze.

They said goodbye to everyone, and left the place, feeling a little bit concern about Sebastian's plans.
