**KRISHNAA'S POV**

Not again. I am gonna make it their on time. Hence I ran, I literally ran on my heels. Why I decided to wear heels today?

Oh yeah...because Saumya was there and that girl hide all my comfortable shoes. How can she expects me to walk on these heels when I manage to fall even in bare foots. But still I think today is my lucky day because I haven't fell on my face till now and if I make it there in 2 minutes I will not be late for meeting.

When I reach, I pull the knob and entered the meeting room. But I think I jinx myself with my own words, because suddenly my foot tripped and I was on my way to floor waiting for a painful thump, still hoping for my knight in shining armor to save me though I don't believe in these stuff. And that didn't happen. I fell on the floor on my butt which hurts.... Alot.

Suddenly a sound of laughter boomed through the room. I don't even have to raise my head to know whom this laughter belongs to because I know that person like back of my hand. It's of my alter ego, my best friend Samyak Chandra and it's not so unpredictable.

"Wow...what a funny scene Sammy. Let's all laugh at krishnaa. Hahahaha."  I said sarcastically. I noticed there is no one other than us in room so I didn't try to get up in hurry. Don't want to hurt my leg more. He tried to settle down his laughter but at the same time not even putting effort.

"Your clumsiness never ceases to amuse me Krish" He said while squatting down beside me and looking into my eyes. I wonder why I am friends with this jerk. This 25 years old idiotic jerk.

Samyak Chandra is my best friend since last 3 years. We met in 1st year our post graduation. We both did MBA from the same Business school and since then he never left me in peace and keep annoying the hell out of me. But still I will not trade him for the world. He describes himself as  rich, handsome, smart, loving, caring blah blah blah. Well it's not totally a lie, he is some sort of a multi billionaire and a tad bit good-looking but other than that he is a good person, and a very supportive best friend. Though right now I am hating him for making my fun.

"Are you planning on sitting here all day because board members are going to walk here in exactly 10 minutes. I know I am hot and you can't keep your eyes off of me but babe only for you I will allow you to stare as much as you want after the meeting. So now stop eye raping me and get up. " He said huskily and smirked but also gave me his hand to pull me back on my legs.

I scoffed and get up on my own. What does he think of himself. I am not fragile. " You wish dude. " I replied still grumpily.

" Oh.. I don't have to wish. I know how obsessed you are with my abs"

I roled my eyes at his comment and brush off the dust from my suit. "Why ain't everybody is here. I thought meeting is at 12:15" I raised my brows confusingly.

"I knew you will again be late. So i asked dad to inform you a time 15 minutes before the real time and guess what he said yes and look here we are. " He chuckled while saying.

"You know you are an ass. You took away my precious 10 minutes." I complained and sat on the chair and started examining my ankle as it's paining.

"Why thank you for your compliment krish. I am glad I am apposite for being an ass who saves you from the hassle and humiliation of coming late. Because dad said board members have something very important to discuss." He said and kneel down in front of my leg and started examining my ankle. Well he is right. Raghav uncle also told me that it's a crucial matter. Suddenly he twisted my ankle and I hiss in pain.

" Don't worry. You haven't damaged it. Pain will subside in few hours. Why the hell are you wearing these heels in office. I told you not to wear them. I am very well versed with your clumsy tendencies. It will be a miracle if you go down a week without hurting yourself. " He mocked me and shook his head but also started massaging my ankle.

I smile at his gesture but about to retaliate with my words but then suddenly the doors get opened and board members started walking in. Raghav uncle was with them.

Hell. He will must get mad at us after seeing us in this position. There is a thing about him....he is a very very nice person. Even the best person you'd meet. But when it comes to his work, he takes it very seriously and expects the same from everyone. He must be thinking I am taking my job for granted as I work in his other company.

But unlike other times where he reprimanded me and Samyak to behave professionally in office and not like best friends. This time he smiled and walked to us. "you again manage to fall" He said while smiling. Like father like son. I smiled inwardly at that.

"What can I say. Mother earth loves me so much that it keeps pulling me to her." I joked. He laughed along with us.

"Gentlemen, please take your seats. We will start the meeting in 5 minutes" He announced and everybody started to sit in there usual seat and he walked to his seat. The seat of director.

"I can sense something is fishy." Samyak whispered while sitting besides me.

"I know. I am also feeling like something big is going to happen. I never saw Raghav uncle this calm" I whispered to him.

Suddenly a voice of clearing thought made me jump on my seat. I looked to my front and bring my focus to the topic of meeting which was still unknown to me.

And I never expected it to be that life shaking.
